Re: Jessica Jones S1 Mafia - Day 4
I'm rather tired of shouldering all the blame for a loss, whether it be of a civilian or the entire deal. I am one vote. One. I spent my evening trying to determine, among other things, if Eloh was bad or not. If she's bad, then she did a fine job of talking her way out of it, and I commend her for that.Scotty wrote:Rereading this thread now during my show, and I'm flabbergasted. Why should I think you are a civilian?Spacedaisy wrote:I was pretty confident in my read of INH, it's why I had him as low as timmer. Unfortunately I was wrong. I was pretty clear though that Elo was my next suspicion. Sorsha/DF was really that low because I had no read on her whatsoever, and unfortunately I can't say it has changed much with DF, I have a hard time reading him in general. He almost always reads good to me. So I tend to keep him on my list for that fact. I haven't posted as much because my thoughts have not changed much. I'm fairly sold on an Elo vote today. I'm only waiting because I want to be sure we don't split the vote. It's pretty critical at this point.Scotty wrote:Every single player in this game has posted suspicion of Elo (except maybe timmer, but who cares), so if she is bad, then a baddie has already started the bussing. SD's last rainbow list had timmer and INH at the bottom tier, and Sorsha/DF and Elo as the 2nd lowest. I wish she would come back and give her updated thoughts now that DF has subbed in.
If Elo is good, the baddies would be fine using her as the bait.

Strike one, missy. Question was thus: What made timmer trustworthy to you as soon as you replaced Dom? Do you still trust him?Elohcin wrote:1. I'm not aware that it was as soon as I replaced in that I said I thought timmer was trustworthy. But I do remember thinking I ought to share my thoughts of who I thought was good or bad. And honestly, it was a combination of Elo 1.0 and Elo 2.0. My new role didn't affect my perspective.Epignosis wrote:How busy you are has nothing to do with what role Dom got. As you know...I have not. And now that it's after dinner, I just want to relax. I know you have lots of questions, especially why I trust who I trust this game. I chalk it all up to tone and participation. But that answer is only with days ago in mind. I haven't been able to keep up the past few days. And I am super busy this week with work. So..lynch me, don;t lynch me. Whatevs. All I can say is that I know you don't want to lose a civ. So you might want to look elsewhere.
1. What made timmer trustworthy to you as soon as you replaced Dom? Do you still trust him?
2. Where did you say indiglo was playing it safe?
3. You said, regarding my baseless suspicion of indiglo: "I think I know why he may have done it. I cannot reveal it at this time, I don't think. But perhaps later. As for now...I am not looking hard at him. " Why did you think I suspected indiglo and why couldn't you reveal it at the time?
4. Would you lynch DrWilgy or wouldn't you?
I'm not asking if you were aware of anything, or whether you felt you outhgt to share your thoughts, or what persona was coming together to make those thoughts. When you said timmer was trustworthy, what gave you that impression? There must have been some reason for it. And do you still trust him? You didn't say.
I think that claim bears a look into Eloh 1.0. Do your posts then reflect an unspoken view the indiglo was playing it safe? I remember them from this morning, and my opinion would be "No." I'll look again, however.Elohcin wrote:2. I believe I said that I thought she was playing it safe as Elo. 1.0. Let me see if I can find it. .............................Hmm, I must have only thought it and not stated it
You keep citing that game. You were bad. Wrong or right reasoning, accidentally or not, I pegged you, and it led to your lynch. I don't see what relevance that has here. I also don't see why this is a secret code you couldn't reveal at the time. You couldn't have said, "Here is why I think he's voting indiglo, because he wants me to think he's a civilian." That just doesn't make any sense.Elohcin wrote:3. A previous game we were both in, you were civ and you voted for me Day 1 for no reason whatsoever and you stated as much. I thought it could have been a slight way of you trying to communicate to me, "hey, I'm civ." But I didn't catch that this could be until I posted it. So...yes, I hounded you for your lack of reasoning. But...I think you are civ now after that. BUT, I could be totally off and it have no meaning whatsoever and you could be bad bad bad.
Okay.Elohcin wrote:4. Would I lynch Wilgy? Sure if you guys think he is bad. Like I said, I haven't been following the thread. And like I also said, I think randomizing is worse than jumping on a bandwagon. I think bandwagoning shows faith in the people. You can all disagree with me if you want..I don't care.

