Re: Retrocausality Mafia - Day 4: The Iliad was Lost to Time
Look:
1. lapluie isn't contributing, so she won't vote when it's necessary to do so
2. The host has a somewhat replacement
3. There's evidence the MacDougall kill was poorly thought out
4. I'm not bad
5. Neither is anybody else
6. Can we get on with our lives?

Re: Retrocausality Mafia - Day 4: The Iliad was Lost to Time
To say something has "run it's course" means it should be over with and it isn't.
I take that to mean this is over with but isn't because lapluie is still around.
Show of hands?

First of all, the civilians are playing poorly if NOBODY is going to track me, watch me, whatever me at any point. I get lapluie lynched. Vanish Spacedaisy.
Then I get sprityo lynched. Vanish Scotty.
It's then me, you, Kylemii, and Juliets.
How is that working out for me?
Bitches, I think ahead.
Keeping basically townfirmed people alive makes sense when you imagine the mafia is trying to navigate 3 potential doctors.
Killed Quin, who was cop, killed one of the doctors yesterday.
I remember you poo-pooing the mafia for killing Mac last night, but I think it a great strategic kill.
You thinking ahead is killing someone every night. I don’t see why you’re patting yourself on the back here
I am an absolute strategist when I am evil. All of the "doctors" here are within the realm of lynching. Mac could be lynched. I could be lynched. You could be with effort (because you're Scotty ).
No, the move was ignorant.

I still like the lapluie vote. She said specifically that she can't catch up. That doesn't preclude sending in Night actions, which doesn't take long to do. Look at the poll, and pick somebody. A MacDougall pick also gels with the idea that someone isn't paying close attention.

Again, I'd vote for him and hope to get lucky. My main suspects at this stage are lapluie and Colin, and I've contributed a vote to the former.

Re: Retrocausality Mafia - Day 4: The Iliad was Lost to Time
Kylemii inhabits a neutral zone for me, because he asks a lot of neutral questions and usually ends up finding the answer himself. I'm trying to go over how an evil Kylemii could use his BTSC with Turnip Head to his advantage, and I'm coming up short, but even then Kylemii has never struck me as a terribly manipulative sort.
I would vote Kylemii in hopes of getting lucky (which is what I've basically been doing this whole time), but there's been anything that makes me want to vote for him.

That happened during the Day. A traditional doctor couldn't have prevented that.ColinIsCool wrote: ↑Mon Jun 25, 2018 2:00 pm I’ll give you that my role can easily suit any alignment, but I don’t quite get why you think a mafia doctor is unlikely if there are other vanishings happening (INH).

Re: Retrocausality Mafia - Day 4: The Iliad was Lost to Time
The apparent existence of multiple doctors has made me disinterested in whether or not you could be lying about your role, as some have suggested. I have no problems believing a second predictor exists.
None of that speaks to your alignment, which is where my interests lie.
A doctor in this particular setup, from everything we've seen, would have zero utility on a mafia team. A guy who can increase his voting power would be.
The other thing of note is that removing MacDougall was not an optimal choice. If the mafia are going into the endgame with three civilians in juliets, Spacedaisy, and Scotty, all of whom are unlikely to be lynched before them, then what made MacDougall an attractive target? It doesn't seem very well thought out to me. I've had to accept over the years that people aren't perfect, and don't always make the right decisions when it comes to elimination candidates.
Colin, you wear MP's quote down there as a badge of honor.

But I hate that you oppose the idea that I could have knowledge so strenuously to the point it affects your ability to enjoy the game because you don’t have the same.

Re: Retrocausality Mafia - Night 3: Enter the domain of Chronos
I can't wait for the day when I can roll in here calling people 100% civilians left and right and get away with it.

Agreed.MacDougall wrote: ↑Sun Jun 24, 2018 1:04 amGolden I think you are overreacting man. You should try to see it from our perspective here. What's the use of having a public town bloc if you don't coordinate them as a voting bloc? This is your bloc so it's your responsibility imo. Nobody begrudges you being away from the thread because of personal reasons but you were posting and here as much as anyone even though you didn't realise it so a simple effort towards getting your town bloc voting together would have made a lot of sense given how adamant you were about sig's alignment.Golden wrote: ↑Sun Jun 24, 2018 12:21 am Like honestly epi if you come at me about my ‘effirt’ in mafia... it’s the most hypocritical thing you can do.
You give no effort to be transparent. You give no effort to ever try to appear town. You avoid town cores. You piss around with people. People ask you questions and you make no real attempt to answer them.
This is the thing I hate most about playing mafia - that others think THEIR expectations of how I should play drives how I should play.
I don’t give a shit about how you think I should play. But attacking for lack of effort under the circumstances is just shitty.
(And yes, I am a bit sensitive about ‘effort’ right now since I nearly lost my job for ‘lack of effort’ who’s working 60 hour weeks).
I won’t stand for your hypocrisy. Why don’t you try making genuine efforts to be transparent and then maybe I’ll take advice from you. In the mean time, how much effort I put in to a game is my call and mine exclusively.
In this game I’ve put in substantial effort. Check out the post count.
I will not be bullied into forcing Scotty, daisy or Mac to have ‘transparent effort about getting on the same page’ with me. I’ll talk about my views in the thread, they will talk about theirs, and in the end each person will vote as they choose.

No I didn't. You brought up S~V~S's name.Golden wrote: ↑Sun Jun 24, 2018 1:03 amI never equated the two, you did.Epignosis wrote: ↑Sun Jun 24, 2018 12:57 amYou tried to turn this into a hypocrisy issue while equating S~V~S with Scotty. Seems fishy to me.
He'll get mad.

I said I'll leave you be. Isn't that good enough for you? Get the win, Golden!Golden wrote: ↑Sun Jun 24, 2018 12:46 amI didn’t run the last phase and you’re coming at me for NOT doing it.Epignosis wrote: ↑Sun Jun 24, 2018 12:43 amI said I'm done, Golden. I meant that. You can run this game. You're already doing it.Golden wrote: ↑Sun Jun 24, 2018 12:41 amOk well:Epignosis wrote: ↑Sun Jun 24, 2018 12:39 amI accused you of not putting forth effort in one area of this game: Getting on the same page with Scotty- the one person you claim to be 100% sure is a civilian.Golden wrote: ↑Sun Jun 24, 2018 12:37 amOnly scotty was cleared by my role as I’ve made clear multiple times.
Mac and Daisy were cleared through their own actions. They aren’t 100%, but I struggle to make sense of certain actions if they are bad.
Are you telling me I’m not putting in effort? Is that what you’re saying? I mean, even still, your posts aren’t actually enlightening me about what it is exactly you find odd or suspicious.
I have a problem with that. I have no problem with your effort otherwise. Stop making it about anything else.
Exactly what instances were scotty and I not on the same page?
Exactly how little effort did we put in?
Exactly what effort do you expect?
Why do you expect that effort? What do you think is townie about it? What do you think is bad about the opposite?
But ok then. If you won’t actually engage in your suspicion, I can’t engage back.
