RIPIYWG Chaindeath. Birdwithteeth11 will certainly miss your delightful 3rd-person posts.

Yeah, I find that really interesting that FH was targeted for a kill. It makes me wonder if she might be on to something. But I'm hoping maybe she can shed some light on the situation, and why someone would want her dead.

Re: [NIGHT 4] Avant-Garde Mafia 2

Yeah, I'm honestly not quite sure what to make of DH's vast amount of.....data (for lack of a better word). I mean, I get that you're trying to establish voting patters based on timing and groups of people, but maybe I'm not quite catching it. Is there any way you could elaborate on it a bit more? I'm still a bit confuzzled.

Or better yet, are there any specific groups/people in there that appear to be worth focusing on? That's where my main confusion lies.

I mean, what else have you accused him of besides just being overly aggressive? I'm referring to this bit specifically:

Dunno, as I said I'm not quite willing to buy into the impending Droopwagon, probably exclusively because you seem so determined to get people on board.
DH, Maybe I'm just put off by how incredibly agressive you've been all game, but I am hesitant to trust anything you say as genuine in nature. You seem to be very strong arm-ish, which I usually associate with baddies.
And then you make light of the situation here:

Re: [DAY 4] Avant-Garde Mafia 2

I've gone back and re-read on DH, rabbit, and INH. Of those 3, INH strikes me as the most suspicious one, but my suspicions of Vomps will trump that for today. I feel better putting that one off rather than waiting on Vomps to maybe eventually say something that will change my mind. He still has yet to do that.

Re: [DAY 4] Avant-Garde Mafia 2

While I am certainly leaning towards Vompatti for this lynch, I am of course open to looking at others. I know INH and DH are two names that keep jumping out. I can kind of understand with DH because to me, other than his one semi-long post on Day 1 about rabbit (or was it Day 2? Looks like I'll have to go back and check), all he's really doing is pushing the "nobody wants to listen to me, woe is me" line. Not sure if it makes him bad, but it's worth re-reading. INH I don't really get either so I will go back and read up on those two again.

Also, I think it's definitely worthwhile that those of us who haven't voted consider other options besides Vompatti. While I am fine with a Vompatti lynch, I'm a bit worried with how the last few lynches have been "sure votes" and turned out not to be. Not to mention outside of name-calling here and there, I haven't seen a whole lot in terms of credible theories on anyone else yet. And I don't want us to be back at square 1 if Vomps gets lynched and ends up being a civ.

Lots of linki: Whoa. Sometimes you guys post way too often after each other. At least I don't have to go looking for the one post from DH I was referring to.

True. I've been skimming back on rabbit a lot lately and while he started out with some more tangible statements, I'm not ready to declare him bad yet after a few "No U"s. Not to mention he's one of the few people I can almost never read. But it's worth keeping an eye on him for the time being.

More linki: Just posting this anyway to get past all the linki.

Definitely need to read up more on INH though. I don't recall him being snarky or avoiding questions.

Re: [DAY 4] Avant-Garde Mafia 2

Just finished going over the final results of the poker game (the last 2-3 hands were a bit more interesting because my gf was over for a bit so I had to juggle talking with her and playing poker). Thanks to everyone who played, it was a lot of fun everyone! Also, special thanks to Droopy for being willing to give me so many chips from my all-in call! :D Haha

I know I am definitely still suspicious of Vomps, but I have to be at work in 9 hours so I am going to get to bed. I get off at 2 (or 4 if they ask me to stay for a full 8 hours) so I will have plenty of time tomorrow afternoon and evening to read more before making a final decision.

Re: [DAY 3] Avant-Garde Mafia 2

I have to leave for work in the next few minutes, and we've been so busy lately that I probably won't get a chance to vote while I'm there. Right now I am torn in between Vompatti and Droopy.

On the one hand, Vompatti keeps plugging away on the rabbit bandwagon (even with the quote from DH you posted, I'm not sure I fully buy your reasoning) and even voted for him for "personal reasons". That looks suspicious enough as it is.

On the other hand, Droopy has been very inconsistent, I'm not buying his voting for rabbit just for his "aggressiveness" or however it was he worded it. A lot of what he's been saying seems like a last-ditch attempt to save himself, and I think it's entirely possible he could be one of bea's teammates.

While I'm fine with either option, I originally felt and still feel more strongly about Droopy, so he is getting my vote this time.

Votes Droopy

Well it can be hard to defend yourself against: 1) random votes, and 2) people voting against him for "personal reasons".

