Re: [DAY 3] Avant-Garde Mafia 2

Also, I just realized that I don't think I've ever played in a game with so many baddies in it before. 18 civvies and 12 baddies for a 3:2 ratio. Even in Lost where there were 50 players (I think), there were only 7 baddies. Sorry if this has been pointed out before, but I am just now getting into my groove in this game. :D

Re: [DAY 3] Avant-Garde Mafia 2

DH's defense of Droopy is actually giving me major pause at the moment.I find it hard to believe that he would openly defend a baddie team mate, and I can't see him being a civvie and defending Droopy while going after INH at the same time.

I need more time to think this through and read back.

Of course he could be a baddie, but as the song goes, he's not the only one.

So, as it stands I'll be voting INH.

INH, huh? Would you mind explaining this vote. I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, but I missed a couple of days worth of mafia concentration and I haven't seen a case on him yet....or if I did, I was under the influence and don't remember.

Also, I can see the hesitance you have in not voting for Droopy....this is why I'm interested in seeing your reasoning behind an INH vote because INH is usually a pretty easy lynch....meaning it's always easy to find reasons to vote for him....sometimes he's good and sometimes he's bad.

And how do you feel about Vompatti?

Re: [DAY 3] Avant-Garde Mafia 2

I don't know CBK at all, so I don't have a feeling really yet....but I have played quite a few times with rabbit. I get civvie rabbit vibes from him so far in this game. He could be fooling me....he's been known to do that, but in my experience civvie rabbit is more proactive in trying to find baddies while baddie rabbit tends to drift along only usually providing one liners and snark defenses when confronted directly.

And Droopy, you should NEVER hold back on anything.

WHAT THE?!?!?...

Honestly, you remind me of my first few mafia games. I made similar mistakes where I was jumping all over the place with how I was going to vote, and then way out in left field, which got me lynched (I was the civvie both times I did this). The mafia term for that is "waffling". And even if you are a civvie, what you are doing is not optimal for your survival.

I'm now really strongly leaning toward Droopy for this lynch.

Linki: Yeah, I bet there's some kind of secret that is involved here. And given that the majority of secrets are for baddie roles...
You say you did similar things in your first few games and you were a civvie, but you are strongly leaning towards Droopy this lynch without giving him the benefit of the doubt and admitting that perhaps he is a civvie like you were?
I never said whether or not I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt or not. I'm simply pointing out why him waffling so much would make him look like a really big target for this lynch. I learned it the hard way, and it's entirely possible he might too. That being said though, he has said things that have genuinely pinged me regardless of that, and I still think it could be more than just a beginner's mistake. That and the "secrets" comment don't sit right with me and that's why I think he could actually be a baddie.

I could still end up voting for someone else. All I was saying is that Droopy is the person most likely to get my vote at this point.
I see. You didn't point out the other things that pinged you in your other post....it made it sound like you were thinking of voting for him based purely on his "waffling".

I am so sorry!! This is the 2nd lynch I've missed in the last day. I am very, very sorry to everyone...especially you MP. I do not usually let this happen, but it has been a rough couple of days. I got hurt yesterday and have been pretty useless since. All I've been doing is laying around watching tv and nodding in and out of sleep due to the low tolerance on the pain killers. I promise to not let this happen again!

Maybe you are right and it really was random~
Your thoughts on the NK ping me a bit tbh....it's almost as if you are offended that someone killed your partner or something? I could be totally wrong, but I don't think I've ever seen you make such a post after someone is NK'd.

I remember a game where DH made a post about the night kill choice being an odd one and he was totally bad in that game....so your post comes off to me as being familiar with DFs death....meaning he was either your partner or you were involved in killing him.

I dunno....it just seems off to me.
yeah, just like everything I do seems off to you lol.

You know that when i am bad, I am the coldest bus-chucking bitch on the block, lol. If Faraday was my bad teammate, I would not be crying over him in the thread.

If Spongebob did not educate you, DH and i could not be more different. I know Faraday very well, I admire his game immensely, we are like Mafia yin/yang. He almost NEVER gets NKed early, only later when the game is at the role deduction phase. He gets lynched a lot as a civ, but not NKed like this. So I don't think he was NKed by anyone from "our" sphere of influence. But he did not say anything that would lead me to believe the PA people got him either.

So I am trying to figure out what happened to him. A direct read of the roles does not tell me~ it likely is a secret. I was hoping to see if anyone mentioned my interest, but blew it off. Surprised you didn't see that. One of those people could be the killer, IMO.

And i see a few did , on a quick skim, I have to reread, I have been crazy busy at work, and haven't had much time to read threads during the day.
You always say that...and you do a cold chucking routine, I admit....but one of these days you are going to pull the wool over all of us and do the opposite. :D

This is one of the stranger day one lynches that I've ever seen. :| I have self voted before on a day one.....a long, long time ago, and it was because I had been missing and hadnt been of any use in the game. I was a civvie in that particular game, and I quickly realized that self voting is not a very civvie thing to do in any situation.

Re: [DAY 1] Avant-Garde Mafia 2: The Ultimate Dimensional Ba

I must admit that I am a little behind on this game. At a glance, I am weary of Leech's posts about the secrets and whatnot. I also agree with DH's post about INH being uber aggressive in getting the challenge done...sloppily. I will properly catch up tomorrow before the vote.

Ive been use to playing in one average sized game at a time. I haven't played in multiple games in a while. Now I'm in a small game, an average size game, and a big game. Bear with me...plus, there are tons of new people (to me) in this game so it will take some time for me to get into the swing of things, and I'm sure I'm not the only one in that regard. :D

Another great post, sockster!! I didn't gain much as far as what it meant that we chose the particular portal that we did. Perhaps it was strictly storytelling? I suppose we shall see. As far as early thoughts on who to possibly vote for, I don't really have any ideas yet. Almost everyone in the game is new to me so there will be an adjustment period. Plus, it seems like most people are talking about game mechanics about the posting requirements.

Let's throw some suspicions around!!! Yee haw!!! :D

I dunno...the one near the sun sounds dangerous...like it could be some plot to get us near the Sun where it would incinerate us.

The one near the Earth has it obvious Pros...being for sure and all. Herman the Planet Smasher escaped through a portal on Earth.

THe one near Pluto sounds intriguing. If it's not there, at least we won't be instantly vaporized by the power of th eSUn.
