DDL was a 2-shot role that could function perfectly fine as a civilian ability. Role claiming is allowed, and Jay is our host. He wouldn't make the game so easy that anyone can clear themselves just by suggesting they have a certain role.

So you think she could have been claiming DDL's ability? I don't remember the circumstances of her claim. Was she under lynch pressure?

No. My point is just that claiming to have a 2-shot ability in this game is by no means conclusive evidence of anything.

nutella's vote does have me thinking about how the remaining mafia would be treating this right now.te reason I panicked about the DDL wagon yesterday was because I assumed something like the former, but now we can see that DDL's partners were perfectly willing to throw him under the bus. If we've similarly nailed SVS, it'd be difficult for her partner to avoid hopping on board.

But if we're wrong about SVS then we're just steamrolling ourselves and somebody is laughing at us. nutella has put another name forward and, just like yesterday, luna's first response is to say no to it. I dunno what that means, but it's a thing.

Ah, SVS voted for luna Day 1 and luna seems to have taken offense. I guess I like that. The second post is intriguing. At face value, it looks a bit weak for luna to give in to peer pressure like that, but now knowing that SVS was bad, I find myself doubting that luna would give in to phony pressure from a teammate on this issue. If she was going to orchestrate a vote change onto a known civilian, she wouldn't wait for or need her teammate to prompt her.

None of this reads like teammates interacting. SVS seems legitimately provoked by luna's vote, and luna seems to be sincerely progressing through her read.

This is probably the one weird point I can find. DDL was cruising to a lynch. I switched to luna for an alternative. Then I switched to SVS, and luna responded with a bit of shock. She'd been at least mildly suspicious of SVS since early in the game, and now I was presenting an opportunity to lynch her (rather than luna herself).
The flipside of this is that the response doesn't really make sense for baddie luna either. I think it's more likely that she was just confused by my abrupt switch.

She explains the read here, but it's a little concerning that luna started to resist the SVS wagon a bit as it was gaining momentum. I don't think this outweighs the earlier interactions, but it's enough that I'm not calling luna a slam dunk town. Civilians can have second thoughts and I don't hold that against her, I just need to keep an open mind here.

Her change of heart came late, here and here. I don't think this looks like an unnatural progression, but it's possible luna is just a stellar actress. I find it more likely she just went through all the stages of civilian paranoia that come with a high pressure lynch scenario.

Gman says he is vanilla on the chart but we dont actuall have that confirmed. If he were bad it would be a great way to make civs look bad by saying he was good when he wasn't.

G-man goes 2/3 calling out the scum team. Sabie shrugs at DDL and kyle, but gives a reason to suspect SVS. She responds to each of the two confirmed scum in this trio different, which could be significant, or it could mean nothing. I tend to think that baddies try not to call specific attention to their partners, so by keeping them separate here Sabie is playing it safe. She also frames the SVS suspicion pretty light ("The one thing...") as if it's not to be taken too seriously. The players she calls the most attention to here are luna and G-man.

It's not impossible for SVS to fake offense. This could be teammate distancing. It wasn't a prolonged issue like the back-and-forth between luna and SVS I highlighted in my other post. I can see this particular interaction as town vs. scum, but I do not need to see it that way and I feel there's more evidence against sabie than for her overall at this point.

I know some people who stopped making any reaction post at all becasue they got into issues just like this, and I was gonna say, if you think I am bad, find a real reason to vote for me ha ha. I know semantics arguments have become in again, but I always found them overrated.

Sabie was the main voice arguing for Luna over SVS today. This is the post where she finally hops on the SVS wagon, and there's a bit of resignation in her language (... if that's the only option), but I could be reading too much into that.
I'm not a big fan of the NO U on luna here, most of all. If Sabie is bad, luna's her best bet for a mislynch, either today or tomorrow.

I had some growing skepticism of the svs wagon because nobody was arguing against it. Felt too easy. And luna kept skeeving me out, so she was my alternative. It ended up being pretty much just symbolic though since I knew nobody was realistically moving off the svs vote, and that worked out in the end. But nobody is cleared for complacence with that lynch.

This was a carbon copy of the DDL lynch.

I don’t think it’s possible that we have more than 1 scum left. Maybe 1 scum and 1 indie, but I’m treating it as if it’s just a lone baddie.

And tomorrow should be 3 on 1, I think, which means we could no lynch to force an extra day. I don’t know if that would be totally necessary, but it’s an option.

I did a quick scan of SVS's interactions with all of you guys. She spent a lot of energy early on pushing the idea of Enrique and Luna being connected somehow and, as I highlighted in my earlier analysis of Luna's posts, the two of them seemed to be at odds over a few things in the early stages of the game. I sense real tension coming from SVS in these interactions, and I don't think it indicates a partnership. I'm open to other interpretations, but I think Luna looks good in relation to SVS.

I was surprised by how little SVS interacted with nutella, given that they've both been fairly consistent participants in the game (at least, prior to the most recent phase when SVS kinda dropped off). nutella is mentioned as a secondary figure in a few of SVS's conversations in earlier stages, and when she (SVS) does start to talk directly about nutella, she waffles a bit (here and here). I could see it as an effort to try to initiate suspicion against a vocal civilian using a light touch, or as baddie partners trying put some distance between themselves without implicating one another. I read nutella as town overall, but she's fooled me very recently so I'm not totally comfortable committing to that read.