I was starting to feel pretty deadset on voting for Droopy today for the reasons I had mentioned, (I'm glad FH was nice enough to pull up the quotes I had been too lazy/tired to go back and check on last night. Thanks for that!) but to me, this screams having some ulterior motive behind it. Now I'm going to have to think and look back to decide which of the two of you are getting my vote.

Honestly, I'd prefer if you say what you're thinking of. If you really are a civvie, I wish you would. It could end up saving you and it might make me change my mind on you if it's good enough.

One of the biggest things I've learned from mafia is even when you are in the crosshairs, be it as a civvie or baddie, is that you never, ever give up until you are actually lynched. Do everything you can if you think it will contribute to your survival and possibly winning! :)

WHAT THE?!?!?...

Honestly, you remind me of my first few mafia games. I made similar mistakes where I was jumping all over the place with how I was going to vote, and then way out in left field, which got me lynched (I was the civvie both times I did this). The mafia term for that is "waffling". And even if you are a civvie, what you are doing is not optimal for your survival.

I'm now really strongly leaning toward Droopy for this lynch.

Linki: Yeah, I bet there's some kind of secret that is involved here. And given that the majority of secrets are for baddie roles...
You say you did similar things in your first few games and you were a civvie, but you are strongly leaning towards Droopy this lynch without giving him the benefit of the doubt and admitting that perhaps he is a civvie like you were?
I never said whether or not I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt or not. I'm simply pointing out why him waffling so much would make him look like a really big target for this lynch. I learned it the hard way, and it's entirely possible he might too. That being said though, he has said things that have genuinely pinged me regardless of that, and I still think it could be more than just a beginner's mistake. That and the "secrets" comment don't sit right with me and that's why I think he could actually be a baddie.

I could still end up voting for someone else. All I was saying is that Droopy is the person most likely to get my vote at this point.

Re: [DAY 3] Avant-Garde Mafia 2

Alright, here we go.

Droopy: Didn't really grasp my attention until the current day, when he suddenly switched to talking about going after low-posters. It always looks suspicious when somebody starts getting some attention and then decides to go focus on low posters. Seems like a diversion attempt if you ask me. You get one :eye: for now.

Vomps: Votes for rabbit for "personal reasons" and then refuses to talk about it. Either he was forced to vote for rabbit (in which case he is off my radar for now), he's being his normally odd self (which, while normally funny outside of mafia, does not look good in this game at all), or there is something else going on we don't know about (which means he's most likely a baddie). I would say the second option is the least likely one for now. You get two :eye: :eye: for now.

SVS: The only thing odd I can find against SVS is based on what rey and Trice have said. How they feel that she has made comments that apparently aren't normal things she'd say. To me, it's almost the exact opposite of when I caught her as a baddie in Sesame Street Mafia. Her reasoning became more and more inconsistent and illogical the more I pointed out the flaws in her arguments. I'll keep it in mind for now, but she's mostly off the hook unless more people start to feel there's something off with her. I have a hell of a time reading her anyway lol. We'll go with half an :eye: at most.

rabbit: There is definitely a rabbit bandwagon going on here. I don't see anything that screams "baddie rabbit" here. Mostly I see people like Droopy, chaindeath, and Bunny Killer latching onto said bandwagon either because he's "very aggressive" (which seems like civvie rabbit to me) or as an attempt to dissuade from a bea lynch. If rabbit was a baddie, I think he would be hiding in the shadows much more and wouldn't be as outspoken as he has been. He's off my radar.

Dharmahelper: Seems like he was the first person to bring up the rabbit train. And as I have already stated, I don't see much validity to it at this point. However, he also seems like he's trying to dissuade himself from it which to me could read as a baddie tactic. Really though idk. He's one of the hardest people to read for me. So I guess for now I'll keep an :eye: on him, but I'm totally on the fence with him.

That narrows my field down to the people jumping on the rabbit bandwagon (DH probably excluded for now though) so Rabbit Killer, Droopy, and Vomps.

Lots of linki. Of course, this is what happens when I leave my browser open for 2 1/2 hours and forget about this post lol. Will read through some of the other comments.

DH linki: Yeah, I still think the DFaraday comment was a bit strange, but not enough to warrant further investigation. And as I already said, the way she is acting looks like civvie SVS to me.

Right now, I'd say my biggest two suspicions are Droopy and Vomps. A bit lower on the radar are SVS, DH, and rabbit. Wow, 3 people that ping me almost every game regardless of their role; what a surprise.

I'm going to go back and re-read everything from those people today and give my opinion on each one. Hopefully I can narrow down my suspicions somewhat.

BIH bea! Even though I still <3 you.

Honestly, after catching up, I would probably have voted for either bea or Vomps. To me, it really looked like bea had let something slip that she knew more about the NKs than she put on. I wasn't leaning as strongly with Vomps, because it is possible his vote had been forced. So it probably would have been bea in the end.

