This will lose you games Speedchuck. I was there the game you lynched Rico and I stand by the premise that was purely luck. Rico will do odd patterns regardless of alignment. Puzzle solving through the obstacles is probably a better skill to implement.

It wasn't. It was an early lynch that needed to happen, because rico wasn't getting any easier to read. He was also using the mechanic to hide more than normal, hardly saying anything with his posts, and people were letting him by on "he's Rico." I could tell.

So if you changed your vote it would change where your vote was in the order. but with the upgrade to the new site we have not been able to find a mod with that. LC is usually a persistent pain in the butts of players, making sure discussion keeps driving and putting himself out there. I've NEVER (to my recollection) seen him go silent or fade into the background, and be content there. Add in that his 'big contribution' was an easy controversial statement at the start of D1, and yes, I'm suspish. Not super suspish, but in GTH, neutral isn't an option.

Nope. But a lot of the new arguments were devolving into that. Half of MP's votes seemed to be because he was trying to be self-preserving in an active, find-someone-else scummy way. Which isn't indicative of alignement.
Quin was pushed at for not making a lot of conclusions or statements, and for being concerned about appearances. Not the greatest, but hey, it's D1. I began getting different gut feels for Quin near dayend. Just felt wrong to lynch him.

For the record, I voted Dunya -> Quin -> Wilgy I think. I forget when.

That isn't my point. The point is that you were discussing whether you were feeling bad or not about Wilgy's flip even though he hadn't flipped yet.

Granted a lot of people did that and some of them are probably civ. But yours called the most of my attention, specially since you voted for him.

Let's put it this way, taking MP as an example. Let's say I was 30% on Wilgy being scum, and 40% on MP. Who should I have voted for?

Because town loses a lot more with a town MP lynch than a town wilgy lynch. Because Wilgy was acting in a way that I practically policy-lynch over. Because Wilgy isn't going to get easier to read as days go on, as MP will, and I might as well get him out of the way early.

I think Wilgy caught on to that he wasn't technically my biggest scumread at the time, and was aggravated that I voted him. So I (didn't) apologize. Granted, I was hyped up on self-righteous irritation, but that's where I was.

If you'll recall, not only had wilgy not flipped, but I didn't know at that point who had even been lynched.

So I wouldn't say that I was feeling good or bad about Wilgy's flip, per se. I was discussing how I felt about his possible lynch, and my decision to vote him. And I felt pretty good about it.

Unlike with poppy or your weird othersite smileys, Rico, I got nothing whatsoever from your phonographs. So I scumread you because you were literally making it 100% impossible to read you, which is an interesting scum strategy. It was clearly different, in my mind, from your other gimmicks.

See, this wasn't really a CFD. CFD's mean that there is a lynch target, and you move to someone else really quickly at the end. From 1 to 2, in other words. This was more of a clusterf**k. Nobody had more than 4 votes at any time. Not even past 1/3 majority. There were two lynch wagons, each with 3 votes when I voted Wilgy (I think). With a single vote, I made Wilgy viable.

That's not really a CFD. That's voting a currently unpopular lynch option.

That may not satisfy you, but really. You can't CFD a lynch that is already tied. Just screw it up some more.

If we have a doctor, then we're dealing with a vanilla mafia team. I think that's the only valuable comment I can make about role stuff. Watchers and Trackers don't have to doubt their results.

My brother's visiting, my cousin's just come to stay for a week, and a friend from Atlanta took us to a planetarium for the night.
So I missed all of this till just now.

If Quin is also scum, I'd celebrate this as the most unlikely amazing D1 ever that my CFD totally screwed up. MP's flip puts a lot of people in light. I'll be doing some vote analysis the next time I get in the thread. In the meantime, tag me in any questions that I should give priority. The next 3 days are going to be really busy.

On surface level, DDL, Quin, and Dunya don't look great on the lynch poll. If I have everything correct.

I might would put sig and DDL anti-aligned considering that.

I dunno. MP was such a suspect going into D2 that nobody looked good on the lynch poll. Hard to do vote analysis when there is no indecision around it. Could be that MP's death was the result of an enthyusiastic bus from LC, Spacedaisy... In my experience, it's around vote 4 that the scum start hopping on, but this might be the exception.

DDL is one of my townreads. I read him town. There is some discriminating evidence that points to him being scum, but my townread on him is moderately strong.

I have too stronk a townread on DDL to lynch him. Leaves Spacedaisy and Sig in the dead zone (of the two, I feel better about Sig, but only slightly).

BTW, if Kylemii is scum, Spacedaisy is probably the third. Kyle threw out a "spacedaisy wouldn't bus" at the start of the day, and has ignored her ever since.

Look, I've been in situations like this before, speedchuck. There's enough circumstantial evidence against me enough cloudiness in the water otherwise that if I don't get lynched now then we're likely to lynch a good pirate and that leads to the whole "day 5 guess we we're wrong, let's try lynching Kyle again" thing, and by that point the game is already lost.

For some reason, townies are expected not to worry about getting lynched as much, and not to fight it too hard. After all, a townie getting lynched isn't as detrimental to town as a scummie getting lynched is to scum. So it's town behavior to work for the greater good and try your best to set things up for after your death.

If you're town, you KNOW that you're town. You KNOW that any other lynch (from your perspective) is more likely to hit scum than where it currently rests. Were I in your position, I'd be fighting to survive not just one more day, but long enough to ram a win home.

But that's just a rant of mine. It's a philosophy, and not indicative of scum or town.

So I'm trying to give you an opportunity to do that, to make a difference today. But hey, if you want to lay down and die, whether out of a misplaced sense of duty or as a way to seem towny, make us feel guilty, and not give away your teammates then ok. Your choice.

I won't argue the point anymore, but I'd disagree that number 1 must result in your death tomorrow. Vote analysis isn't everything, thus my abstinence from a DDL wagon. I judge people on reads, action, and gut as well.
