How do I counter this? With a Bioshock Infinite soundtrack.

But if what I've heard from other parents is true, you just dug your own grave with the Frozen soundtrack.

And well done USA in the football.
Yeah I was hoping the US would get out of their group. I want them to go far just because I think it's hilarious that even they're better than us. A lot of people here think Americans don't even know what football is yet they've got out of their group (and will probably reach QFs at least) and England couldn't even win a match!
I figured we had a chance to make it out of our group. But I would be totally shocked if we made it to the QFs. This team isn't good enough to beat Belgium IMO. I'd have more confidence if our back 4 were better honestly. And even if we do sneak by Belgium, we'd probably have face France in the QF, and then I would just give up on life lol

I have only been quiet because I haven't yet re-read Bullz or you in light of what Epig and llama are saying. So me being quiet is just because I don't yet have anything to say. I'm not going to blindly follow Epig and llama - I need to see something for myself.
Also, the fact that llama and Epig were willing to vote more than 24 hours before the deadline does concern me a bit. I'll spend some time on it tomorrow before I make up my mind on it.

Personally, my mind isn't made up on Bullz or anyone yet. And I'm not sure yet if I buy the whole thing yet about the Mayor working with either the Goblins or Smaug. Or if Epig and llama are even right about Splints and Bullz yet.
I think this vote is going to end up being really important though. Because worst case scenario is we lynch a civ, 2 more people die tonight if both kills go through, and then we're down to 8 players. So I need more time to read over things and decide.

Unfortunately, no. I can't really say much more than that. And like I said, it's a theory I think could pan out well to hurt Smaug if I'm right. So ultimately, you have to decide if you're comfortable with going along with my idea or not. Re: The Hobbit Mafia: Day 9
If I'm a baddie, and decide to throw a teammate under the bus, I usually take the hyper-aggressive MP route and try to do it earlier rather than later. In INH's case, at the point when I started commenting on it, I would have probably thrown a vote onto a secondary suspicion rather than vote for a teammate if it's coming at this point, in hopes I could try to turn the tide before a swath of votes comes in.thellama73 wrote:Not really, apart from some vague "oh you guys are right, INH is a little shady" blendiness. That defines BWT's entire game. Blendy, blendy, blendy. If I'm right, he threw TH 2.0 under the bus (Snow Dog had 5 votes, his gave TH 5) and has been a go-along to get-along kind of guy the whole time. I think the post you made about him was very telling.kneel4justice wrote:Interesting, I didn't notice any interaction from the two. Was there any?thellama73 wrote:
If INH flips bad, I bet you dollars to donuts that BWT is his teammate.
I'm not intentionally trying to come off as blendy. I think it's just become my style at this point. But if I get lynched again because of "playing a blendy game", that's slightly sucky.

Linki: Yeah, I haven't mentioned INH earlier because 1) There were other people I was examining further earlier on (see: Boogs and Snow Dog) that were higher on my list and 2) it wasn't until today because I didn't have the free time to discuss it any yesterday. Also, as a baddie, I'm far more likely to start talking about my teammates earlier rather than later.

Sorry, but I used to make a post every time I saw a quote or statement that interested me and I wanted to comment on. I don't do that anymore mostly because I don't have the time to sit on here half the day and post away. I prefer making longer, more concentrated posts that might not occur as frequently, rather than posting a ton of smaller posts over the same period of time.kneel4justice wrote:WOW!birdwithteeth11 wrote: K4J - I was all gung-ho to vote for him today, but some of his defenses are making me back off and wonder. I'm so glad to hear you were gung-ho but didn't post a single thing about me throughout the day, when you were obviously reading! I would think someone who was gung-ho would surely have had input throughout the day, no?
It's quite obvious you were just going to be another bandwagoner near the end, and I am guessing you've backed off because you've seen quite a few people start to at least entertain the idea that my defenses were sincere.
Also, this isn't directed at just you, but I bolded the second part because it's honestly something that really frustrates me. I get accused of this (it feels like) at least once in every game I play. I think because I end up agreeing with people I trust, and some of the conclusions I come to are similar to what they've come to, it might look like I parrot others. But that is not the case. I'm sorry if it comes off that way, and I can understand how it might look like that, but I'm a fairly individual thinker. It's hard for other people to sway me unless I think what they say holds value. And I think there is potentially value in you being a baddie in this game. Sorry.

Dom - I think he's being sincere about being busy IRL, and has been as active as his time has allowed. I really don't find all of his questions suspicious, because that's generally how he plays. I think Dom likes to take the temperature of the room every so often, so to speak. However, if most or all of those quotes/questions that llama pulled up are all one-liners, and Dom isn't contributing his own thoughts (I feel like he has), then I would start to feel more suspicious of him.
Epignosis - Rob is generally a very hard person to read, although he does have several tells (no, I will not share them :P) if he is bad. I don't see those here though. In fact, I see a fairly normal Epig right now. I think he's going after people because he genuinely finds them suspicious. And I don't think he's using thread evidence in a way that it's setting people up for future events or potential targets, so I feel like he's civ for now.

Metalmarsh - Next time you have a forced vote, dude, try to make it a little less obvious. If we can figure it out by reading between the lines, that's fine. But don't make it so blatant next time plskthx.
Snow Dog - He's been fairly quiet (I was going to say silent, but he's posted today so there you go) since his almost-lynch. My guess is he isn't saying much because he doesn't think that there is anything he can convince us of to make us think he's good. If I can think of any other questions besides the one I asked that might convince him to share more thoughts with us, I will ask them.
I am free all of today, and am by no means decided on who I'm going to vote for yet. But I have several directions I could go.
Linki: Somehow I missed that post from Kyle. I would like to hear back from him why he was curious to learn who CBK was.
Seriously though, my only thoughts on you so far have been "a civvie who has some poor vote choices". So par for the course for you really.

