This is the last thing I will post before I get lynched.
I was genuinely distracted and genuinely couldn't get my mind into this game. I think it was because I got really far behind around the holidays and was never able to fully catch up. I promise when The Tournament of Champions rolls around, I will do a much better job and be much more active then. Sorry again!

I went ahead and voted myself as well. Honestly, it's probably better I'm gone given that I never got my head in this game at all. Good luck to the civvies and get some baddies!

Re: WWE MAFIA - Night 6
RIP Hedge!
Honestly, after what I just caused, and given I'm not around that much, I think it would be in the best interest of all civs if I was lynched the following day. Honestly, it would probably be a blessing for me because it would be one less game I'd have to keep up with. Sorry I'm being super-lame about it, but I guess that's the way it rolls sometimes. Hopefully with The Tournament of Champions I'll be able to get my head moreso into it.

Re: WWE MAFIA - Day 6
Honestly, I was just making a vote for the heck of it. For whatever reason, I've been completely unable to mentally absorb anything in this game (or in Shawshank). I feel like everytime I come back to read, I missed either a lynch or a night period ending. I'm not sure what's going on with me, but I just haven't been able to get my mind into this game at all. I'll keep trying, but I would possibly be willing to be replaced because of it. Although if I get lynched today, I guess that solves that problem as well.

The bolded is a realization I eventually came to after playing for awhile. I would much rather get all my thoughts and feelings out on the table. That way they can be examined if I end up getting killed that night.kneel4justice wrote: I'm sorry, I don't understand why you're not talking at night? It is just not my style and I am not used to it. I believe if we have the opportunity to talk we should not waste time. I guess I just don't understand. I would feel comfortable answering anything, night or day, as townie.

Nice observation there! I might have to reassess my feeling on Hedge.Epignosis wrote:John Cena – No matter the odds, Cena always makes a comeback. He will survive the first attempt on his life. (SECRET)
Edge – One of the most underhanded, devious wrestlers of all time. Edge will slip out of the first attempt on his life. He sends in the kill for his team every even night.
Triple H – Triple H is the Cerebral Assassin, and strives to be the best in the world…at any cost. HHH will kill a player every night. He will survive the first lynch and night kill attempt on him. HHH must be the last man standing to win.
Odds are you're one of these three. I don't like those odds for you, no.

I could have said, "Thank you to whoever blocked Hulk, protected me, or in any other way prevented my death." However, I thought a simple thank you would be enough.

Well, I don't feel comfortable voting for MP or SVS because I don't feel I have a good handle on it so far this game. And in the interest of not spreading the vote out even more, I'm not going to go with MR. Instead I'll go with Lizzy. She's one of the few players I could see being brazen enough to hint at being the SK and subtly mention it at some point in the thread.

And yeah, it definitely still puts AP in the "most likely civvie" category, but raises the odds that he could be a baddie.

And to the game itself. First, the players that came to play on Ksite told us you don't talk as much. What a load of crapThere's too much to catch up. I don't know if I can do it.
Second, I wanted to say something about "random" votes. If there is someone here who actually throws all the names in the hat, stirs and picks one, I'll give them a hundred bucks. I don't believe anyone really randomizes their vote. At most, you do Eny meeny miny mo (or however it is you're supposed to spell it). My vote for Elo was because her "random" vote for Mongoose seemed like a very convenient way to vote for someone who already had votes with having to pay the consequences later. Hey, it was random, it's not her fault a civ was lynched, right? Besides, if you don't think any of the players is scummy at this point, why not just take those who don't have a vote at all and randomize between them? What if her random pick fell on the person with the most votes and she ended up lynching a civ? How is that better than voting for a person who's done even the smallest thing to pinge you, like you call it? Maybe she did do eny meeny. But randomizing makes less sense to me than giving the vote to someone who seems a little off to you and you want to give him the BOTD but you feel you need to take a step and vote. At least you're doing something. Sorry, I don't like randomizing, I don't like self voting and I don't like switching votes.

I don't really like the bolded part. I don't think that type of argument holds any merit here considering that it's a different site and different rules.Matahari wrote:Dude, many ppl share your feelings but I find it a bit hypocritical coming from someone who has the right not to vote at all. The problem comes down to hating lynching a civvie on day 1. You might have a ping on someone, but it's really hard to actually get a baddie on day 1. I really like the way your site handles day 1; because it solves the problem of not being sure.FZ. wrote: Ahaaaaaaaa. You people are way to advanced for meStill, my reasons stand. If you think someone is even a little suspicious, vote for them so if you're wrong, you voted based on what you believe. If you do it randomly, you have a really high chance of lynching a civ as well. And again, when you say you voted randomly, it's easy to avoid the suspicions later.
But we have to vote, so I don't hold it against people who choose to do what they feel the most comfortable with.
I might be saying this just because FZ's logic is the same as mine. But that one part of your quote doesn't seem like a valid debate or issue.

I would keep it in mind too. I mean, that's a 1 in 3 chance of him being a baddie. I agree, and especially based on his behavior thus far, Occam's Razor says it is more likely AP is civvie than baddie. Of course, I will constantly entertain the other possibilities, but you've proven a good point here.
So, what are your current thoughts as to how everything went down yesterday; have you formulated anything concrete yet?
As for yesterday, I think the fact that the votes were spread out was mainly because, while there was a lot of talk, I felt like we had quite a bit of fluff too. So we didn't really nail much down yesterday. At least I don't feel like I did; I can't speak for anyone else. So in all honesty, it's probably good that we didn't have a lynch yet.
I'm hoping that if we can avoid a nightkill tonight, it would be even more advantageous in trying to lay some more solid groundwork.

And yes, I agree that a civ lynch has less impact on the game. The chances are SO high we will lynch a civ on Day 1 (I mean so, so high. 80%?) that I feel like a no-lynch is a nice respite. A chance to take a deep breath before being plunged in to icy cold water again for another day of The Tumble Cycle. (I wish I could narrate this for you).
We get one more day to get our bearings. Cause then if we do lynch a baddie on Day 2, we have enough info for the intel we gained from it to actually be meaningful and helpful.
So no, I don't think it's too helpful; it is factual. But in Mafia even undisputable Math Facts can have a slant

First off, yay game! Sorry I wasn't around on Day 0 at all! I just checked my role PM last night and I was very tired and worked at 5 AM this morning (bleh) so catching up now.
So far, there definitely feels like a divide in playstyle between the KSiters (I kind of figured they would be much more aggressive) and the Syndicaters (much more laid back in comparison). I think it will be interesting to see the dynamics that emerge (and have already started to) because of it.
Sorsha's "I am a civvie" comment pinged me slightly at first, but the more I've read, the less it's meant anything to me. So I'll let that one go.
I think it was an interesting catch by FZ on Mongoose coming off as "sweet" or whatever word applies best to that situation. Something to keep in mind.
