Based off the info we have is why I'm thinking mafia/3rd party. But, if someone with more lore knowledge wants to weight in that would be great.

these 6 names avoided getting into scraps yesterday. they were laying low, they were just playing it cool. i think that people who's hands are clean during the day get bloody during the night. when the town is devouring itself it makes sense for you to chill out and let it happen

everyone else i can recall getting into some kind of confrontantion, and i also townread all of the people who were part of said confrontations, so that's how im pieceing the two ends together

i do think that in a setup with town IC, if town also had protectives, scum would have some way to kill the IC thru the protectives. poison/daykill/strongman kill/anti claim something something. i would be surprised if they have no anti-protective power, but it is possible
