Re: Arkham Mafia [SIGN UPS]
Tell your friends and help them learn Mafia.
Tell your enemies and get them lynched Day 1.
Either way is just fine by me.

There will be a Day 0, so your schedule shouldn't be much a hindrance.Bullzeye wrote:If we do, I won't be around until at least Monday, possibly Tuesday. @epi - well, I'm foolishly tempted. But realistically... this is a very bad time for me to be signing up for mafia games.

Excellent to have you. If you have any questions about any of the mechanics, be sure to let me or Long Con know.Nerolunar wrote:Hey everyone. I'm Nerolunar, a new player here. I know Sig from another forum, and figured I would play a nice game of mafia with him and you guys! I have played the werewolf variant irl a few times, and one time on another board.
The setup here looks very promising, though also very confusing. I will have lots of free time in week seven, so hopefully the game will start then. See you all in Gotham

Re: Arkham Mafia [SIGN UPS]
As MM said, we still need 14 players, and I have no intention of cutting roles. LC and I have worked too hard on them to cut. We will begin as soon as 14 more people decide they want to have a good time.LoRab wrote:Is there a general sense of when this might start? I'm going to be in Israel from February 14 to March 1 (with several jaunts to Palestine). If it starts then, which seems likely, I'll be a bit less active than normal at first. Kind of like any time I'm at a convention, but more so because I am also traveling, will have more limited internet because of limited phone data, and time change.
Pretty much just saying this now so it's before the game and I can say it without a role.
Also, beyond excited for this trip.

Arkham Mafia [SIGN UPS]

Arkham Mafia
A Gotham City game for 31 players.
Wayne Manor (3)Even with the two crime families defeated, Gotham wouldn’t be safe. No. For each dead Arkham inmate, Wayne Manor gains 12%. For each crime family member out, including corrupted cops, Wayne Manor gains a 5%. For each dead member of the GCPD, Wayne Manor incurs a 2% penalty. For each dead member of Wayne Manor, there is an 8% penalty. Wayne Manor wins dead or alive by having 100% by endgame.

Bruce Wayne
During the Day, Bruce Wayne conducts business. At Night, he is Batman. *Secrets*

Alfred Pennyworth
The butler knows the identity of Master Bruce.

Tim Drake
Using his acrobatic skills, Robin can prevent his own lynch once, and can once prevent the lynch of someone else. When he rescues someone else, he will use his detective skills that Night to determine the identity of the person he saved.

Gotham Police (13)
Must defeat the two crime families and be alive.
Commissioner James Gordon
The Commissioner will send a message to the thread at Night. If three cops are dead, and both Gordon and Batman are alive, the two gain BTSC.
Detective Harvey Bullock
Bullock tracks or kills someone each Night. He has just one kill. Better make it a good one.
Renee Montoya
Takes a person into custody each Night. That person cannot post or vote the next Day.
Cops (10)
Each cop will be randomly assigned one of the Arkham Asylum escapees, whom that individual cop will need dead to win in addition to defeating the two crime families.

The Falcone Family (2)
Has BTSC
Needs the Maroni Family and GCPD dead.
Carmine Falcone
Buys off one cop (choosing a number 1-10) on the first even Night. This cop joins the Falcone family, gaining BTSC. The family needs the cop's Arkham inmate dead too.
Victor Zsasz
Kills on odd Nights. Blocks on even Nights. The bought cop inherits the kill first.

The Maroni Family (2)
Has BTSC
Needs the Falcone Family and GCPD dead.
Salvatore Maroni
Buys off one cop (choosing a number 1-10) on the first odd Night. This cop joins the Maroni family, gaining BTSC. The family needs the cop's Arkham inmate dead too.
Tony Zucco
Kills on even Nights. Blocks on odd Nights. The bought cop inherits the kill first.
Rupert Thorne (1)

Rupert Thorne
An independent crime boss who has little strength as yet, Thorne will decide on any given Night whom he wants to help. He will gain BTSC as a consultant with that person (and any co-conspirators) and share that person’s win condition.
Arkham Asylum (10)

The Joker
Anyone who targets The Joker will be made insane by the toxic flower on his lapel. He needs Batman, Gordon, Falcone, and Maroni dead. *Secrets*

The Penguin
As a powerful informant, The Penguin learns the role of the person he votes for, and may blackmail his victim. The victim has a choice to either do whatever The Penguin says or have his or her role sent to a rival person. The Penguin wins by surviving.

Catwoman
An adept thief, Selena Kyle steals one person’s win condition. If her target ever votes for her, she becomes paranoid, and must choose someone else to steal from next.

The Scarecrow
Dr. Jonathan Crane uses his fear toxin to cause people to dread those they might otherwise trust. Using this toxin on one target per Night, that target will need the role the Scarecrow names dead in order to win. Crane can never target the same person more than once. If The Scarecrow is lynched, then he gives up the antidote and those new win conditions no longer apply. Over half of the living population must be hallucinating for The Scarecrow to be successful.

The Riddler
Edward Nygma has questions that need answering. *Secrets*

Two Face
Two Face takes a hostage every Night. If someone targets Two Face with any negative action, a coin is flipped. Heads means that he takes it. Tails means that his hostage takes it. Harvey Dent wins with civilians on odd phases. Two Face wins with Mafia on even phases.

Poison Ivy
Dr. Pamela Isley, ecologist and terrorist, can poison anyone each Night. A poisoned person will die unless he or she discovers the antidote. *Secrets*

Bane
Bane has a convoluted history with Batman. On Nightfall of the third phase, Bane must decide if he wants to support or oppose Batman. This choice will affect his win condition, which will be a secret until then even unto him. *Secrets*

Mr. Freeze
Dr. Victor Fries is researching a way to save his beloved wife, Nora from a terminal illness. Renee Montoya has the right genetics for him to save Nora. Using his freeze ray, Mr. Freeze blocks up to two targets each Night. Montoya must be frozen twice for him to win. If Montoya dies before Mr. Freeze completes his task, he goes cold, and becomes last man standing, killing each Night.

Ra’s al Ghul
Longevity and rejuvenation are his, the controller of the Lazarus Pit. If Ra’s al Ghul (The Head of the Demon) is lynched, then anyone who has been slain at Night can be dipped in the Lazarus Pit, receiving full vitality. Ra’s al Ghul, is also of the League of Shadows, which is testing him: Ra’s al Ghul will select four roles by the end of Day 0 that must be eliminated by the end.
