I don't mind making a new thread. Should we continue calling it something no one knows the reasoning behind or change it to something our own?

With all due respect, fuck that.Dragon D. Luffy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2019 6:38 pmNo, it wasn't the sound, it was the cold, dry air entering my ears.
Not a fan of air conditioner in general. I've never had it in my home before, so I'm just used to the heat or to surviving with fans.
I'm okay with it in crowded rooms during really hot days. But people exaggerate it.
Me when it's hot:

Re: Walrus (Music Sharing Activity)
It's a political protest. So sincere becomes so "sin."nutella wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2019 11:44 pm 1st Place
Gentle Giant - So Sincere
Oh man this is delightfully weird. (Hard Epi read if that even needs to be said.) It's musically goofy and lyrically perplexing. Definitely somewhere between an acid trip, a disjointed dream, and a riddle. I'm really not sure what this is supposed to be, and that's kind of exactly what this cat was going for.

Procol Harum - A Salty Dog
This has Epi written all over it lol. I only know Procol Harum from that one Bach-y song they did that everyone knows, and this has a similar style with the lovely strings and the drums. It's nice, and yet somehow still sounds dated to my generationally-challenged ears. Maybe it's just the singer's voice, but I think the cinematic nature of it has a part as well. Thematically/lyrically this is obviously a winner, and musically it's very well put together.

We act civilly and take credit for what we submitted. It's no different than a game of Apples to Apples or Cards Against Humanity.Turnip Head wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2019 11:49 pm I like it. Log into The Walrus to send your links to the host. But then how will the host know who to give credit to when the time comes?
I think that gives the host a bit of fun as well, not knowing the curator he or she is digging the most.

Re: Walrus (Music Sharing Activity)
I thought of something regarding this during my walk today.nutella wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 2:06 am Now, I don't think the following is strictly required but I got the idea from Shad and it sounds ideal: while listening through, the host should somehow set aside and randomize the links for each category such that they don't know which is whose until the reveal, so that there's no bias or preconceptions based on who submitted what.
Why not set up one of those sockpuppet / dummy accounts for the sole purpose of users logging in to submit their playlists? Those who want to play can send a PM for the credentials so no outsider gets it.
