A minute for rebuttal:thellama73 wrote:I meant exactly what I said. No subtext.Elohcin wrote: @ Llama - What did you mean?
It paints a target on your head because baddies want to kill people who have no chance of getting lynched, i.e. obvious civs. If the other civs think you might be bad, the baddies have a better reason to leave you around to divert attention from them.Elohcin wrote: Second ping. How does this paint a target on your head when the baddies already know you are civ.
YOur case on Matt is very thin and it makes me want to vote for you all the more. I still have not made up my mind whether to go after you or INH, but right now I am leaning towards you.
A civilian has no say over being Night killed. A civilian's chief defense is to convince the thread he or she is in fact good. Does it paint a target on them? Indeed it does- but it also invites the activity of convinced protectors, ressurectors, et al.
If being painted as a civilian is a bad thing, then why were you so swift to declare me as good to the thread, only for me to be Night killed Evening 1?
thellama73 wrote:Don't be silly. You are as civvie as the day is long.Epignosis wrote:Do it little moth.
Either you used me as a shield for Night 1 or you had far more nefarious intentions.thellama73 wrote:I said that Rob was as civ as the day is long, then he was killed by the mafia, making it unlikely that he was mafia. Check the record, and you will see.

Why not? I don't see anything in the villain roles that indicates being taken off the poll. In fact, where the hero roles have some vague abilities, the villain role descriptions are decidedly explicit.Mister Rearranger wrote:The removal of Hedge from the poll does not do her any additional favors in my eyes, if I might add.

Re: [DAY 2] Super Meat Boy Mafia
If you are a Fetusite, you might claim that I am good, and then when you or your team cooks me, you conveniently gain some measure of credibility.thellama73 wrote:I said that Rob was as civ as the day is long, then he was killed by the mafia, making it unlikely that he was mafia. Check the record, and you will see.
thellama73 wrote:I don't want to appear as a civ. Do you think I want to get NKed? Not bloody likely.
This makes no sense to me. There are three factions. One faction knows its members, so you presumably wouldn't want to look like a villain. If you don't want to look like a civilian, then do you mean that you want people to believe you're the turd?A Person wrote:I agree, appearing/claiming to be civ only restricts what you can do and paints a target on your head. I also agree with Lizzy, though. :P
![Huh?](./images/smilies/sCo_blink.gif)
The situation is worse, actually: The Fetusites are free to vote for Dr. Fetus as much as they wish, since he is invulnerable until Chapter 6. For that reason, it is of nearly equal importance that we find the Doc successfully each Night. This means a hero successfully choosing the correct number. I think the question about whether or not to make the searches public is our biggest clues for finding out the Fetusites.Hedgeowl wrote: Bwt's vote for him gives me pause. Of course this game is interesting in that baddies can in fact vote for each other without fear of killing them. I think Nev's theory is sound and we do actually have to start lynching people to get info. However, it's frankly more fun when everyone is still here, so not sure I really want to do this yet.
Which is why statements like this really bother me:
More cogitation is required...Mister Rearranger wrote:RIP Mongooseand lame that we're still in the Hospital.

By the time we discover who they really are, they have have too many lives left for us to do anything about it.
If, on the other hand, he wear EVERYBODY's lives down early, when we have more information and determine who the baddies are, it will be easy to kill them.

Re: [NIGHT 0] Super Meat Boy Mafia
I don't think so. But that's a conversation to be had over chili and beer. You want a horrible story, read Judges 19.thellama73 wrote:After these things, God tested Abraham, and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am." And he said, "Take your son, your only-begotten son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Mori'ah, and offer him there as a burnt offering upon one of the mountains of which I shall tell you." So Abraham rose early in the morning, saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and his son Isaac; and he cut the wood for the burnt offering and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. On the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place afar off. Then Abraham said to his young men, "Stay here with the donkey; I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you." And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac, his son. And he took in his hand the fire and the knife. So they went both of them together. And Isaac said to his father Abraham, "My father!" And he said, "Here am I, my son." He said, "Behold, the fire and the wood; but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?"Abraham said, "God will provide himself the lamb for the brnt offering, my son." So the went both of them together.Hedgeowl wrote:The bible has a lot of names. Not yours or mine that I know of though.thellama73 wrote:Bible much?Hedgeowl wrote:My son's name is Isaac, so this blinding talk is creeping me out yo. I assume its a game?![]()
It didn't hurt that my husband is a big Isaac Asimov fan.
When they came to the place of which God had told him, Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar, upon the wood. Then Abraham put forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. But the angel of the Lord called to him from Heaven, and said, "Abraham, Abraham!" And he said, "Here am I." He said, "Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only-begotten son, from me."
Isn't that a horrible story?
