Probably the difference is that a few people in the thread know him or know him through me. Also, he's a bit of a legacy player, as in like 2nd generation, if that were to exist in mafia.

Re: Lawyers, Guns and Money- [DAY 3]
Well does anyone really SEEM wolfy? That's the whole trick to being a wolf. Golden snowed the everloving hell out of me last game. Far more than I can even explain here, and I've know him for about 15 years?Dennis wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 9:53 pmThat's what I was saying; it's not these posts in particular, it's more in general he feels townie. And it's not like I'm 100 percent sure, he could still be wolf. I just don't see any baddie intentions.Kate wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 9:46 pmFor me, it's getting to the point where it's a numbers game. Of those people we pared it down and the consensus ended on him.Dennis wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 9:35 pmWhy would Soneji defend Neon with a after she got called out for adding herself in her towncore? Especially bringing into the equation of different site cultures doesn't make any sense if Soneji is wolf and Neon is town, when it seemed like (to me) that Golden was suspicious of Neon.Soneji wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 3:16 am The logical assumption is that someone includes themselves among their towncore by default so it's unnecessary and potentially performative to list themselves, because either they know they're town from their rolecard, or they know they need to fake being town from their rolecard. One doesn't normally include themselves in readslist as they cannot make a read on their own alignment which is a known factor to them, and either they know they're town or need to fake it. The need for anti-town to fake being town is what subconsciously can cause them to want to project "I AM TOWN" at every opportunity, hence listing themselves in towncores/townreads lists. It is common enough for actual townies, especially from certain site cultures, to list themselves in such things so it's not a hard wolf tell, but it can be a soft tell when alongside other performative town projection examples.
This is just shutting down conversations that were off topic.
This is analysis and I like it.Soneji wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 11:00 am The first group is rightly calling for accountability from the Wilgy voters, while the second has every reason to not want to rock the boat. Dennis is a newbie, what narrative is he going to try and control? Plus several players rushed to proclaim him townie for his EoD. Seanzie just narrowly escaped the noose, of course they'd avoid a thunder dome. SVS does look good from how they explained their vote, and how they wanted a tie.
I don't think a wolf would bring this up, because why explain your strategy to the entire thread?Soneji wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 9:31 am I'm still reading through parts of the thread but I want to bring forth a thought on the set-up that could certainly have an effect on wolves mindset in this game. I didn't see wolves win condition listed anywhere but assuming it's to reach vote parity, or even just killing all town, then so long as all three members are alive then they win as soon as there are only five town members left due to being able to vote silence two townies each night. At that point town can only tie elim votes, so has no path to winning. So more than normal wolves will want to ensure all members make it to endgame, and keeping the Lawyer alive is top priority as even with just one other wolf they lower the number needed for vote parity. Bussing is very unlikely, and hard defenses of packmates very likely.
I dunno, it's just all of their posts in general I agree with but these were a few examples. Maybe in the 3rd one I'm being convinced by them explaining I don't know what I'm doing still but other than that it's just everything. Now please answer my question.
I like your post and I can see why he appears civvie, I don't see anything overtly civ tbh other than your last point. That post does look townie talking about what could be wolf strategy but it's not unheard of. In face our host Gman did it to me in the last game regarding an OT green curse that the baddies controlled and that HE placed on me.

If there are wolves on ot, a very good reason for that would be that they want the civ cred for eliminating a baddie.

I believe it was because there was an even that had every civ start the game ay -1. Therefore it would result in a tie between all the baddies and then randomized.

