Well, thanks for turning what was supposed to be a simple, straightforward game into something complicated in a hurry.

This is why we can't have nice things.

Anyway, here are some thoughts:

I was shocked by all the thinking that I’d tweaked them for Andrew’s sake.

The Prologue poll was to determine who would be the tie-breaker. Andrew and Kate tied. I rolled a die, best two out of three. Andrew was odd, Kate was even. I rolled three 5s (Yahtzee!). So Andrew would decide all ties. This would be done by submitting a list. #1 is the person he deems most suspicious, and #14 would be the person he trusted most (presumably himself). He could update the list at any time. That’s how ties were handled. juliets resubmitted the list after she subbed in.

On Night 1, Turnip Head made S~V~S target birdwithteeth11. The original target was DharmaHelper. This understandably cemented the TH / thellama suspicion of S~V~S.

So this is where things got squirrely:

On Night 3, FZ. forced juliets and bea to vote for Kate. Juliets elected not to, and bea missed the vote. I tend to consider not following through on a vote curse tantamount to breaking a rule (imagine if someone who was silenced chose to speak in the thread anyway).

However, it would not have been fair to FZ. to modkill them, because it would have ended the game and FZ. would have lost.

So I decided the thread would get a taste of Super Burglekutt: All juliets’ and bea’s powers would go to FZ. permanently, without their knowledge.

That’s right. FZ. had a role block and controlled bea’s even Night kill.

And with great power, FZ. took down every remaining civilian except insertnamehere. FZ. was a Burglekutt in the richest sense: Determined to have peace without evildoers ruling the land, but not happy with others sharing the victory, haha.

Endgame: Kael's Death

bea has been lynched. She was General Kael.

There was a spy among the travelers as they approached the grey cold walls of Nockmaar. They decided it was DharmaHelper.

Meanwhile, Bavmorda's voice echoed throughout the land- something she had said a long time ago reverberated forth: "You're all pigs!"

DharmaHelper has been lynched. He was Fin Raziel.

birdwithteeth11 has been transformed into a pig again, butchered, and is to be had for breakfast at first light.

No one was frightened by MetalMarsh89's flexing by the moat in the outer bailey of Tir Asleen. That was not what scared them. By the time MetalMarsh89 turned, the Eborsisk was gnawing on both ends of the hapless traveler.

That was how they warned Sorsha when they saw the trolls raiding Tir Asleen. But she didn't listen. She stepped in troll dung, and while she was attempting to clean her show, the trolls leaped upon her.

The remaining travelers ascended a snowy mountain. Where it was too cold to say or do much of anything. Because of the snow. On the mountain.

Day 5: Did You See What She Did? She Stole Our Blackroot.

Kate had taken everyone’s blackroot, and the others had had enough. They picked her up and threw her into the lake, and poor Kate couldn’t swim. She couldn’t even stand up in it even though it was fairly shallow water.

Kate has been lynched. She was Willow Ufgood.

Night 3: Not a Woman?

Nobody knew who won the drinking contest because the losers had all passed out, and the winner was dancing and singing Nelwyn folk songs.

An angry patron named Lug brought the festivities to an end.

“Not a woman?” he bellowed. “Not a woman?”

Lug’s fist was ready to meet someone’s face, and he didn’t care whose. Unfortunately, one of the drunken revelers didn’t wake in time to avoid his wrath...

Night 3: Beer!

Happy with their good fortune (and seeking a place to dry off), the band found a tavern. Aside from the loutish chicken fights, the brawling, and the rank cooking of kitchen staff, they were glad to be in a warm place.

And there was beer there. To increase his sales, the barkeep challenged them to a drinking contest, and the last man standing would receive a prize.

The storm had battered the travelers since mid-afternoon, and they were drenched.

Night 2: The Crossroads

It was bizarrely quiet during the early morning trek.

The party did not realize why until the afternoon. Turnip Head was not among them.

Some speculated that he got scared and went back to the village, but others said that was impossible.

What they had not seen while they slept was someone cut Turnip Head’s throat and place his body in a gibbet, well-disguised among the rest of the condemned.

Night 2: Give Me Some Water, Peck

The Dikini Crossroads reeked of death, and there was good reason for that.

It was peppered with gibbets and cages. Some of the supposed dead within still moved.

One of them snatched a traveler into the air and pressed his face against the rusty iron bars. “Give me some water, you miserable little peck, or you die.”

In order to free his companion, someone opened the cage. The man fell out from the bottom and so dropped his captive.

He was a rough-looking sort, with missing teeth and an eye-patch.

“My friends! You have done the right thing! I have a reward for the person who freed me.”

The former prisoner looked around. In his thirstiness and anger, he had not seen who let him out.

“Who freed me?” he asked.

Day 2: Brownies! I Hate Brownies!

The road toward the Dikini crossroads was not peaceful, and where the fragrance of wildflowers should have pleased the travelers’ senses, the odor of impending death was among them.

thellama73 uttered his last words when someone decided that he was a lizard who should be taken out and drowned.

“Lizards? Who you calling lizards? Grrr! Grrr! Your mother was a lizard!”

The sad travelers engraved this on his pebble tombstone after burying him in a matchbox.
