Listen if I get lynched I get it. My read of Mac is basically indefensible. But I'm not going down like a sprityo, I'll go kicking and screaming and fighting for my town

I'm guessing sig was in charge of the divisions, since he put himself in the tiny dream level with no chance of getting the most votes.speedchuck wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 4:50 pm If only one thread was going to get a lynch there's no reason to assume there would be a scum in each level, right?
I think it's still possibly the case, though.

This is exactly why I don't use this kind of detective technique. We can spin almost any occurence into a wolfy one with the right summary, so I rely on gut and nuance to make reads, despite being wrong more often than I was right this game. Everything can be wolfy with inference

I was wrong but my read looks and feels authentic, you even said so yourself earlier. It wasn't until Mac actually flipped that you've now started calling my reads "disingenuous" and considering my contributions to be "nothing". I will pull your quotes if I have to. I can see now that you were being opportunistic at the time when you called my read of him authentic, and you are being opportunistic again after his flip, calling my reads "disingenuous" and "nothing".JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 10:12 pm Turnip Head on MacDougall:

Yellow: TH isn't merely defending Mac, they're telling us what Mac's instincts are. How should they know? That looks bogus to me.
Orange: TH's read on Mac is standout; the language they used and confidence they expressed were one of a kind in his posts. And there's close to nothing to justify that confidence. What follows is as much as there was:
Burnt orange: The read is heavily predicated upon Mac's flip of his nutella read. First of all, the entire premise that this is something mafia don't do is just balogna. Of course they do that. They do it all the time. Second, assigning that assessment to MacDougall of all people is additionally hard to believe. Mac is capable of just about anything, and one needn't play many games with him to determine that. Third, even if one accepts the premise that this was a "good look", it makes no sense to me for the look to be so good that Mac is rendered beyond reproach.
The read looks fake to me.

Contrast that with Jay's new clarification of his views - that my read of Jack (which was RELATED to our differing reads of Mac) looks genuine, and that my other reads look genuine, but now he's saying my Mac read specifically sounds fake to him.
Why does Jay see the authenticity of my reads - as a bundle, per the first spoiler - but after Mac's flip, try pushing the angle that my read of Mac, and only my read of Mac, looks fake?
Jimmy is working an angle

He's just been the lightest contributor and would be the most likely to simply no-show).

Thanks for taking the time to read me, @juliets. I will try to do a better job of putting my thoughts into words in the future. I often find I'm misinterpreted and so it's better to hold back than to be misinterpreted and then run around in cirjuliets[/mjuliets[/m]julietsing to express myself, which is how I used to play. I do after all want to be a successful player, and am always looking to improve ![mole rat :kadaj:](./images/smilies/danhm.png)
