Re: [DAY 2] Fight Club Mafia - New Castle, DE
I tend to be suspicious of people who are in my opinion overly gung ho because that's the opposite of my play style, however I do appreciate people who put themselves out there since I tend to be cautious and sit back a bit in the beginning; I don't however usually act on these early though, I just keep anSpacedaisy wrote:"That's why I'm your friends."Leamiteo wrote:Awe, thanks! I am totally with you on that assessment Boomslang. I don't think voting blocks are really going to be that helpful in the long run. And a logistical nightmare. By it would be a nice place for Tyler to hide out. Blend in with a crowd, nothing they say or do would stand out.

I know why big voting blocks sound appealing in the beginning, but at some point trust is going to become a real problem with project mayhem in full swing. Every man for himself is pretty much the mafia way after all.

I just now saw my typo, bahaha! *Nuts. Work is crazy busy. But here I am taking a mafia break. Shhhhhhhh....don't tell my boss.Russtifinko wrote:^Leamiteo wrote:Work is nut right now.
Sorry for missing 2 votes people. I hate missing votes. I wish I could say my participation is likely to go up now, but that'd be a lie. Work is insane at least through the weekend. I'll try to at least be voting and quickly posting thoughts, though.

The bad thing is referring to sleeping through the vote...my second missed vote! I was only supposed to sleep for a half hour. Ugh. Work is nut right now.
So DH volunteered to vote last time. How did the rest of your cities decide?

Ok...so I did a bad thing...I went to take a nap after a crazy day at work and ended up waking up at 9. I'm so sorry to the host and the thread!

I had the same thought process, but being a complete new person is different than transferring I would think. In the movie Tyler and the narrator go to different places in the movie but don't necessarily fight there...but I dunno. We'll see!Keterman wrote:Four players from this town moved to Wilmington, and the rest didn't vote. Interesting.
In the Wilmington thread it was brought up earlier that the eighth rule of Fight Club (if you are new to Fight Club, you must fight) could have influenced MovingPicture07's setup of this game. Therefore it was reasoned that those who switch towns must fight when they enter a town they haven't been in yet. At first I agreed with that reasoning, but now however I think the eighth rule would not apply to switching towns, but instead apply to being recruited to Project Mayhem. Could someone who has seen the film perhaps provide more educated speculation?

Re: [NIGHT 1] Fight Club Mafia - New Castle, DE
So sorry that I didn't a) wake up on time this morning to vote before work b) remember to vote during lunch break and c) just got home. I'll take more care in the future!
As far as the vote goes, I don't know, it might be fun to check out other places! But I still don't even know what the heck is going on here. But I do see your point DH. Good thinking! What do others think? Is there a preference?
Also, does anyone know how will lynches work?

That being said, I'll wait for discussion to get rolling and vote either in the morning or during my lunch break tomorrow.

Re: [DAY 1] Fight Club Mafia - New Castle, DE
Hello everyone and yay game! I just got back from Ohio whereI bought a car this weekend, woot!
I must confess I got lost trying to find day one
and I was on the road until just now.
At this point in the while I know nothing about the mechanics of this particular game I'd say we could let a volunteer fight I suppose. I wonder if there are pros (or cons) to volunteering and getting votes?
