Even if I don't die, I want to say that this forum should evaluate its culture, especially when it comes to newcomers playing the game/new users joining. You can think I'm a bad player or that I'm just being too sensitive, but I've been playing Mafia on-and-off for 13 years and I've never experienced anything like what I've seen happen to users at various points in this thread, so I know it's not me. And I've spent like maybe an hour rewriting this post and debating whether to say something, so this is not just an emotional reaction when pressured or faced with getting removed.

I wrote this post during ME mafia (my first game here) cause I was frustrated town. I didn't my second game cause I was mafia and felt more scared than angry, even if Epi was targeting me directly there.

This is the kind of post where I'd typically not read too much into it because it can read as a reaction either way, but this gives me a strong gut town read.

And it's also true, it can get fiery here way more often than it gets on my home forum at least. It's not as bad as when I played that hydra game on mafia universe and some people would probably kill each other if they could (and they were in the same hydra) and I understand sometimes a more aggressive style can be used well, but it doesn't always have to be cranked up to 11.

I also don't really think this thing where you take control of the entire lynch is a good idea. Regardless of whether you have good ideas about who should be lynched, and regardless of whether you're even telling the truth about having a lynch switch at all, claiming that you do risks stifles discussion. If people believe their votes don't matter then they'll spend less time talking about who they're going to vote for and who they suspect. I don't see what the positive is supposed to be.

This is accurate. Discussion today has been halted by Epi going after Dunya and JJJ. There isn't much room of discussion outside of that unless someone wants to try to convince Epi that he's wrong.
But Epi could be making all of this up.
If everything Epi has said is a lie, then as it stands Nutella would get lynched. I don't like that outcome but I don't have a better one. I'll make the inevitable late day 1 argument: anyone wanna lynch rabbit? Seems pretty quiet.

which was weird

At the same time he had (and still has) the third highest post count but he hadn't posted much of substance. Which I'm typically fine with but while JJJ was making the high posters = town argument it seemed like an easy way for cred. So last night I had him on my 3 most likely mafia list.

When I woke up this morning there was that whole "does the day end tomorrow thing" which after several discussions about using naivety seemed a little off. Since I'm unfamiliar with meta, I put a vote there and tried to get others to make a read there. It didn't happen which means two things: 1. no one really had a read, and 2. mafia had better things to do. I kept the vote to see if the trend would continue.

After I voted for him he shifted pretty seamlessly into a "doing things" Kyle, so I guess something happened. In the last few hours he's made a few solid posts that I'd typically call town.

I read Dr White and Iron Dwarf. Pretty null read on White, slight Maf lean on Dwarf. I’m always leery of early game lunches because of how easy they can be to manipulate but I haven’t seen those tendencies yet against either of them unless JJJ and Dunya are both mafia.

This is TSP's first (and only) post where he reads me. He says he suspects DDL over me. He's also given previous scumreads on a few other players.

Overall day 1 he notably pressured RDW, Colin, and Quin in this way, but RDW was saying crazy things and deserved it. Colin and Quin both were pushed as feasible Day 1 lynches but Cbob ended up on Rabbit even though his arguments against the two carried on and almost led to lynch.

I straight up don't understand this question any time anybody's asked it. Because the things you do in the day phase affect how the mafia perceives you and if you get nightkilled on day 1, you don't live to day 2, and you can't contribute useful information/win the game? Is there a difference in fundamental game mechanics between this site and everywhere else in the universe Mafia is played that I'm not getting?
Because he still has ~24 hours to talk about why he asked his question and what he felt like he learned. He doesn't want to do so before everybody has responded because that skews what responses he gets.

Both of the CBob posts here are kind of outrageous. The first one comes out of nowhere and is not as far as I can tell directly related to anything in the thread. It rehashes an old argument from hours ago that got some swing the first time.
Where Colin's response is directly an answer to the question posed by CBob, CBob's counter response is not about that response at all. It goes back to the "Colin not answering Epi" thing, another argument already dissected in thread.
CBob switches off his vote half an hour later.

One thing I’ve talked about before but I don’t think in this game is the amount of town credit given for dropping bad arguments vs credit that should be given. JJJ has done this kind of thing several times this game and it makes me tinfoily.
