I promise to answer you tomorrow or maybe even tonight.
this is genuine here at that point of time, I really believe he overlooked Kyle because of that. However, for my records (I like to keep where my head is at on paper), when I called Jack doing the same thing (ie. overlooking my posts), he was constantly online itt and at times even posting to others. He did later use "I was at work" as a defense, but it didn't rub me the right way.

WHo the hell feels guilty about being mafia anyway?
I do. I don't like killing my friends. Choosing who to take out of a game feels bad.

Re: Mountain Mafia [DAY 4]

I was pinged by Jay's lack of focus tbh and the fact he didn't direct a single suspicion towards me. That's very unlike him. He usually kills my game when I'm townie, and frustrates me till I start dreaming of rage quitting. :P When I named him as a suspect, I hoped it would trigger a different kind of response where I could be sure of his towniness, as I have been in past games. How will Jay respond? That is a huge tell all in itself.

I feel a bit mean though, because I know what he's going through IRL. He barely has time to talk to me, even. It's close to end of semester and we have exams and assignments due.

I believe he replaced into this game same reason I did (a sort of sense of obligation, let's say), and while I pretty much screwed off my exam studying time to get up to date with the thread the last 2 days, I think Jay values his education before mafia (smart guy. smarter than me, probably. definitely).

I was never going to go through with lynching him without giving him time to clear himself or sufficiently fend off accusations thrown his way. The fact he has so much suspicion on him and didn't bother going through them all does not strike me as "giving up" as Sloonei put it (and I'm surprised he could think Jay would give up). On the contrary, it had an opposite effect on me and I've played plenty with Jay (and scum Jay) to know that like me, he'd defend himself till the last dying breath. It's basically like this grad student has exams man. Let's cut him some slack for not spending 5 hours playing online mafia.

no lynch Jay today. I urge you all to reconsider and look elsewhere.

So...can someone kind of recap for me a little of what's goibg on. I know the lynch was pretty quickly switched to mesk. I know I had my doubts about her civvieness, but who ever actually listens to me? Did Jay stir up suspicion on her and eventually get her lynched? Is this why several of you are voting for him?
everyone is going to laugh and make fun of me again, and I don't care. I think language is important. If we get a sense of guiltiness from a player, there's something to be read. Likewise, when Eloh says "she's really not trying to cheat here", it strikes me as someone who felt guilty I took her heartfelt sickness/lurking post to mean townie, and I may have kind of manipulated her into thinking I believed "she's not an evil woman, she won't lie about using sickness as an excuse to get off the hook for lurking / sidelining". The result? She feels bad about being "under the radar" and possibly being a town read due to inactivity -- "cheating"

I've had neutral leaning bad, then bad, then neutral leaning bad feelings about her all game. The only reason my suspicions are not sticking is because everyone is defending her meta, saying she looks town. I haven't played with her before so I can't claim I know what her scum/town distinctions are, but I know I've been leaning bad all game.

What? Less authentic and clear? Comparing clarity in a game where I was only using emojis (and keeping up mind you)?

What is a strong stance to you? Apparently not calling Jack bad for his play day one, nor agreeing that Jaybis a good lynch. Those are just weak stances.

Dunya, it feels like your trying to case me with "Wilgy is bad because of XYZ", when you can just say "I'm tone reading Wilgy as bad." Because of this I do feel that its disgenuine.
I'll tell you what a strong townie stance is: it's having strong suspicions. Just clearing people off is more a scum stance-tactic. Does that make sense to you?

You were only using emojis, but those emojis actually reflected better on you. You were calling people good/bad with them. That's townie as hell.

This "not calling Jack bad for his play day one" and "not agreeing on a Jay lynch" is not necessarily townie as hell.