Elo is someone I would be interested in possibly pursuing today though. You've made the same point I have regarding the shady nature of her vote for Indi and lack of reason for it.

Elohcin BR (Before Replacement)
Eloh wasted no time expressing her incredulity of my indiglo suspicion or Wilgy's reaction to it.
As a side note, Wilgy wants to know who would like to bet that one of the low posters or random voters is bad. You want to know who was a low poster?

Elohcin AR (After Replacement)
Despite the length of this post, it's mostly just questions and commentary about herself and me.
All of this is true.
Keep in mind, Eloh earlier gave this mysterious proclamation: "I think I know why he may have done it. I cannot reveal it at this time, I don't think. But perhaps later. As for now...I am not looking hard at him."
That means Eloh was thinking there was a different reason why I voted indiglo beyond merely thinking she was bad, but later Eloh reduces the matter to "Heck, maybe Epi was right."

@ Wilgy....so you suspect Epi (as per your rainbow list). Why?

This is, obviously, in response to timmer, who had nothing to say to or about Eloh until she replaced Dom. Eloh's answer was that, had she voted, she would have voted Wilgy. She had made a post about missing the lynch in her previous incarnation, but did not say who she would have voted.Elohcin wrote:Honestly Timmer, I am not sure what to think about Epi. The last game we played together and this one....he automatically came in on Day 1 and voted someone for no reason whatsoever. It just doesn't seem like him. Maybe he is being a bad baddie. He pinged me more than Epi just by his response to Epi.
I need to catch up on the few posts I haven't read since my death and I may find this answer as I read, but what do you think of Epi and his Day 1 vote. And, what do you think of Wilgy?

Re: Jessica Jones S1 Mafia - Day 4
*Cracks knuckles*
A "random" vote for Sorsha.
Dr.Wilgy voted for him and gave him two votes and the lead:
I voted indiglo- she wasn't bad.
indiglo, who already had my vote, randomly voted DDL.
timmer voted Sorsha.
INH voted timmer.
DrWilgy voted timmer right after asking zebra about what would happen in a tie, not waiting for a response even though he posted again right after zebra answered the question. n.b. DrWilgy called me bad throughout Day 1, but didn't vote for me.
For timmer's accusation of Wilgy to mean something, it would have to mean that timmer is also accusing one of indiglo, DDL, or Sorsha as bad. indiglo wasn't bad.
That was a swift turnaround. My view here is that timmer and DrWilgy are teammates, and Wilgy knew timmer would survive when nobody else did, and that people would assume a mafia member surviving a lynch would be unbalanced. I don't think they anticipated their secret being revealed when MM shot himself. It's almost as though timmer is pushing a teammate's lynch in order to set the mob upon me the following phase. But that plan is so amateur. Surely it can't be that simple! Surely the likes of-
One takeaway here is timmer's use of the future real conditional, which indicates he knew he wasn't going to get lynched.
He addresses Eloh for the first time- right after she subs back in after being killed, and only asks her about me.
"Well gee, timmer, if I'm wrong, you should think that I'm bad and come and get me!"
timmer votes me because there isn't a case on indiglo. Consider the others who voted indiglo based on what amounts to nothing, according to him: DDL, MM, or Elohcin (!).
DDL gave his reason:
Eloh's vote is worthy of scrutiny here, especially from timmer. No scrutiny ever comes. Don't worry- it's coming. Just not from timmer.
Instead of scrunity, timmer provides faux-outrage:
His gut tells him I'm bad.
Huh.
My vote wasn't a gut vote. My vote was an ass vote. As in, I was voting out of my ass. I haven't even been reading the thread very much, I'm sorry to say. That changes today.
The fact that timmer places all the blame of the indiglo lynch on a guy who wasn't reading the thread but still somehow owed my lemmings some sort of "voter discretion advised" message is a smokescreen. Somebody who voted indiglo is bad, as timmer is unwilling to provide any scrutiny on the voters who trusted a guy who was barely paying any attention.
DrWilgy points out the (obvious) flaw in timmer's accusation. For anyone on the fence about this, it's very simple.
MM could kill somebody. If that person is a civilian or the protected mafia member, MM dies. MM died. He evidently targeted me. There are many more civilians than protected mafia members (at the time, it was something like 8 or 9 to 1).
timmer survived a lynch. He did not go into detail about why he survived, but keep in mind I pointed out that timmer's use of the future tense before his lynch post indicates that he knew he wasn't going to die, as he was making plans in the thread before the lynch post revealed his survival. So it cannot be that someone pardoned him.
The revelation of a protected Mafia member (and the exact mechanics of that protection) would have been a shocking strike to the mafia, since until that point people were assuming timmer was pardoned or had a built in protection from a lynch, both of which are traditionally civilian abilities. That possibility no longer exists unless you are willing to take the 10% odds or so that I am bad.
With that revelation, Wilgy has no choice but to take off the gloves.
My verdict at this time is that the mafia team is timmer, DrWilgy, and Elohcin.
A "random" vote for Sorsha.
A "coworker" picked a name. Yeah right. I bet timmer wasn't even "at work." He was probably researching fantasy football and rostering duds like Lance Kendricks and J.J. Nelson.timmer wrote:This is a friendly reminder to CHANGE YOUR SETTINGS if you just turned back your clock last night.
I'm at work, and can't be around. Randomizing via asking my coworker to pick a name off of the poll gets Sorsha my vote.