She barely interacts with sabie at all. The one episode they have together is this one, which I highlighted earlier. I can read it as partners who realized they hadn't said a word to each other and felt pressure to concoct some phony issue to put some distance between themselves. Sabie remains my top suspect.

There is similarly not much with speedchuck (like, nothing at all), but he was instrumental in each of the previous two lynches and I'm probably more comfortable sticking a town read on him than anyone at this point.

Sabie remains my top suspect by a comfortable margin, followed by nutella. Luna and speedchuck are closer to being trusted.

how does sabie look worse than nutella? She at least was on board with lynching SVS, when nutella did her weird waffle switch to me at the end.

Sabie was only reluctantly on board with the SVS lynch after spending a big part of the day trying to lynch you (a campaign which she still has not dropped), and when it was inevitable that she would be lynched. Nutella jumped off the ship for the exact same reason I abandoned the DDL vote a day earlier, at a time when there was absolutely no reason for scum to rock the boat unless they were going for mega WIFOM points. I don’t think these nutella waffles are a bad thing.

I should also add that I’m not thrilled by sabie’s response to the suspicion against her these last few days. She has repeatedly brushed it all off as “weak” without really addressing the actual points against her. Most recently, she has rejected my point about her SVS interactions as weak because she only had the one small interaction with her. the reason I find her suspicious is not the interaction itself, but the fact that it’s the only time they really acknowledged each other at all in the game. Just like SVS and DDL never really talked to each other, sabie and SVS were noticeably light on one another. I sense a bit of resignation in sabie’s self-defense.

I think it’s worth talking about.

My answer was going to be “yes”, and my reasoning was going to be basically what she just laid out in her post above. If sabie is bad, she sees the writing on the wall. She needs to shake it up. An easy way to do that would be to kill off the person she’s been pushing suspicion against and see if she can shift some blame onto somebody else.

That’s exactly what she’s going for, in her own words.

[mention]speedchuck[/mention] my nutella suspicion consists of mostly tinfoil. For her to be bad, she and DDL need to have played a long term hard distancing strategy, which I’m not sure woule have happened in this particular game. If she’s bad, the only reason she would have backed off of SVS yesterday would be for the sake of WIFOM. She did have a few small moments with SVS that gave me pause. I’ll dig them up when I’m on my laptop.

My gut and everything else tells me to go with sabie. I think this game was dead for the first 4 days and scum were just coasting by as we all lynched each other helplessly. I don’t think they felt the need to do anything extraordinary. Them we caught one, then another, and now there’s one exposed baddie left.

Or I’m wring and you or nutella has done something fancy while we were all asleep.

My problem is that both of you have fooled me hard in the past

Agreed. Occam's razor and all that. I think this game really is that simple especially because as you said they'd been coasting for a while.

I can't help but tinfoil, though. We've had two days of easy lynches. Maybe that's just because Sabie's been busy and couldn't help her teammates, and they condemned themselves with their own interactions...

No stone left unturned, I guess would be my motto going into today. This comeback has been legendary and dropping the ball now without working through all our options would be awful.

I don't think it is true that I have been "hardcore pushing" against you. I ISO'd everybody in the game and made a deliberate effort to give everybody equal attention. The end result was a suspicion of you.

You've repeatedly said that it would make no sense for you to kill off luna, but in saying that you are providing a clear motivation why a baddie sabie would kill luna. Also, I don't see much reason for any of the rest of us to kill luna either. I think she was a more viable lynch option than any of us coming into today (generally speaking. I was close to being comfortable town reading her, but there had been more consistent suspicion against her than any of myself, nutella, or speedchuck). I am having trouble grasping the theory that I killed luna to somehow frame you. How does that frame you if another part of your argument is that killing luna is not something you would do?

You've suggested that I killed Luna to make you look bad. In what way would me killing luna make you look bad?
If we assume that I am town and you are town, then one of speedchuck or nutella must be bad. Which one is it and why?
What would you say is the best reason to town read each of the three of us?

I sincerely hope to hear your answers to these questions. If you're a civilian, then the only chance we have of turning this thing around is if we work together to figure out where we should go.

I've argued that nutella's switch off of SVS is a good look. She had no reason to do that if she's bad, and the likelihood that anybody else was going to be lynched yesterday was slim at best. The only reason scum nutella does that is so that people can make the argument that I'm making right now, but that's superfluous. Once again, there's no reason for her to need to do that. She was sitting cozy all day long.

But it was actually your series of questions for each of us that got me thinking. If your bad, your path to victory is very easy. All you need to do is keep up the appearance of a townie for ~24 hours. The easiest way to do that is to ask everyone questions and appear engaged.

Wagon consolidation can suck an egg when I suspect scum manipulation at MYLO. DDL received votes from just about everybody with zero resistance and I panicked. I was convinced he was the easy mislynch scapegoat.

When I moved to luna, as I’ve said, it was more for the sake of generating discussion on somebody else rather than a specific target (luna). But the votes that followed stuck there and at the end of the day I thought she was our best bet to avoid the obvious DDL mislynch.
