Either a writer of fantasy novels (which I presently am) or a video game designer (which I presently am not). In fact, the book series I am writing now has characters and ideas that I came up with when I was 12 (and I still have the handwritten first draft I wrote when I was 12- six raggedy spiral bound notebooks).

Who was your biggest inspiration growing up?

Twins...sheesh!

What color pen am I using to grade these tests?

Mountains.

What has been the highlight of your day so far?

All three in the series. Third book was unimpressive.

Favorite salad dressing?

I assume so, but I've never tried.

Who is your favorite X-Men character?

White.

Can you skateboard?

Not that I can recall.

What's your favorite breakfast cereal?

Officially, no, but I do wear my wife's old glasses from time to time (I'm evidently nearsighted).

Have you ever ran with scissors?

According to those Charmin commercials, yes. Yes they do.

Have you ever read "Of Mice and Men?"

Nope. Hell, we barely have TV!

Are you married?

Simon will be 6 come July.

How did you decide to name your children?

Yep! He's reading so well, and he listens to us so much. "Daddy can't do that right now because he has to post. I wonder who gets lynched." Really kid?

Does Andrew like Thomas a lot?

My wife (and I) designed the Thomas game to be straightforward and PG. "Lynches" are "Decommissions" and "Night kills" are "Scraps!" There will be absolutely no profanity or obscenities permitted (very strict rule, and I will edit things out if I must). My wife actually made it with Simon and Andrew in mind.

Will he be able to play?

After school specials.

Thomas the Tank Engine. Funny you should mention that- my wife is on the couch designing her first Mafia game.

Did you watch Saturday morning cartoons when you were a kid?

I've never played either.

I like Break the Castle and games like that, so I guess Angry Birds.

We have dance parties at my house (me and the kids). I think the last song we danced to was ZZ Top's "La Grange." Before that was "Don't Turn Around" by Ace of Base. (We have to alternate between "boy songs" and "girl songs").

Doing BULLSHIT work for a college class I paid $426.

Delivering my son.

Independence Day. Our founding fathers should have revolted a few months earlier (like Thomas Paine told them they should have done). Damn heat.

I am looking forward to Six Feet Under. I used to catch that any time I stayed at a hotel (we never had HBO when I was a teenager, or cable for that matter). You can count on me to play your creations!

What is the best season of Lost?
Well I assume, when she is around, she breast feeds him. When she is not, they must feed him coconut milk - which is also magical. I like it that feeding the baby is unbelievable to you but 48 some odd people surviving a plane crash is ok.

Actually, 95.7% of plane crash victims survive the incident. Approximately zero percent of people survive without nourishment.