INH - He's really dropped off my radar. I know he said he was busy with hosting that other game, and I can understand that. But if that game has indeed ended, I would expect to see him becoming more active again. That doesn't feel good to me at all.
K4J - I was all gung-ho to vote for him today, but some of his defenses are making me back off and wonder. Mostly because they seem really genuine to me. If he is bad, I think it's far more likely that he is a Town Goblin than Smaug.

Sorry I haven't been more active than I have been. I figured it would get better after last Thursday, and it has some. In that I can actually follow along. But I want to finish catching up, and then discuss several players.
I've probably forgotten, and I'm sure you've said it already, but who would you be willing to vote for right now?Snow Dog wrote:I do not think I am off the hook by any means, but what more coud I say that I havn't said already?

There's only one way to find out.Hedgeowl wrote:Wow, great result TH voters.
Do people think it more or less likely that TH 1.0 was civ and then replaced in bad or was bad and the last Moria and replaced in bad again? I can't really decide, because it still seems likely there is one left on the other team.
Oh Great King Russtifinko, will we be made aware when a team has been eliminated?

Re: The Hobbit Mafia: Day 8
Alright. I was in between Snow Dog and TH, and I think I've decided.
With Snowy, I was pretty convinced he was bad after his responses to the Boogs lynch. Since he's been "backed into a corner" so to speak, I've had mixed feelings on him. When he's been making pleas for people to not lynch him, it makes me want to vote for him even more. But when he's stayed away from that, he's starting to make me question him. So I'm willing to give him another day to convince me that he's possibly a civ.
With TH 2.0, he's contributed almost nothing to the game. Basically, he's skating by on contributing ideas, but without anything that actually advances any trains of thought. Plus, TH is a very good mafia player, and he's one of the few that legitimately scares me when he's quiet. Plus there's this:

That's enough for me to push for TH. If TH winds up bad, I think we can certainly look for teammates among the Snow Dog voters, and start to look back to see what other connections he's made.Epignosis wrote:Turnip Head wrote:You're wrong about why I'm asking this question. "Cart before the horse" would imply that I'm trying to lynch a suspected Snow Dog teammate before lynching Snow Dog. That's not what I was saying. I was wondering who people thought Snow Dog's teammates were if they suspected him, because as of yet I'm not seeing much evidence that he has any teammates, which makes me think he might not be a baddie. Snow Dog might be the fall guy.Epignosis wrote:Cart before the horse. How do you look for teammates before you've established someone even has a team? The only surface-level connection I would be able to draw to Snow is CBK, but she is insanified, and also appears to suspect Snowy based on her answer to Dom's question, which doesn't seem very teammate-like at this stage. If the Dog is bad, I'm not sure where I'd look next for teammates, which makes me think perhaps he doesn't have any and that lynching him is the wrong call.Turnip Head 2.0

I'm thinking you're most likely bad, but you still have time to change my mind.

I'll be honest. Right here, it's starting to feel like a plea of desperation I've used many times as a cornered baddie. Often in the past, when I'm bad and have been "caught", I'll start ferreting around and asking people to ask me if there is anything I can clear up. I don't think it makes you bad, but I know it's the only time I've used that strategy. And funny enough, it's never worked for me.Snow Dog wrote:OK...anything you want me to attempt to clear up? I thought my posts were OK
1. Maybe some baddies amongst Boogs voters.
2. Is everyone still keen on AP.
I don't see any problem there. But maybe i don't play the game well.

I'm thinking you're most likely bad, but you still have time to change my mind.

RIP Boogs! Sorry I missed yet another vote, but right now, most of my free time is being devoted to my interview on Thursday. Once that is over, I will have more time to devote to this game. As for Boogs, he had said enough that I was seriously considering not voting for him. Not sure who I would have voted for honestly.
Bye Lizzy.
But welcome back juliets!
Bye Lizzy.

I'm curious about this as well. Mostly because I don't remember what the other reasons were.Hedgeowl wrote:WB juliets! As to your question I believe there was some suspicion of Lizzy mentioned before she needed to be replaced, but I dont know the specifics. Maybe those who brought it up could chime in.

Re: The Hobbit Mafia: Day 7
I'm really starting to feel like some of us forgot to take our chill pills. Remember, it's a game. If you're starting to feel incredibly frustrated, or feel tempted to resort to name-calling, take a minute to walk away and catch your breath. I know I don't harbor any strong negative feelings about any of you, and you're all terrific players and I like playing with all of you! You make it interesting to say the least! :P But seriously, I understand people getting frustrated or upset in mafia. I do it all the time. But knowing when to commit something to typed-out words we can all see, when to take it to the host or an admin, or when to walk away for a few minutes makes it a lot less stressful.
I've already said my piece on the whole Boogs thing. CBK's case was what made me go back and look at him more, and I found several good reasons to be looking at him. But unless someone has questions to ask me personally about it, I'm done with it for now. Because it seems like it's just stoking the kettle right now.
Also, Dan, you've done a terrific, super fantastic job hosting your first-ever game so far! And theme aside, I'm enjoying it just because of that, man!
