Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER IV]

Note:

There is a poll up. These are the five tribes, represented by a dead leader. You will select the tribe with the leader you think will win the contest tonight.

Only two per tribe please.

If you don't vote by 5pm EST, you will be randomly assigned to a tribe.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER IV]

Note: The Chapter IV poll will go up after 5pm EST.

Also, I have five contestants for this evening. I originally wanted six, but five is perfect on reflection. Teams will be randomly assigned.

I would like one backup contestant in case someone cannot / does not make it on time.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER III]

Second Mafioso

Chapter III
1 The furor among the people of Sin-d’kaht was not assuaged by the deaths of Absalom and Samson, and they sought justice. 2 Some were arguing that Lot was guilty, for there was a saying among them: 3 “He who has many sins has many words.” 4 Still others declared that Deborah was evil, for there was another proverb: 5 “When you do wrong, speak not, for your words are treacherous to you.” 6 And after this manner did they quarrel all day. 7 It was decided that they should cast lots, and the lot fell on Deborah. 8 Now Deborah was very large, and of great strength, and so withstood each blow from a stone. 9 When the people had tired, they said, “Surely this is no woman! Take off her veil.” 10 And the people did so, and behold, behind the veil was a bearded countenance, one belonging to a Philistine! 11 And they marveled that no stone could kill him, so they cut off his head. 12 They sent the head to Philistia as a warning to the people that dwelt there.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER II]

6 A man named Absalom sought to make the people hear reason. After Isaac’s death, he said, “Why do you listen to false witnesses? 7 A lying tongue is like a misshapen plowshare, which tills the earth and looks productive, but in the end yields no crop.” 8 But a man named Jonah raised his voice against Absalom, saying, “And how do we know you are not the misshapen plowshare?” 9 And the people were in an uproar because of this dispute. 10 Fearing for his life, Absalom fled the crowd and went home. 11 The people of Sin-d’kaht surrounded Absalom’s house and called out to him, “Come out, Absalom, so that we might test you, as is our custom.” 12 But Absalom did not answer yea or nay. “Maybe he sleeps,” they said. Upon entering, they found Absalom dead in his bed. 13 His blood painted a message on the wall in a foreign tongue, when translated, said, “The nations shall fear Nebuchadnezzar.” 14 Jonah saw this and tore his hair and clothes, saying, “Truly Absalom was a good man, and I have slandered his name!” 15 Saying this, Jonah drew his sword and fell upon it.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER II]

Second Mafioso

Chapter II
1 The next day, the people of Sin-d’kaht rose up against Isaac, for some were testifying against him, saying, “We have seen him do evil things with Mordecai.” 2 Before the cock crowed, they took Isaac out to the city gates and stoned him. 3 And Isaac did not cry out when he was being stoned, for, although he was a tax collector named Matthew previously, he had repented of his sins. 4 Those who had forgiven him mourned his death, and accused those who had stoned him. 5 For this reason, it was said, “Someone has borne false witness against Isaac, and we have listened to lying spirits!”

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER I]

Second Mafioso
Chapter I
1 The people of Sin-d’kaht were troubled and sore afraid, for heathens still were among them. 2 They were aggrieved that Ruth was alive, and so they plotted a way to destroy her. 3 And while they plotted, some advised them, saying, “Leave Ruth alone, for she is the handiwork of death.” 4 But they heard that voice not, and proceeded to stone her. 5 They buried Ruth outside the city quickly in hopes that her harlotry was forgotten quickly. 6 For it was said by outsiders that she was resurrected by the Lord, and that the Lord was honoring her wicked ways. 7 “If she returns from the dead again, then we will know that it is the work of the Lord and not the work of Death. 8 But if she does not return, then we will know that it is not the work of the Lord.” 9 And in their haste, no man took sleep.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER X]