Dragon D. Luffy wrote: Sat Dec 02, 2017 10:44 am There was an attempt to save Jay last night. There are baddies among those. And there was a movement to bring the Jay lynch back to life that came near EoD. Those in it are civs. Once I'm back to town I'll try to piece it together. But if someone can do it for me I'll love you forever.
I'm pretty sure some heavy bussing occurred last night as well, considering Jay's burn-out state and grad student end of semester schedule, so don't take your focus completely away from people who were pro-Jay lynch either.

I voted for Wilgy because I liked chuck's respinse. I still think Jay coukd have been putting distance between himself and teammate wilgy.
I voted for Jay because he was bad. Jack is tinfoiling hard against me.
Bullshit.

You were waffley. "I don't know what's going on."

Wilgy is not w/w with all the other baddies. Why would they push Wilgy early and stay there if he was their teammate? Why not just bus Jimmy?

I'd be more likely to believe you had a nervous tick that caused you to place bad votes than this.
Okay, go ahead. I don't feel like defending myself over this. I started the day 3 push against Jay but bailed to Mesk because I felt bad about it on a personal level. I was on Jay for the entire day yesterday except for a 2 hour stretch where my confidence wavered a little bit and I wanted to check the pulse of the thread. Then I went back to Jay because he was my clear cut top suspect. If you want to actually read my posts I think you can trace how my thoughts developed over time. I doubt myself a lot. I can't help it. I'm not going to apologize for that.
I believe you about Jay, Sloonei. Empathy united.

Who would you want to vote for if you could right now? Because this page is just you taking Jay's most likely teammates and throwing them in the trash.
That's because the line of thinking is backwards here. I can't stress this enough: Jay would have preferred to be bussed rather than saved yesterday.
I don't think DDL and Jack have as much experience with scum Jay. How many times has completed a scum game on here? (I don't count the SF game since he got replaced Day 1)

Re: Mountain Mafia [NIGHT 4]

I don't care what you'll all say about that "mislynch" episode, but the fact is: Epi's post was all about lynching him (sure, mislynch was implied, but even EPI who is sure of his own towniness didn't use that word....), LC responded by using "lynch" too, because LC believes Epi would be a lynching not a mislynch. If Jack really believed Epi was scum, then lynching him wouldn't be a mislynch. I don't get why no one is triggered by this (well, speedchuck nmentioned it was "odd" so maybe he's Jack's scummate, creating a bit of distance from him there for later application--I'm talking out of my ass here because I havent gone through Jack/chuck's case together, indeed I don't remember a lot of confrontation).

I mean, Jack's eased his way back into a lot of people's good books, but IMO he's still scum. It's just not something someone would say in a sentence when talking about scumspect. If he's townie-minded and sees Epi as scum, he would have used lynch.

I can't shake that off no matter how much I try and even if everyone else thinks it's weak, Jack has a lot of other question marks around him. I'll try to look into them before end of night.

Also, another look at Wilgy because after what happened last night with Jay, I'm not so sure what he would do to get me to back off Wilgy if Wilgy was indeed his scum mate.

And cbob seems town imo.

Quin seems town.

I need to review why everyone, including Jay, thought nutella was 100% cleared eod 1. I didn't make as much sense of it as everyone else, but kinda went with it cos that's what everyone was doing. If she was Jay's scummate, she bussed him hard.

also as of today I am applying a strict no empathy rule for this game because my gut is right and people playing with emotions on a RL basis are mean (Jay didn't do this but since we so actively communicate outside games, it was a free giveaway).

Re: Mountain Mafia [NIGHT 4]

I don't think Kyle is scum anymore (omg here I go with my warped reads). We had a heated moment and bad things were exchanged. Kyle doesn't react that poorly over suspicion directed towards him when he's scum (I've played with scum Kyle before and called him out).

Re: Mountain Mafia [NIGHT 4]

It is a weak reason to dismiss Kyle, but I believe him because he's a good person and it was a sincere apology and he's made a good effort to be as helpful and open as possible. It's reserved people I don't like.

I mean, where has Long Con disappeared to for example? After a heated Day 1 and 2, he's been much more quiet the last 2 day phases. I don't like that.
