I had to do some searching. I think the only one I could see in the HoF was Death Note. Which was a pretty epic game. It was me, Marmot, Mata and Boo with BTSC. I reread the lowposters earlier today, and I came away thinking that neverwhere seemed ok too. I did not get the best feeling from Niju. I also tend to suspect Rey is bad every time he doesn’t show up. That’s an old school bias that I haven’t been able to shake, but I also would hate to lynch someone who is a no show. He’s not exactly doing any harm so I’m not sure whether he’s worth thinking about.

Daisy do you remember who postulated that?

I don’t. I’ll have to go back and look. I am not sure when your role showed up either... so it makes it a tough line of inquiry to follow here. But I’ll see if I can’t find the earliest mentions of it.

Any thoughts on what you think the role alignment is for that? If we don’t have anyone saying they were targeted by it, we can probably narrow it down to a low poster or inactive so I think it’s worthwhile to discuss if we think it sounds like a mafia role.

Jay, I’m not sure I buythat this is a civ move on DDL’s part. But I don’t see why he would claim it so willingly as a baddie either.

Someone said mafia hate randomness, I don’t recall who it was, but I completely disagree with that idea. Methodical discussion and eliminating people as suspects is what gets civs the win, so random is the opposite of good for civs generally speaking.

I will say it is a risk as a baddie to make a smaller pool unless you are certain that your team won’t be in it.

He said it was the lowest four posters at the time he used the power. Did Luna have less posts than kites though?

So Mata, the host usually resolves a tie by flipping a coin or having a role in the game that decides who gets lynched if there is a tie. I'm still puzzled as to how that helps you. Was there something that I missed in this game that said ties are resolved differently that would help you clear up another suspect? I'm sorry I'm so dense.

I assume she means that if there is a tie and one of these people in the tie are bad with someone not int he tie, their vote could be telling.

fair points on everyone. i think based on my understanding of daisy's personality, i can gleam how far she would go into inserting anger into a mafia game. what i saw was genuine anger and displeasure that i feel would be near impossible to replicate if she was just messing about with a teammate. i also can't see her bussing mac. his role was a powerful one. she's the one that set mac ahead of nutella; something she didn't have to do to stay consistent in her game play. the bussing, if it occurred, would have happened after mac was in the lead imo.

this is just my take on things. it's called tinfoil because it can be disputed, but i felt like expanding on why daisy is town in my eyes.
I made a post, I think, about DDL, or I may have canceled it. Sometimes, if two or three people just posted about something, all in agreement, and I’m working on a post saying the same thing, I’ll cancel my post. But I’ll look back. Wait, yes, I did. I was commenting on not liking the lynch being directed, but at the same time, I wanted to see a tie. I thought it was funny that I was wishing for a directed lynch (tie), but not liking DDLs directed lynch. I thought it might be another attempt at stalling a lynch to save the remaining mafia. I’ll still look to see if I made any other posts about DDL before adding him to my POE.

I still think Daisy is town, I was just trying to be realistic about her abilities as a wolf. The last time we were mafia together, Death Note, I think, she amazed me. I give her credit for being able to pull off anything.

i don't think that's what he's saying, and i don't think we have more even more investigative roles. we have an alignment cop in LC and a role cop in nutella. how many cops does an epi game fit?

i did the tallying manually, and if that's right then technically when you voted in the poll you brought the votes 5 for mac x 4 for nutella - and daisy would have been the 6th for mac.

I was definitely the actual vote that put him over, I remember thinking if I was wrong to trust Jay then I would be the one on the hook for it.

I think Matahari looks quite genuine in her suspicion of dunya.

Kites's big vote tracker thing is a good shiny object, but not something that moves me (and he granted that much himself to his credit). I do still think he looks generally authentic though.

I agree with both of these reads. I have always felt like everything Mata posts is very civ minded, but not in a look how civ I am kind of way which a mafia will want that credit. She keeps her cards close to the vest and only plays them when she thinks it’s prudent, again not the look of someone who is searching for civ cred or looking to fabricate reads.

Kites, I like everything he says. I feel good about him but I don’t have a solid reason to town read him so I’m not inclined to emote him from any PoE.

I don’t know that for sure. It’s a thought, but I wouldn’t pin all my hopes on it. That kind of thinking can lead to easy mislynches.
