I searched my own name to fill my ego, and you are the only one who mentioned just me in a post before I started posting. And also thank @Marmot for the signing up appreciating that I am playing. I have not played Mafia in a while, but I do remember enjoying both of you two.

One of my weaknesses is playing a 20+ people game, let alone 33 people, though I only counted 32 players showing up in the Discord server, but it feels like an honour to participate in a yearly champ game. If anyone has good advice how to play day 1 in such big game... i wanna play a good town game finally again, and solve and lynch the scummies.

I agree keeping up with a game this huge is hard at first sometimes. I'm a bit out of practice as well but trying to get back into having another good game for once. I'm pretty sure no one ever would have picked me for a scum team because I haven't had a good game in a long time. Hoping to change that though.

I think once we have a couple outed wolves we would have more info on whether they seem like chosen teammates vs chosen roles. In catching up I see Alexa was involved in two of the more notable interactions. The nutella thing I don't know that someone would have role info day 1 but if they did I guess it's plausible they didn't know if the role was town or mafia. The paopan thing to me sounded like Alexa was legit confused about why paopan said what he did. Paopans post was weird and confusing and he didnt explain why he said it but it seems like maybe he chose players he kinda remembered to see what thr response would be.

In the OP it explains that mafia either chose their team or their roles. Plus there has been a lot of discussion as to which option is the better play. Some people were trying to speculate who they would choose for a team if they could. I think choosing roles sounds more advantageous.

Sorry I've been working on prepping for the socky awards which I hope people are able to tune into!

Thanks everyone who came to the sockys! I missed quite a bit while working on those and I'm still going to be out and about for a bit.
In just my breif catch up I see someone shot kza out of nowhere but hasn't fessed up to it. C4 is trying to figure out who to use their shot on. There was some thing with porscha being given a hard time about saying they need to catch up. And now marmot died which at least that was a mafia hit.

Sure they can. Just weird he chose me to say confident is scum out of all the people in this game when I haven't had a chance to even be here and participate much. I guess I see now why Alexa felt weird about his post about her earlier on the game when he doesnt know her. I think it's easy to go after low posting people and be like oh well she wasn't involved anyway so no loss if we kill her off and she's town. I don't blame him for suspecting me just weird that he is so adamant about me in particular.

I don't know maybe? Like feigning confidence in a read because there's nothing to go off of. I mean my initial response was me being snarky to see where that focus on me was coming from.

So in staring at the thread here's some of my random thoughts. I've seen sloonei start off slow as town before so I feel like maybe give him a chance and if he doesn't improve then probably scummy. Mac gets overly aggressive and defensive when scum and I feel like there was a tinge of that but it's subsided a bit so we'll see. Dizzy was being suspected for the scotty vote and defending marmot but they provided an explanation that was plausible and made sense. Ender is blindly following nutella votes for some reason? Not really helping the case against him. MR is okay I guess I don't know how to feel about them as of yet. Seems like they're trying to figure things out. Bo has pretty much just said vote marmot and that's about it so meh.

For some reason Porscha could be town to me. Porscha did not shy away from the c4 convo, and showed some personality if I may add.

Wilgy is a notorious low poster. He's been mischopped a lot because of it. I don't know how to read him. Last game he played in he didn't even type actual words because he was meme role-playing a character.

I mean I guess I can agree that when wilgy is town and participating he does at least have reads. This game so far he has said he planned to find townies to join and his only read was everyone should vote sig when sig hasn't participated. Also marmot did the joke with wilgys intro thing. I would be interested to hear if wilgy has any other thoughts on the game or just continues to not be involved.

I was wondering about all the guillo votes and I just looked through gullio's iso and he claimed night vig not day vig. Saying he doesn't care about the soup kill. Perhaps a false claim to get someone to counterclaim? He does seem to be trying to figure out other people's roles. Did that kind of with the alexa/nutella situation.

If alexa and guillo are both town. And alexa shoots guillo and guillo dies and confirms alexa town. Then we have one dead town and alexa role outed that could be souped. Then we have 1 to 2 less town. How would that help us? We've already lost townies to vig shots and it's only day 1 so I'm not seeing how that makes sense. If alexa chooses not to shoot guillo that doesn't tell us anything either because I wouldn't trust that if someone said that to me.

I came back to pure chaos and a seanzie wagon that didn't feel good at all.

It's a bit weird like only Belzy, nutella and I publicly expressed our votes on Seanzie. It looks pretty likely Seanzie was a wolf rich wagon.

I'm inclined to believe there must be at least a few wolves on the seanzie wagon. There was no case or suspicions on him and then all of a sudden he got a ton of votes. Were people protecting wilgy or just looking for an easy mischop?

Okay awesome I see we finally got another mafia. I wasn't sure on dizzy but after the ender flip I was thinking he might have been scum. What do we think of the other ender voters? Jpic and falcon? I didn't have a strong read on either of them. I'll have to see if there was interaction with dizzy from them.

Jpic and dizzy had a few interactions and they were townreading each other. Jpic followed dizzys vote on ender saying he trusted them. Could be teammate interactions

I know Dizzy doesn't like bussing teammates, especially early on

This was the one notable thing from falcon about dizzy stating that he doesn't like to bus teammates early on.

I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility. Ender had more votes on him but then people switched. Mafia probably didn't kill ender so they weren't planning on him flipping town today. Like they may have been setting up to mischop. Not all the mafia would want to be seen voting seanzie. Is it likely all 3 are Mafia? No but I wouldn't say it fully town clears either falcon or jpic.

This is not defending dizzy this was me asking if that's typical for him because I was undecided on him at the time. After the ender flip he seemed a lot more scummy to me. I'm not the best at reading dizzy and didn't feel strong about him either way but that helped swing it more in that direction.