I was trying to see if you felt that his behavior would have been different WITH the added pressure of a baddie chatroom. Youre essentially reversing my point.Dennis wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 5:03 pmYeah... that's my point. You know as well as I do Jack wasn't a very willing participant. Having you, who is in practically everyone's towncore, attest that Jack's behavior wasn't influenced by his role would help prove Neon's towniness, no?Kate wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 5:00 pmI don't feel that neon's behavior has been wolfy. Help me out here.Neon wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 4:54 pm Allow me to explain my frustration a bit
Ever since my wolf game I've been getting called a wolf no matter how hard I obv town. Okay I'm a good wolf I'll say it but that doesn't mean blindly ignore the behavior in front of you. The paranoia is frustrating. At least when Mac said what he said in that quote there was a reason for it I eod things that were decidedly anti town. I haven't here and still I'm being pushed.
But than I'm not even being pushed for MY play I'm being pushed because a new player who didn't like the game subbed out and Sean has decided that automatically makes them a wolf. I don't think you should be allowed to read into anyone but my play. I think subs should be judged on their track record. Sean has spent the last page and a half saying Jack behaved like a new wolf. The fixation on Jack is frustrating especially because I think that's all Sean can say because their reasons for pushing me on my play were weak and they don't hold water. So now I'm forced to defend myself against the mental of a person I am not because Sean is trying to read into their mental state and it is a physical impossibility for me to defend myself on that and Sean knows it.
To be clear: I think if Jack had a baddie role, he would have tried harder because of the pressure of teammates in a chat. Therefore, I find it unlikely Jack was bad.

The last day phase actually made me want to hurl and also made it so I do not want to even post in the thread. I am *trying* to get past all the awkwardness/weirdness/meaness in this supposed game thread. We are all people with feelings this game can get heated ---------why add to it?
Takes one 'fn second to be kind people.
I will now finish re-reading make my post and call this done.
Questions/posts I noticed so far:
Scotty said I seemed aggressive which I find funny as I am imv. What exactly in a post can you point me at to show my "aggression"?
Neon - welcome but you obv haven't read as much as you say you have. I have never been on a wagon nor voted in this game yet. Had you actually read the thread (and not just my posts but the hosts as well) you would have seen I self voted D 1 bc of a robbery at my work. I host voted D 2 bc of the Host punishment of self voting was to lose my vote. But actually if you read any of my posts I clearly state suspicions. Sorry if you don't like my style and want to lynch me for being imv I am used to it. Happens all the time on this site. However I do like you info then analysis of the voting thus far. So thanks for doing the leg work on that.

That's the thing, he is no stranger to discord so if he had an actual chat with people in it do you think he'd avoid it or try to play along?Dennis wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 3:37 pmI don't think he could handle the pressure of the game. Re: Lawyers, Guns and Money- [DAY 3]
It is not even that I really suspect him so much, it's that I can't get my head around how he's playing. I do see thread evidence that he's not bad. Maybe it's like Sloonei in the last game, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. And I was wrong the whole game.
Also keep in mind I've got rsv or some similar virus so I'm thinking through a sick fog brain and playing exclusively on my phone (which I do a lot anyway though.)

@Dennis what do you think about your wombmate? Think he couldn't handle the pressure of the game or couldn't handle the pressure of being bad?

I was hoping you'd have something deeper than that. I tend to agree that even if seanzie is right about neon, the theory of 'quiet wolfchat' isn't right.
I don't agree with the part of Sean's case that is about Jack. Doesn't ring true to me. I'm more interested in his gut read of neon than that.
[VOTE: Kate] aubergine
You sheeped onto the sabi vote and didn't really give reasons.
You haven't voted today all day even when saying you suspected splints.
You haven't paid attention on Seanzie at all... you just keep saying you don't understand his posts even while explaining one of them basically perfectly. I don't get the vibe you don't understand them, I get the sense you're preserving an option.
When Sean said he gutread Neon as bad something clicked for me.... I voted Neon to see what it did for you.
It caused you to accuse Sean of derailing, and to say 'wheres the real golden gone'.
I'm here, and I'm coming for you.

Golden, seriously if you REALLY think this or you're just looking for my reaction, look me over again. I would NEVER be this off the cuff as a mafia. I haven't been mafia in over 10 years. I seriously doubt I could act like this as a mafia in my first shot at it.

I've been saying splints the whole day period, it certainly wasn't a reaction to Sean. Splints being bad doesn't mean neon is.![]()
