I don't want to sway anyone one way or another with what I'm about to say, but I've met speedchuck in real life. He's very analytical, facts-oriented, and not as emotional as the rest of the nuts running this asylum. Take that for what you will.Michelle wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 5:10 pm Like I said in the dream level, for me this game means very much emotion. Is hard to read without emotion.
When a player is emotionless, from various reasons, I cannot read him because words are just words and who can speak his mind easy and eloquent, that one can manipulate the game.
This is why this post makes me dislike Speed. Idk if it makes him mafia, but doesn't put him in a towny position.

To be clear, were you bad that time JJJ?JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 5:07 pmI don't fault you for being short on time and having less overall to offer. That's the way it goes. What I do think is different for This Speedchuck over Those Speedchucks though is your handling of suspicion. In the recent past, I remember you falling into similar POE positions where you were kind of a default suspect merely for not having a lot of content. Then, when someone tried to lynch you, you showed fire in your resistance to that.speedchuck wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 5:03 pm I'm probably not, come to think of it. Though I do get invested sometimes.
I recognize that you're looking for that investment, a genuine desire for hunting perhaps. You're not going to find that much from me this game. You can check my other town games in the past six months and see what you see there, on the flipside. When I don't have time, I don't have much at all.
You did it to me in the MU Season 6 Scrimmage when I was trying to mislynch you. You didn't shrug and say whatever. You fought back against a JJJ that you viewed as nefarious trying to take advantage of you. You've said that you suspect me in this game too (still not clear on why), and here I am now driving a wagon that threatens to end you. In response, I get no fire. I get shrugs.

Re: Champions 2019 - Crisis on The Syndicate [Day 6]
Colin didn't bother to interact with his suspects. That's a red flag. A vote doesn't mean anything to me, especially with more than one mafia. I was looking for Colin to parse his suspicion of Tony.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 1:26 amI'm keen to lynch Colin. On that front, sure. I agree with your conclusion. One question:
You noted Colin agreeing with Dyslexicon about a point against Tony. You said you sought follow-up. Later you observed Colin's Day 2 vote for Tony and said you didn't know why he placed it. And lastly you mentioned that the "Tony stuff you were looking for" was vague.
Please expand on all of that. It looks disjointed to me, and at times I struggled to follow what you were saying in general within that case.
This is where I am. I'll read the rest after this in about an hour. And get roaring drunk. Again.

There is a second lynch today.
If we are allowed to talk about out picks, then EVERYONE needs to vote and EVERYONE needs to announce a secret pick.
There's no excuse for this. Unless I am misunderstanding things, this needs to happen.
If you vote otherwise than your spoken vote, you will be held accountable.

There's a dialect in typing that makes everyone think what you're really asking for is their hand in marriage. That's problematic for many reasons. Some people are married. Some have children. Some are fourteen.
Perhaps you should try a different wording to get people to "engage with you."
Is that what you really want for our future? Think of the children!

She has 18 total posts. Very few of those posts are interactive questions. Rather, she's done two investigative style posts, one on Jack and half a one on nutella.
That is unnerving, because I'm used to seeing an engaged civilian juliets peppering people with questions and trying to piece things together. All of this feels like busy work. Even the conclusion on Jack is a weasel:
"Jack is very good at being scum. I need to think about and/or get feedback about my points above or other points about Jack but he is a possibility for my vote today."
Okay then.ColinIsCool wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 7:13 pm Although before I caught up I misinterpreted nutella as scum and read the thread as such, so some of my thoughts are useless.
I feel best about sig, his NANOOK suspicion and case felt really genuine. I also really like just about everything I’ve seen from ted. I like Jay so far, and Epi.
The Michelle post I quoted earlier bugged me out, I’m not sure what it meant/if it makes any sense. I agree with Epi’s concerne toward juliets.
Radishes isn’t giving me the same exact vibe as he did when I sniffed him out as 3P in Inception, but it’s similar ...

Apart from that he's also played with me before, so he should be able to have an actual opinion on me. But the main thing is that it was off wagon and a throw away vote. Sloonei did that as scum (lone vote on me D1) when he was scum the last time I was town. Just saying.

Does TH always have short responses and ask other people to make reads for him? I know I've played with him before but I don't remember. I feel like he's been kind of providing reads without much explanation and asking others to tell him why someone is scummy.
Nanook has had a big change in his tone since coming back so he must be excited about the role he got. I don't know if that's a good thing or not because he seems like he was hoping to be mafia but could just be a more exciting role. I find it weird he made it a point to point out he didn't get a mafia role.
I don't know if I've seen a bad jay before? I thought he looked like his usual self and getting discussion going and making reads. Is he different when he's bad?
Good to see sloonei seems back to his usual self. Just has to start asking more questions and have more long ISO posts and we got the old sloonei back. (Glad you're feeling better) good post on radishes I'm not familiar with them and they don't seem to be familiar with a lot of people here either so that's a good point.
My thoughts on Jack: I somehow skipped over all that in my frenetic catch-up. I think it’s a somewhat decent look for him. I don’t see why scum-Jack would spend all day tearing down nutella to only un-tear her and draw attention to himself for being weird.

