Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 10
My original belief was that DF was the Cyber Controller, and according to my spreadsheet, he still could be. However, DF is one of four people who could be The Master. Eloh, the other survivor in my quartet, sounded genuine to me when she survived:MovingPictures07 wrote:I should really get back to studying though, so I'll be back sometime this evening. Curious what everyone thinks here. And I'm especially curious regarding more elaboration from Epig since he said he would post some more information about DF being The Master but maybe now seems to be doubting it?
Add this to the fact that she said this before it was made known that Strax's first three civilian kills fail. Were she The Master, it would make more sense for her to simply claim that she didn't know how she survived, rather than claim one of a handful of civilian roles as early as Day 3.Elohcin wrote:I do believe I know what happened/how I survived but I am not all too sure I am allowed to share. I am really bad for dumping too much info when I have it. I will just say, read the civ roles again....or is that too much info?Metalmarsh89 wrote:Hi there Elo, what happened last night? Can you share?
Also, it's not that DF has been blendy- he's been downright opportunistic:
DFaraday wrote:RIP MP. Very interesting about LC. That's what, 4 currently living players who have been targeted for NKs? I'm betting both the Cyber Controller and the Master are among them.
These two posts, for instance (both occurring before Night 8), paint with broad strokes. He thinks The Master and the Cyber Controller are people who have survived Night kills, but he doesn't elaborate or specify whom, and he doesn't pursue this thinking. Instead, he chooses to go with the flow: Bass, who has not survived a NK. His vote is "because of the possible Cyberman connection."DFaraday wrote:As for the Master, I do think he's probably one of the people who's survived an NK. I find it a little hard to swallow that Sarah and Jack are two of them, and the other two are also civvies who just happened to be saved.
Ironically, DF defends himself this way:
"Bandwagon much?" he asks, even though his Day 9 and current votes are textbook examples of bandwagon votes- moving in the same direction as the majority without adding to the discussion. Notice how early on, DF voted outside of the majority, but with one exception since Day 4, he's been getting that vote in wherever everyone else is.DFaraday wrote:Bandwagon much? I don't know how to defend against this other than by saying 1. I'm not the Cyber Controller, and 2. I'm sorry if I play too carefully. I'm just not the kind of player to throw out every random thought I have (and I don't mean that as an insult to players who do).
I will be *Voting Bass*, which I was planning to do anyway because I do think he's likely bad, and also he's not me.
Now Chris says The Msater has to be him, DF, or Eloh, but Chris isn't one of my four. Therefore, if he's right on his end, it has to be DF or Eloh, and I don't think it's Eloh.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 10
There are no lynch switches listed in the roles, so I suppose Bass could be a secret one. But after watching him in Clue, I think that if he had a lynch switch, he would have burned it by now. So while I get the urge to seek "closure" and "clear up what happened" yesterday, I don't believe lynching Bass will do it. I've been on the receiving end of that thinking more than once and it sucks.
But you all go ahead and scratch that itch. Curiosity...something something cat. I forget how it goes.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 10
Yes DF. Unfortunately, I can only use the quick reply feature to post because of the Internet filter here. In a nutshell: Allowing for two specific assumptions, I have the Master narrowed down to one of four(!) people. Only you and one other person survived a NK, and I don't think the other person who survived a NK is The Master. Coincidentally, you are a possible Cyberman according to my spreadsheet, and the Cyber Controller could also explain your survival. Therefore, I think you should be lynched.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Night 9
Go back to Clue with me for a moment. Do you recall the Chief? Bass was the Chief. He switched the lynch when he wasn't in danger at all. To me (and my spreadsheet), that was foolishness. I even said so when he claimed it, and *I* got suspected over that.MovingPictures07 wrote:Lol, true, that role was badass.Epignosis wrote:

I don't think Bass chose anything, preemptively or otherwise. So...what's the Snow Dog connection? And if Bass didn't switch the lynch, why would this incriminate both of them?![]()
![]()
Go ahead, make fun of my use of clearly, but Bass had 10 votes. Chris had 4. Correct? So he was in the lead.
I don't understand your questions. Bass had the most votes, so considering I strongly believe him to be bad, it seems like a save to me. It seems you're not seeing my POV because you don't agree about Bass and Snow Dog being on the same team.
They're connected both via the Sabie lynch and their behavior, as I've stated earlier and earlier, and as Chris was the first to point out.
I don't think Bass switched a lynch. I think Bass is far more careless with such blessings. No- I bet this was someone else.

Not sure what role could do that though, I don't remember a lynch switch in the roles. That only leaves the two secret roles or some non-role related function as explanations.
I can't think of any other reason that would happen.
I suppose my opinion is colored by the fact that I strongly believe they're both Cybermen.
If you can think of a better explanation, I'm all ears, but that seems like the only feasible one to me.

In Bioshock Mafia, I was on a team with Snow Dog, Hedgeowl, DFaraday, and Bullzeye. Our team was fully in tact for much of the game. However, I got "hypnotized" by an independent, Nevinera. I was drinking a good bit that night when it happened and I foolishly copied and pasted the entire PM to my teammates. Upon realizing my error, and, being the only one with a full knowledge of the video game, I bluffed about returning to the team at a certain point in the story (Point Prometheus, to be exact). I even went so far as to make up PMs from the host and paste those in the chat room. I had a kill, and my new partner had a kill, so on Night 8, we took out two of my team, and someone else just happened to be killed coincidentally. Unfortunately, I got hypnotized again by Lorab, but that didn't matter much: I had been in a conference in Charlotte, and on the way home, the bus broke down at a McDonald's. I used Micky D's Wifi to get in a quick vote for DisgruntledPorcupine, but that's about all I could do. That was enough to get people talking about me and when I got home, I was lynched. Nevinera actually went on to win with the neutral roles. Crazy stuff.