First Mafioso
Chapter X
1 This is an account of how Belshazzar of Babylon was driven away by the people of Sin-d’kaht: 2 When Belshazzar invited many to one of his feats (for he was known for great feasts), he invited Absalom, Isaac, Jacob, Pilate, Deborah, and Balaam. 3 Now they had conspired to kill Belshazzar during the feast, for they had said amongst themselves, “He is an evildoer come to destroy us.” 4 And lo, a hand appeared and wrote on the wall, “8=====>*” 5 When Belshazzar declared the writing on the wall, the conspirators saw their opportunity. They rose up against him, saying “This is a mad man!” 6 And they took him outside to stone him, despite his generosity. 7 But before anyone could touch a stone to his head, a mighty whirlwind came and drew Belshazzar heavenward. 8 For each man will drink the cup Belshazzar offers in his time; yea, no man shall escape this cup in this generation or in the generation that is to come. 9 And when Belshazzar was carried away into the clouds, behold, the earth trembled, and the graves opened their mouths. 10 From one grave came a woman, shrouded in burial cloths. And when she drew nigh, behold, it was the woman called Ruth.

1 These are the fathers of Siptah: 2 Amenmesse, sister of Twosret, whom Merneptah begat, 3 And Isetnofret begat Merneptah, 4 And Isetnofret was the brother of Ramses, Pharoah of Egypt. 5 Ramses, son of Seti, had beset the land of Sin-d’kaht with serpents and spies that had caused anguish and grief. 6 His name in that region had been Mordecai, and the people rejoiced, for they had stoned him. 7 For this reason, everyone went to his home satisfied, and rested without fear, for they knew the Lord’s blessing was upon them.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER VIII]

9 And God’s wrath found Judah, a quiet man who lived in the south. For eating with foreigners and disobeying God’s command, Judah died at the table while he reveled. 10 Seeing this sight, Rachel, a woman in Judah’s house, cried out to alert the guests, for the noise of the merriment was great. 11 A guest from Egypt, one who was sojourning in Sin-d’kaht, answered her. “Go, woman, and touch your master Judah seven times with this staff.” 12 And he gave her the staff, and she did as the man from Egypt commanded her. 13 The seventh time she touched her master Judah with the staff, behold, the staff fell to her feet and became a serpent. 14 And the serpent struck her feet seven times, killing her. 15 For this reason, it is said among them in Sin-d’kaht “Do not accept a staff from a foreigner.”

Chapter VIII
1 There was a man named Jonathan in those days who was a righteous man. He sought to live in peace. 2 He was also called Andrew, and was a fisherman with his brothers. 3 One day he was falsely accused of worshiping the false god Juliets, who was said to speak through Jonathan many times. 4 But others said, “No, Juliets was only speaking by accident.” 5 They cast lots and determined that Jonathan should be put to death, for his words from Juliets they determined were false prophecies. 6 And they took him out on a boat into lake near the Ratey’ourm-usicians, a region despised to this day for their devious ways. 7 And taking Jonathan out there, they stoned him on the boat and cast his body overboard so that it could not be found. 8 And God’s wrath burned against the people of Sin-d’kaht for such wickedness.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER VII]

9 Shortly thereafter there arose a giant from afar who reveled in violence, for that was his way. 10 With spear and a sword he caused the earth to tremble like his enemies in battle. 11 He had been waiting for nighttime to kill one of his enemies, and nighttime had come. 12 Therefore he girded up his loins and ran to the home of his enemy (they were enemies because they had insulted and cursed the giant’s family). 13 But God remembered the enemy of the giant and confounded the giant. 14 And the giant left that same night from Sin-d’kaht because he could not find the house of his enemy.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER VII]

First Mafioso

Chapter VII
1 When the people of Sin-d’kaht had grown restless, they said, “Come, let us go to the house of Jephthah, that we might make him send out his daughter for us.” 2 And so they found Jephthah at home and demanded that he send his daughter out to them so they might know her. 3 But when Jephthah’s servant informed him of the mob at the door, he dismissed the servant. 4 A second time, the servant brought word of the mob, and a second time did Jephthah dismiss him. 5 And a third time, the servant brought word of the mob, and was much distressed, but Jephthah dismissed him. 6 The servant cried out, “Wherefore dost thou dismiss thy servant when an angry mob is outside demanding your daughter?” 7 Jephthah answered, “I do not believe there is anyone outside.” 8 And to this day, the ruins of Jephthah’s home is called “The ruins of the Doubter,” for he doubted that anyone had come to stone him.