Sorry again for missing the vote Alex! I feel terrible... :(

Ture. Also your thing for the gril with pretty hands it getting out of control k.

Somehow I stated I was voting for #8, but I never actually did in the poll. Fixing that now.

Re: [NIGHT 1] Avant-Garde Mafia 2

RIP Leech! :rip: A shame that we lost such an awesome composer. :(

I'm kind of leaning with Trice's logic here. I'm going to go with 8 because it's my favorite number and like he said, it is probably best to keep moving as much as possible.

Re: [DAY 1] Avant-Garde Mafia 2: The Ultimate Dimensional Ba

Leech, I can understand why you voted for yourself since I've self-voted on Day 1 before. But as many other people have said, it doesn't come off as a very civvie move. And unfortunately I think it's going to cost you dearly.

Since it seems like a given and Leech will end up getting lynched, I'm going to go with one of my other suspicions and vote for Boomslang. His wanting to look so closely at the Earth portal voters still bothers me a lot.

Votes Boomslang

Sorry it wasn't really clear, I meant that as a continuation of my previous post, so I was directing that at Dharma

Re: [DAY 1] Avant-Garde Mafia 2: The Ultimate Dimensional Ba

As of right now these are my top 3 suspicions after reading back, in no particular order:

First off is Boomslang. His wanting to focus on the Earth portal voters doesn't make any sense to me. I can't remember if I mentioned this last night or not (I was really tired when I was posting) but I don't see what the point is of putting so much focus into a Day 0 vote when we've only gotten to Day 1 so far. Later on in the game it might mean something, but right now it just feels like grasping at straws.

Second is Leech. I don't like the way he voted for himself and then just left before the discussion over that started. I know some people will vote for themselves on Day 1 because they aren't sure which way the wind is blowing yet. I've done it a few times myself so I can relate. But I always responded to questions about it and tried to justify myself, regardless of if the justification was good or not. And yes, I've done it as both a civvie and a baddie. And regardless of the supposed "secrets" he could have, that alone won't keep me from voting for him.

Lastly is INH. I remember the posting challenge in Spider-Man that DH brought up, and that one reeked of something fishy. The way he completed it so quickly and didn't really post anything of substance (even though it was technically on-topic) strikes me as not being genuine.

I would like to hear more from these 3 people justifying their actions. Because whichever one gives the worst defense is probably the one I will vote for, as right now I would be equally comfortable with voting for any of these 3.

See, THIS is how you end a posting challenge! :P

Re: [DAY 1] Avant-Garde Mafia 2: The Ultimate Dimensional Ba

I'm not very good at a lot of these multiple sentence posts either. But then again, I've had times where I didn't follow Alex's challenges or forgot about them and he has some rather nasty punishments if you don't obey his challenges. Although since this is my second post, I figure I'm safe for now. Plus I need to go to bed anyway so I will make up the third one sometime tomorrow. Which is when I will also start looking more closely at the game thread and see what pops out as being suspicious.

Re: [DAY 1] Avant-Garde Mafia 2: The Ultimate Dimensional Ba

Well I wanted to post sooner, but I was out with friends for the afternoon and evening so so much for that one.

@Boomslang: I don't really see much of a point at calling people out for voting a certain option when it's a prologue/intro vote. Unless it happens to affect something later on in the game or later voting patterns, I don't put too much stock into a Day 0 or Day 1 vote usually. Unless something out of the ordinary happens, which in this game is entirely possible. I expect a lot of BTS stuff to occur that we won't find out about until after the face or once the game is over.

The one near the Earth has it obvious Pros...being for sure and all. Herman the Planet Smasher escaped through a portal on Earth.

THe one near Pluto sounds intriguing. If it's not there, at least we won't be instantly vaporized by the power of th eSUn.

I dunno yet....
Well like I said, I wouldn't try to read too much into it. Just think about which one you think sounds safest and vote for it. Avant 1 was so zany and unpredictable that I expect almost everything in here to not be what it seems.

Granted, Avant 1 was also a recruitment game so that made it even weirder, but still...

Linki: Exactly bea. You know he's going to f**k with our heads. :WTF:

Re: Avant-Garde Mafia 2: The Ultimate Dimensional Battle

I honestly don't know which option is the best one. Avant 1 scarred me with the whole "OMG THE PRESENTS ARE BOMBS" thing so I will probably be super paranoid about this game.

As for all the different options, I get the feeling that none of them are very good ones ultimately, but I would much rather go with the sure option than the "supposed" options.

*Votes for the portal at Earth's former location*
