I'm sure they had plenty of supplies and gardens and stuff inside the Academy, or at least a way to go get supplies. Way too many people just having a good time for them to be like, starving or struggling. I guess.

It's a sci-fi version of The Village, only the creatures are real and not a charade, and with characters exhibiting the least amount of common sense imaginable.

I liked it up until the "here's why you really can't leave town" explanation.

For what it was (a 10-episode mini series by M. Night) I felt the story flowed into those decisions just fine.