Dr.Wilgy voted for him and gave him two votes and the lead:
DrWilgy wrote:Voted Timmer to cull a random voter and to prevent ties.
timmer wrote:Da fuq? My first game back in the saddle in awhile? Et tu, Wilgy?

timmer wrote:So you random voted random voters, Wilgy? How's that high horse?
For timmer's outrage to be genuine, he would have to honestly believe that Wilgy was "goofing off and being all jokey" before sealing in timmer's second vote. Does he himself believe this?timmer wrote:I'm going to try not to get pissed off about this, but when someone spends the start of the game goofing off and being all jokey and then decides to single-handedly suddenly become the arbiter of proper play and choose to cull someone who random voted, because THAT isn't helpful, I call B.S.
Suddenly DrWilgy's contributions Day 1 are no longer goofing off and being all jokey- there's actual meaning there, which points to me being bad, timmer guesses.timmer wrote:But you didn't have to. It's the same odds, either way. Looking at the votes, and considering your banter in Day 0, I'm guessing you and Epig are teamies.

I don't have a lot in common with Dez Bryant today, but one thing I am not is bad.

One takeaway here is timmer's use of the future real conditional, which indicates he knew he wasn't going to get lynched.

Is that to imply that Wilgy didn't really find timmer worthy of his vote? Then why vote there? Why not leave it to chance? Why not wait fifteen minutes for zebra to answer your question before voting?DrWilgy wrote:I see now. Had one of the 4 I declared voteworthy earlier had a vote, I would've voted for them instead of you.timmer wrote:Oh, lol, I misread the poll, I thought Epig had had a vote against him. Well, there goes everything. Stellar play, Timmer. Really sniffed 'em out. Le sigh. Where's the lynch post...
Making mistakes and acknowledging those mistakes is a way to appear genuine.timmer wrote:My problems with Wilgy were based on inattention to detail on my part. I'm going to reset my pinions and start fresh.

I have no concrete opinion on Epig's push against indiglo. I've seen him pull early game gambits as both civ and baddie, so whether he has a power role and found something out re: indi, or is just trying to push to see what happens, i can't tell.
@Epig, is this pure gut? Are you asking us to follow you on this? What should we think of you, if you turn out to be wrong?

A civ with a one-shot kill targeted someone, and they know if they target the wrong guy they will die instead. What do they do? They leave a little nugget in the thread immediately before the night ends, just in case. MM wasn't even trying to be subtle about it. You and Wilgy are willfully ignoring the obvious. YOU got indiglo lynched. WILGY tried to get me lynched. The two of you have led every lynch so far, with B.S. reasons, and now you are trying to move the thread past MM pointing directly at you.
But since clearly MM targeted you and clearly he died, I can't vote you. So I will be voting for Wilgy today, barring an insane change in the available information to me.
And no, I won't tell you what i think of surviving the lynch, Wilgy, I'm not going to hand you that information.
It makes sense that MM pointed towards Epi, but MM's role suicided on civilian kills as well. You are clearly ignoring the fact that Epi could be a civ, and you are forcing this idea that he has to be the bad one.
Also, what is up with you classifying my vote as BS? I thought we already discussed this. Stop going in circles.
In regards to not witholding information, I'm Louise Thompson, vanilla civ.
The one exception to this can be answered in the following question. Zebra have you lied in any of your host's posts?
