I don't see how any of this could have been possible given that only one relevant Night phase occurred between the very first post and death.

Yeah, it's true. I'll do what I can.

I screwed up the chess game... using a board to track the moves because I'm not Sherlock Holmes, and I thought a move had been made that wasn't... now I'm going to lose some pieces because of it.

LC, I'm getting a little concerned. So much chess, so little digging. Can you provide some thoughts about the game?
I know, I know... chess is fast, Mafia takes my precious time.

I might need more of a case against nutella than "she called for more posting action". I'd still vote for Epi, him saying I can do so reeks of false bravado to me.

I think Luna is Civ. She sounds genuine to me, and I think Epi's "4 things" are contrived. Also, Luna's "maybe we can get info from my vote train" rang true to me. I know it's overdone and all, but [VOTE: Epignosis] aubergine.
"False bravado."

I find it hard to believe that someone would come up with four hard to believe excuses as a defence for their vote as scum. It's too much. Also it was three.
I didn't say she had four hard-to-believe excuses.

I said there were four different things I would have to believe in order for me to believe she is innocent. All four of those things would have to be true for her to be a civilian.
And those things are?
You also are making me work.

1) That she confused Creature for Rej
2) That she voted at the last minute despite it being an inopportune time
3) That she innocently voted for a civilian when the person she said she said she suspected was up for lynch
4) That she felt the need to vote at all despite being uninformed (as she claimed).

That's a lot to buy.

I understand real life intrusions, but I cannot judge them. I can only judge what happened in here.

There were, on Day 1, 24 people eligible to vote. Only 17 did. You are one of them, and your vote was instrumental in saving one person and lynching another. If you were as uninformed as you claim, why not vote in such a way as to avoid impacting the votes of those who were here and informed?

If you are innocent, then there are a number of unfortunate scenarios that had to occur all at once.
If you are guilty, there's only one.

I played one alias game with Michelle and I also believe she was in the Champs game with the representative from PerC, which I followed.

I would definitely recommend lynching Michelle at all costs.

it was the wagon that looked less bad. Also I almost didn't get a vote placed in time, so not much thought went into it.

Waiting until the last minute to vote: Stuff Mafia do.
Voting for someone without ever suspecting that person: Stuff Mafia do.
Saving the guy you said you suspected by lynching the guy you never said you did: Stuff wait what? Did that actually happen?

Holy yes it did.
Creature

Voters: Dyslexicon, Quin, nutella, Epignosis

Rej

Voters: Dragomir, timmer, Dom, juliets, Lunalee
Creature had four votes. At the last minute, Lunalee voted Rej, even though:

is there a reason why you wanna get a big wagon running? why so eager?
I voted TonyStarkPrime for reactions.

Big wagons cause more infospreading because it puts someone in spotlight, making that person squirm more while also making others need to justify their stances around said person.
Creature wrote: Thu Jul 25, 2019 8:25 pm It doesn't need to be Tony if you can provide me an alternative person to put on check.

What was the difference between it and the others?
I think the other train was Creature, and I had no idea why they were leading the poll.

If I had remembered they were the ones who I thought looked bad I would have joined that wagon.

I did remember reg making a sketchy post though, which is why I voted there.

Can someone summarize noteable events from the 24hours I missed in one hunch?
People voting for Creature are bad or alternatively Creature is bad
Why?
A hunch.
I haven’t fully read the end of day 1 when I get home I’ll find the time. But that’s the sort of thing I’ve seen mafia do to try to queue up a few lunches in the early game and avoid suspicion from running up town lynches. And also Epi is a pet scum read.
Tony, why is Epi a pet scum read? Do you mean in general or just this game?
This game. I’ll pull some posts tonight but he’s seemed off in a few different ways, he hasn’t been as aggressive and he’s had more focus than I normally see from town Epi.

I've been at this for six years. No one has ever adequately explained to me what "town Epi" is.

Horseshit.

timmer wrote: Sat Jul 27, 2019 1:10 pm This: "does it mean that this are mostly civillians jumping over to look and make right decisions or could it be baddies who approach to save someone?"

This: "On the other side I don't know if mafia profits from mislynching Dragomir, when Dragomir approaches me or other people agressively. "

This: "I heard nutella can perform far more impressive"

The first two statements have a real calculation behind them. I don't think a civ would care this much about trying to define the makeup of a Lynch train. It's day 1. Stuff happens and we vote. But why worry about how a mislynch would look? A civ shouldn't care how a Lynch would look to baddies at all, and a civ seems less likely to use the term mislynch here because a civ rej doesn't know what drag is.

The third statement makes me wonder about btsc.

So I'm staying put.
I disagree myself. I think Rej is just awkward in his wording. Think I remember that from the game he was miller (town) as well. I also feel that him insisting that "Drag should read me town" is truthful. I hear town say that much more than scum.
This is my largest caveat with Rej- the wording of his posts is gauche, such that I have trouble interpreting them as coming from a schemer. Maybe Rej isn't a schemer. I don't know.

I don't know about Nutella. I think she hasn't given much except from the take on Dom right now. I feel like Nutella has a very different style now than when I first started playing here. I feel I was able to read her before. I had a gut feeling they were town early on just form being fearless, but I don't know if it's super AI for them. Null and waiting for more content I suppose. Not really hating her take on Dom though.

This actually makes me feel a bit suspicious of you... it's like, an easy standard thing to say to earn your "Productive Civ" badge. I don't even think this is your usual MO. This sounds like a Sloonei/JJJ kind of thing. Not an Epi thing. You're bad. No one will believe that. Oh well, at least your wit is sharp. Maybe suspiciously sharp.
I figured there would be a punch line in there somewhere.

Did I earn my "Productive Civ" badge, LC?