If there's no Night, there's no Night. That applies to everyone.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER VI]

First Mafioso
Chapter VI
1 After the stoning of Uzziah, who was also called Herod Antipas, there was a feast to celebrate. 2 And it came to pass that Ruth was tempting the men of the festivities into adultery. 3 For she loved wine too much, and tempted men to love wine, and in their drunkenness they fornicated. 4 After the feast, the father of one of the men found them lying in a tent without clothes. 5 He called a curse upon them, and gathered his neighbors to take the harlot to the city gate and stone her. 6 As they were stoning her, she cried out, “I am a foreign queen.” 7 But the people of Sin-d’kaht were unmoved and put her to death. 8 Because of the rumors that this woman had men thereabout seeking revenge, the city posted guards. 9 And the guards saw to it that there would be no blood shed before the next day.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER V]

First Mafioso

Chapter V
1 The people of Sin-d’kaht tore their clothes and sat in sackcloth and ashes because they had not stoned an evil one. 2 And they were exceedingly troubled. 3 “What about Uzziah?” it was said. “He says he wants the unrighteous to prevail. What are we to do with him?” 4 “Stone him!” they said. And verily they took Uzziah to the city gates to stone him. 5 And when they arrived at the stone gates, they found that Uzziah had acquired a sword. 6 “I worship Jupiter,” he chanted as he bore the thing into his own neck. “I am his king,” was his last breath. 7 And behold, when Uzziah was dead, the sun stood still, so that the slaughter may continue. 8 What follows is the psalm praising this event, because they had flown in headlong: 9 “Some days were dark. I wish that I could live it all again. 10 Some nights were bright. I wish that I could live it all again.” 11 Knowing that the Roman king was dead, the people of Sin-d’kaht rejoiced, as they would never be imprisoned falsely again.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER IV]

14 When the wisdom of the people had been tested, it was found that the spirit of God was with the Amorites. 15 “Come into our protection today, and enjoy the hospitality of the Amorites for all of tomorrow, you who stood with us. Your enemies cannot touch you.” 16 And while they supped, their host asked them of the wisdom of their people. And one of them spake, saying, 17 “So Solomon sayeth, Hello my beloved subjects. My great wisdom has shown me that this is not going well for us so far, Children of Israel. 18 But an Angel of the Lord came to me in a dream, and He said 'Solomon I have an idea'. And so here is literally GOD'S IDEA. 19 We should have a shotgun lynch. As soon as you read These Words, PLEASE IMMEDIATELY vote for the player YOU as an individual follower of the Lord believe to be a disciple of Satan. 20 Briefly explain why as soon as you vote. Things can't possibly get worse than they are now, so let's just see what happens when we do this today. Seriously everyone vote for the player you are most suspicious of as soon as you read this. It is God's Will for Chapter V.” And the Amorite host was amazed by this wisdom. 21 After this feast, while everyone was returning home, they passed a beggar named Barnabas, and they ridiculed him. 22 “Foreign people have brought a feast into our lands this night, and you, O sluggard, have sat outside, taking nothing for food!” 23 “I have been fasting,” Barnabas replied, but everyone knew Barnabas was poor and had no food, so he feigned piety. He died that night from hunger. 24 Nicodemus took pity on Barnabas, and arranged for his body to be buried outside the city. 25 And while he was preparing the body, a foreign man, the same emissary who had beset the people of Sin-d’kaht with serpents, called out to him from within the tomb. 26 “Is this not your tomb, Nicodemus?” he asked. 27 Nicodemus answered him, “No, this is not my tomb. This is the tomb of poor Barnabas, who perished for want of food.” 28 But the emissary answered him, saying, “This is your tomb.” And the emissary struck down Nicodemus. 29 And to this day Nicodemus and Barnabas are buried together. Is it not written in the book of Revmaf?