I tell you what though, I will look at a bad Jay in a game so I can refresh my memory. Do you know one where he was bad? Also Epi, if you have played with bad Jay I'd be interested in your opinion of how he plays when bad.Epignosis wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 10:38 pmLet me ask you a question: Have you ever argued JJJ was bad before? I am not finished refreshing myself on Jay's posts but I am going to stop where I am (Night 2) and list some summary reasons why I am seeing Jay as town. I am sure I will have more as I continue on but this at least gets it started.
* Jay comes out of the shoot poking and prodding at everyone, giving opinions about their answers. He gives opinions of people outside his reads lists. He is constantly asking questions of everyone. This is a hallmark of the civ style I have seen from Jay. Imo all of these behaviors point to him hunting baddies and sharing opinions to try and start bringing together the town. He gives a reads list as early as Day 0 where he gives pluses and minuses. sig, Radish and Mac are all minuses. You only need to read a couple of pages of his ISO to see these behaviors if you want to.
* This is similar but a bit different from the first point. He not only doesn't avoid discussion about people he inserts himself in discussion or starts the discussion. He is involved in everything. And the points he makes seem to me to be thorough and I can't get inside his head but they appear thought through.
* When people town read him or say they trust him he asks for them to explain these reads. IMO he is trying to make sure people are not just throwing cheap reads out or trying to buddy him. There are others that do this, Dom and Epi to name two, and I see it as a civ behavior if done often.
* On Night 1/Day 2 he makes comments about Mac all of which are unfavorable. My point here is not that there is an in depth argument for Mac being bad but that the frequency of posts where he says unfavorable things about Mac is more than someone would do who was trying to distance. I might not have a complete list because I didn't notice the frequency at first but here is what I noted and remember this is just through Day 2:
* He does interactive analysis of everyone with Radish and everyone with Mac (I looked ahead to remember if he had done Mac). This is a time intensive endeavor and Jay has told us he is short of time. I don't think a scum Jay would spend this much time trying to help town.Spoiler: show
I know you all mostly do not agree with me but this is how I see it through Day 2. I would really like to see what the case against Jay is. I know Epi thinks he sounded phony. It would be nice if someone else who thinks he is bad would explain their thoughts.
I will post more summary thoughts as I go through the rest of his posts. I may be going to bed now but I will answer any questions in the morning.
That was several questions I know. I'll consider your view juliets. I don't think you are bad anyway.
@JaggedJimmyJay can you give me a game where you were a baddie?

What are you proposing Jack?Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 10:46 pmAntimonitor has -2 votes against him by default. Antimonitor killed last night, giving him +3 votes due to Nanook2's death. This is a net +1 vote.Sloonei wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 10:35 pmhuh?Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 10:30 pm Oh wait yeah the AM killed last night. He’s only at +1 vote, possibly tied with someone else due to award presenter and very likely behind Agatha.
I say we have two public votes and all privately vote for the most consensus target to override mafia secret vote.
Award presenter can give +1 or -1 votes against a player.
Agatha gains votes for using actions and can remove them by taking no action.
So the Antimonitor has 1 vote to start, Agatha probably has at least 1 vote to start and another player may have 1 vote to start as well.
So basically, the bodyguard could have given us a free lynch but it didn't. Might help the case of a tie though.

The heroes counted themselves lucky to have escaped the awful hellscape of the Anti-Matter universe, even if it had been through the nightmare Dreamscape of the Architect. Back with the Monitor at his fortress base, they were able to take a night and relax, preparing for whatever came next.
Harriet went strolling, humming softly to herself as her cats danced and bumped her legs. Soon, she came to a large door, marked 'ARMORY'. "Oooh," she said to her cats, "I should indeed like to see some fine armour!"
Her cats meowed in protest as she tried to open the door. "Drat it all," she said, frustrated, "Why's it all locked up?" Then an idea came to her - her Monitor-enhanced powers might be just the thing! She focused her pyrokinetics on heating up the large lock, and to her delight, it soon began to melt away!
Harriet clapped her hands as she nudged the hot door open with her foot. Entering the armory, she was surprised to see that it wasn't armour at all! Instead, there were grand weapons of all types, all on display!
She could feel her heart beating faster, as she thought about the grand fires these weapons could create! Her cats yowled and hissed as her hands began to glow.
"Oh my!" cried Harriet, sparks leaping to the various rockets and grenade launchers. As they began to fire, her cats reared up and scratched her legs, fed up with her foolish ways. Harriet cried and fell to the floor, and the cats descended upon her, feral with annoyance. She shrieked as they all were immolated by the chain reaction of explosions, which blew a quarter of the Monitor's base to rubble.
NANOOK has been killed! He was Harriet, a Civilian, from Shockheaded Peter Mafia by Epignosis.
It is now Day 6. Due to the night poll result, there will be two lynches today: one regular, and one by secret vote!
