Re: [NIGHT 3] Avant-Garde Mafia 2

Ooo- almost edited my post (habit).

This may be reaching, but all the tracks on Addicted (the DT album) have exclamation marks at the end. An upside-down exclamation mark is a lowercase "i," and the only one among us with that mark at the end is Vompatti.

Probably talking out of my ass though.

Re: [NIGHT 3] Avant-Garde Mafia 2

I've tried considering what the Devin Townsend reference is about in the previous night post. The Truth witnessed rabbit8 doing strange things. Why The Truth? And did anyone have any luck figuring this (presumed) riddle out? Obviously not, I guess. :|

And Droopy Cash was hell bent on voting for rabbit8- the former turned out to be a civilian.

We're doing a bang up job routing the evil, aren't we?

I think we need to rethink our approach. I know I do. Droop was on my list, and that was not correct. Going to watch Chef Ramsay yell at n00bs in the kitchen, and I'll think it over.

Re: [DAY 3] Avant-Garde Mafia 2

You are a weird individual, chaindeath.

Thing is, if the votes against rabbit8 were genuine and not an attempt to save bea, then these people would probably want to vote for rabbit8 again, no?

Right now, I'm not entirely convinced that there isn't something going on between the hare and the wombat. Had I the freedom last time, I would have cast a vote for either of them. Though casting a vote for rabbit8 would put me in the "protecting bea" class under scrunity now, so again, probably better off being derpified for that day... :|

Wait, I missed this post, WTF? :confused2:
This was the thing I wanted to talk about earlier, but couldn't (due to having to talk in user names).

How does rabbit8 miss that when so many other people pressed Vompatti to elaborate?

I'm calling horseshit unless either of them has a good explanation (and I don't think either one of them does).

The details in that exchange are weird, but I suspected a connection with music. I went to Prog Archives and checked out Devin Townsend's discography (I am not knowledgeable of his music or his genre really, but Ziltoid is a DT album), and holy hell, there's this:

http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=24934

Eaten crayons right? Then look at the track titles. Compare that to the narrative MP posted. Perhaps there's a clue?

I don't have the album, but maybe we could examine the track titles or lyrics and figure something out. Image

OK, who comes up with this shit? Not only do I have to speak only in usernames from other Mafia sites, but I had to vote for the person who posted directly above me (in this case, The Truth- sorry old man). Finding the usernames to other Mafia sites wasn't hard: You people are all over the Internet with these games.

Probably better off though- I'd had a misgiving (still do really), which, had I expressed it, might have ultimately led to bea not getting knocked off.

Glad you enjoy his music! Definitely listen to Music for 18 Musicians; that is my favorite album of his for sure. He really is such an important figure in the history of contemporary/20th century composing.

That's one of many things I love about hosting mafia games is exposing other people to awesome music/TV shows/video games/etc. that perhaps they hadn't been fully knowledgeable of before. Of course, there's the fantastic flipside of being the one exposed to new items as well while playing a mafia game. I actually started watching Futurama at the insistence of one Mr. Droopy Cash and because of the recent Futurama game over at RM, for just one example.
Yeah it's really cool, because first I was hoping to get someone I already knew about like Mike Patton but instead I got another artist I can say I'm becoming a fan of.
Being Damo Suzuki in a game totally turned me on to Can :)
Eating my wife's cooking puts me ON the Can. :drums:

LittleTiger wrote:I think the most suspect thing so far is Vompatti trying to explain away Leech's self vote. Giving him an excuse, talking about secrets as if he knows why Leech voted himself. Just seems odd that he would jump to his defense so quickly. Also, the "defense" dissuades anyone from actually voting Leech (and it seems to have been effective).

DH - there are quite a few new players in this game, so why is sharing knowledge of how the game is played for their benefit worthy of being "notable"?
I think Vompatti likes to make observations regarding possibilities. Frankly, I would have done the same thing had I not been at work. Consider these possibilities:

1. Voting for himself gives Leech a benefit.
2. Us voting for Leech gives him a benefit or harms us.
3. Leech getting lynched gives him a benefit (or harms those that voted for him).
4. Leech voting for himself is suspicious, but (according to others), someone explaining the possible rationale behind that vote is even more suspicious, making Leech free and clear.
5. Or Leech is, to borrow a phrase from the rabbit, "Just fucking with [us]."

I did shortly before the poll expired (after I got home)- I was thinking that since the poll recorded our choices that posting my vote was redundant.

I've reviewed the rules and unless I'm missing something, it doesn't require that we announce our votes.

The rules don't require me to think you are a civvie. If you would like me to think that you are a civvie you may want to do civvie things. One being, post your vote.

Please.
"Civvie things?" There's a list somewhere?

I apologized for not posting when I thought doing so was superfluous. If reading into a faux pas made by a person who has played this game once years ago is how you care to play, then play.

Please.

Re: Avant-Garde Mafia 2: The Ultimate Dimensional Battle

I wanted to come and point out that, given the vastness of Neptune's and Pluto's orbits, it is highly unlikely that Neptune and Pluto would both be at the edge of our solar system at the same time, and therefore even less likely that they would both be at the edge of our galaxy at the same time.

But I'll be damned. Lookie there.
