I like the tone of this post. nutella doesn't like the direction things are heading, and it is starting to feel like the nutella/radish thing can become a bit of a black hole in the thread, so she steps back and tries to cool things off before they reach that point. I just keep seeing town nutella everywhere.

Problem with that is the timing. Maybe it was to keep the thread from sliding into the black hole, but maybe it was to keep it from crystalizing into "yeah, Radish probs town, Nutella probs not"...because that did seem to be the rising consensus among the people active in the thread at the time. Now, that needs to be buffered by (IMO) Radishes just being a more effective domer than Nutella so getting out of the dome is the smart play for Nutella in any case.

This is not a productive discussion. You have called me scum off an on for most of the game and have almost always linked nutella in. I assumed that is because we have been firmly town reading each other. If there is more to it, I am unclear on why. I am trying to find that out.

For me it seems like your town read on Nutella is more structured around pocketing her than actual read. It's like when the sus on her gets strong you throw her a lifeline by just completely shifting the conversation, but at other times when there is a little exchange between her and someone else you are kinda keeping it going by encouraging her bad takes (bad takes in this case meaning takes she is expressing poorly or that otherwise are making her look bad). I think you are getting her in too much trouble to be partners, but you really could be a pockety wolf here.

For my part, I'm not Mac and I'm not "calling you scum"...but in my observations you certainly could be.

I almost forgot LC was even here. I don't know what that means for him. I have seen him play with a tremendous rage of strategies as scum before. That includes being intentionally lowkey for long stretches of the early game when his teammates (me and spf in Grasslands, specifically) were more vocal. But I've also seen him win scum games by being highly engaged and manipulating things to his liking. He's barely been here so far. If he's bad, that could be an indication that he has teammates who are highly active. I have no direct reason to say that he is bad, though. I've not looked at him at all.
I doubt you will find a single game where I'm highly engaged and manipulating anything on Day 1, in either alignment.

Indie claims are a grey area - I'm not smart enough to know the best course of action with them. I trust the claim at this point because I have no reason not to believe it. Of course, in the same game I mentioned earlier, one of our teammates also claimed indie D1 as well lol

I am unclear on how malicious this role is, and I fully believe that Alison would not tell us anyway. If anything, I suspect she is more likely to have concealed some of the dangers of her role from us as opposed to telling the full truth.

As I've said earlier, I think there is zero chance that Alison makes that claim if she's actually mafia. It severely limits her available strategies, and she's not a player who I expect to do that to herself unprompted. Case in point: she only has 9 posts so far. But that doesn't mean I am willing to trust her implicitly. I have not given her role or slot much thought today, as I've been more focused on solving other things. But I do not fully disagree with the idea of removing her early. For one, it eliminates the distraction early, as you've alluded to. But I would mostly view her today as a last resort option in the event that we can arrive at absolutely no other satisfying chop.

Complete endorsement with the caveat that I am maybe more open to the idea it is a wolf claim. Purely because if it is real 3P as presented I see no avenue for 3P!Alison to win this way. If she starts handing out investigative roles at the direction of the town the wolves have to NK her pretty quickly, and certainly before she can meet the claimed win con. So I have a hard time seeing it as a real 3P claim. Something is afoot there, and I would like to see it resolved sooner rather than later.

Yeah like that doesn't surprise me. It was probably an MU game and the mafia were probably mostly memesters that prefer playing mashes and turbos. This is the GoC.

It was actually on CFC, which is a generally pretty wolf friendly crowd. Pizza was just a wrecking ball.

It did help that one wolf team NKed the other team's deepest wolf though.

Naw. Although that was a possibility that crossed my mind, but not realistically. It was mostly just a reaction test. I figured the truth would come out sooner than later, so I figured a simple lie was a no risk, potential reward play.

I was recently scum in a game on Mafia Cafe and I fell behind in the the thread, and when I came back a bunch of people had roleclaimed. I realized after the fact that I never bothered to check for the claims myself and just believed everything I was told. It made me feel vulnerable, and like I could have inadvertently slipped up and revealed something town didn’t actually know. So I was kinda just floating some false information for the hell of it.

It's posted in the #claims channel in wolf chat anyway.

It could just be that having some votes on you has made you more sensitive, but you seem to be upping the shade content. Like your response to me staggering into the thread, which was pretty much the same stagger I've come in with four or five times before, was a "hmmm..." response that might as well have had the sus eyes emoji plastered on it. Dizzy is the same Dizzy they've been all game, but now you remark they are "openwolfing"...it is very much like having a few votes on you has ramped you up and now we all look shadier to you.

IMO this is towny, because if you were a wolf you'd know who is town, or at least not on your team, so random peeps in every direction would still look pretty much the same to you as they did before.

I'm intrigued that in the ebb and flow of wagons 112's is starting to stand out in terms of its staying power. Almost feels like there's something going on behind the scenes to keep it together...

Nah...Radish isn't the source. Sure, he put down the opener, but that's not likely a wolf move this early. Wolves join wagons day one, they don't start 'em. They also push them without getting on.

I gave a reason why I was staying off 112, and you backed it...and no one noticed. Wolves like to push quietly, but they let things like that pass hoping no one will notice.

I'm gonna take a stand here.

112 is a wolf push. Might be the other wolves rather than town if this is multi-ball, but at least one wolf team has seized on Radish's read and wants 112 dead.

I will anyway bc I still think it points at radish w. Idk if he even started the wagon or if there were already votes on her when he posted his case. But he is a counterwagon that's being overshadowed, and one I think is more likely a hit and has better reasoning behind (obviously I am biased but...yeah. only marmot so far has really acknowledged my actual reasoning on radish)
