Re: Most Recently Played Tabletop Game
I was thinking it might be fun to host a game of Not Alone here on The Syndicate. It can accommodate up to seven players, and all it would require is people PMing me their actions each phase. Is there any interest in that?

I refuse to purchase any game that renders replaying it impossible.

Not Alone is excellent. Highly recommended. Plays in 30 minutes once everybody knows what they are doing.Scotty wrote: ↑Wed Jun 06, 2018 6:12 pmMy gf had a similar experience when we played pandemic. I don’t think the characters differ enough to combat the quarterbacking problem. It’s like...there’s only so many ways the characters can act, and can be run by 1 person simulating quite easilyCharlie Blackmon wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 9:42 pm I finally bought Pandemic.
Meh.
It's not a bad game, but the mechanics seem rather pedestrian to me.
Luckily I bought Not Alone too.
We haven't played it yet, but from my understanding of the mechanics, it's going to be a blast.
Never tried Not Alone tho. Let me know how that plays

Risk is somewhat luck, like most games.JaggedJimmyJay wrote:I. Hate. Risk.
Everyone's favorite strategy game is really a game of luck and nothing but luck. I'll stop there before it becomes a rant.
I love board games though. One of my favorites is Formula 1, for its simplicity and speed. I quite like cooperative board games like Atlantis Rising and Forbidden Desert. It's typical but I've always loved Monopoly too.
To answer the title: Star Wars: Edge of the Empire roleplaying game. It's okay, I like the unique dice system (much preferred with a computer program though over actual dice -- a lot easier to figure out). I've also played a crapload of D&D in the Forgotten Realms setting primarily.
