Yeah I probably should've said I don't blame Rondo. I probably wouldn't want to read like 2700something posts either.

Well if this is your first mafia game ever I am sorry for your rand
Because you most likely understand the concept of the game and most likely have played secret hitler or other such games which are the basic concept
You haev also most likely learned how to lie at some point in your life
So unfortunately for you doing nothing is telling of a wolf frozen not a town who doesnt know how to jump in

Seanzie has been under fire literally every day this entire game for reasons that I thought were shit before day 3, and that I think are even more shit now that i believe he’s the doctor.
As the only person I feel I can confirm town with 100% certainty I’m determined to use my vote to keep him alive. Problematic when I’m the counterwagon.
Who's scum? Why are they town?
Gonna backread in the meantime.
But assuming you’re not - from most scummy tier to least
Roxy, Falcon (also the tier where I have you)
Fingersplints, scotty
Lucy, neon
And maybe the most tinfoil of tinfoil, a very outside shot it’s rondo and bea fooled me.
I’m fully excluding Kate, svs, Dennis and Sean.

I wasn't certain that Soneji was town but I was confident enough to try to stop the wagon. If I KNEW Soneji was town for any reason, I wouldn't make such a bold play like that and risk blowing my cover. It's just kinda in my nature to play stealthier like that.
I rarely explain them.
This is the joy of playing with Neon lol
I posted a block of text of me defending why I was so defensive about Soneji and why it's not wolfy behavior for me. You see that as hypnotizing because there's no one to cross reference that with and you just have to trust me?
I can see the frustration in your signature now.

My PoE is down to four. My extended PoE is at seven with Neon, Scotty and Lucy. If there was certainty the three of you are town, there's no way we lose from here. I'd love to be able to feel like I could absolutely clear any of you three.
I do not believe any of SVS, Kate, Rondo (formerly bea), Dennis or Seanzie is bad. From my perspective, I already have an absolute towncore of 6/13. Every additional person matters.
Crazy ideas in mafia are sometimes the truth. But when they're not, having those crazy ideas can be really detrimental to seeing the truth of what is going on.
But this time I'm not lol.

Remember that this was thrown together towards EoD. I also say in another post somewhere at EoD that I wasn't 100% sure but I was more certain than not that Soneji was town and I was willing to stand by that.Neon wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 2:25 amThe reasoning is there but I just don't see how this leads you to alignment certainty.Neon wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 2:02 amYes thanks I'll look at it ^^Dennis wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 1:56 am@Neon I think this is what you wanted?Dennis wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 9:35 pmWhy would Soneji defend Neon with a after she got called out for adding herself in her towncore? One doesn't normally include themselves in readslist as they cannot make a read on their own alignment which is a known factor to them, and either they know they're town or need to fake it. The need for anti-town to fake being town is what subconsciously can cause them to want to project "I AM TOWN" at every opportunity, hence listing themselves in towncores/townreads lists. It is common enough for actual townies, especially from certain site cultures, to list themselves in such things so it's not a hard wolf tell, but it can be a soft tell when alongside other performative town projection examples.
This is just shutting down conversations that were off topic.
This is analysis and I like it.Soneji wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 11:00 am The first group is rightly calling for accountability from the Wilgy voters, while the second has every reason to not want to rock the boat. Dennis is a newbie, what narrative is he going to try and control? Plus several players rushed to proclaim him townie for his EoD. Seanzie just narrowly escaped the noose, of course they'd avoid a thunder dome. SVS does look good from how they explained their vote, and how they wanted a tie.
I don't think a wolf would bring this up, because why explain your strategy to the entire thread?Soneji wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 9:31 am I'm still reading through parts of the thread but I want to bring forth a thought on the set-up that could certainly have an effect on wolves mindset in this game. I didn't see wolves win condition listed anywhere but assuming it's to reach vote parity, or even just killing all town, then so long as all three members are alive then they win as soon as there are only five town members left due to being able to vote silence two townies each night. At that point town can only tie elim votes, so has no path to winning. So more than normal wolves will want to ensure all members make it to endgame, and keeping the Lawyer alive is top priority as even with just one other wolf they lower the number needed for vote parity. Bussing is very unlikely, and hard defenses of packmates very likely.
I dunno, it's just all of their posts in general I agree with but these were a few examples. Maybe in the 3rd one I'm being convinced by them explaining I don't know what I'm doing still but other than that it's just everything. Now please answer my question.

Well now like 4 people have explained it to me but I appreciate it nonetheless. But wouldn't the wolves want to blend in with the crowd naturally? Taking a stand like I did against like half of the game practically puts a spotlight on them. Is TMI like a newbie thing then (generally) and by coincidence is why I'm being accused of it?Scotty wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 2:07 amSure.
Scenario; you are wolf. You know Soneji is town, so you preemptively state in thread that you really feel Soneji is a bad choice for lynch.
That is Too Much Information.
It’s a buzzword that can be thrown around too to describe situations like that, when in reality you could jus be a town expressing your opinion. But to a wolf, it’s not an opinion.

Re: Lawyers, Guns and Money- [DAY 4]
So TMI is like, leaking info other people aren't supposed yo know you have? Because I totally get how people see that. The only argument I have is that Soneji seemed good, Wild Dennis took over and went defensive mode, and that's what came out. Yes I was strong with my defense, I didn't want Soneji gone.

How am I dangerous for wolves then? Also we should replace Wild Dennis with Dangerous Dennis. I love alliteration.

I think what I've learned is that I desperately need to take a chill pill. We're in a good spot, we still have time to catch wolves. Yes? Because now I see why my start feels bad too like Neon said.

Re: Lawyers, Guns and Money- [DAY 4]
I'm still stuck on this. Marmot accounts for one what? Are you trying to say that, it's unfortunate that it was on Soneji but it's ultimately a good thing we had a consensus?Golden wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 1:12 amWe are still at 10/13, and we’ve effectively had the doc give us an entire additional day phase, which is also extending the potential lifespan of cop/deputy checks. Your opening feels like a wolf trying to cover themself with the over hype doc praise followed by more cover for yourself because you immediately push suspicion onto looking only on the top wagon for scum a wagon you were firmly against.
That cover protects you the deep wolf and your team because the chances we hit correct in a 7 person pool are well 1 in 7 but if we focused off wagon that pool becomes 1 in 5 and it's almost certain all wolfs didn't stack on Soneji.
Oh and your firm anti Soneji position also reeks of TMI but also makes me think the other wagons that were close when Soneji started to take off also were town. I know I'm town and I was one of them.
I immediately pushed suspicion cuz this day feels pretty important, like this is our second or last chance to get a wolf, and I want to make the most of it by saying 'hey, these 6 people like almost definitely have a wolf' and others have said that point too. Do we not have more leads on the people in Soneji wagon than out?
I need someone to give me an explanation of TMI because my context clue skills are clearly not cutting it. It means too much information, I know that, but I don't understand the context it's meant to be used in. What do you mean 'close when Soneji started to take off'? Like wagons who has 2 votes?
Now, let me explain why consensus building is good in this game imo. We have three cop/deputy checks and two doctor saves in the mix. Cop/deputy/doctor things could be replicative, marmot could also account for one, but there’s probably three or four confirms out there. Based on where we stand, I think maybe all of those confirms are town.
Consensus building enables confirmed town info to be applied as reads and lead to good decision making in the context of us not knowing who the power roles are or what they specifically know.

Re: Lawyers, Guns and Money- [DAY 4]
Oh no this makes a lot of sense and now I'm really worried. I can very much understand this and probably shouldve thought this through but the way I saw it was: Soneji is civ and Soneji isn't posting so I have to protect Soneji. I didn't really think about suspicion or anything like that.Golden wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 1:16 amI’m gonna give you an answer that assumes you’re town.
Because it’s easy for a wolf to know a wagon is town and feel confident they shouldn’t get on it.
Your answers today relieve my anxiety somewhat but my very first thought when soneji flipped town was ‘oh no, is it Dennis?’

Help me out here.Neon wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 4:54 pm Allow me to explain my frustration a bit
Ever since my wolf game I've been getting called a wolf no matter how hard I obv town. Okay I'm a good wolf I'll say it but that doesn't mean blindly ignore the behavior in front of you. The paranoia is frustrating. At least when Mac said what he said in that quote there was a reason for it I eod things that were decidedly anti town. I haven't here and still I'm being pushed.
But than I'm not even being pushed for MY play I'm being pushed because a new player who didn't like the game subbed out and Sean has decided that automatically makes them a wolf. I don't think you should be allowed to read into anyone but my play. I think subs should be judged on their track record. Sean has spent the last page and a half saying Jack behaved like a new wolf. The fixation on Jack is frustrating especially because I think that's all Sean can say because their reasons for pushing me on my play were weak and they don't hold water. So now I'm forced to defend myself against the mental of a person I am not because Sean is trying to read into their mental state and it is a physical impossibility for me to defend myself on that and Sean knows it.
To be clear: I think if Jack had a baddie role, he would have tried harder because of the pressure of teammates in a chat. Therefore, I find it unlikely Jack was bad.
But I'd be remiss if I didn't say I'd rather be judged solely on myself in both cases weather you think Jack was town for his behavior as you do or scum as Sean does.
I think you just think I'm town anyways but I'm just saying it so that I don't look like I have an agenda

It would make sense to hold off on roleclaiming if they were blocked by mafia, but then wouldn't the mafia just kill them if they knew who the town cop was? And then there's the idea that someone like Bea was town cop and she didn't submit it but I think that's unlikely. Or at least unlucky for town.

Because we should already have 3 reads. That should be plenty, and going back for anymore would be getting risky. I'm more for 'take what we can get' rather than 'risk it for more'.
