Suddenly, darkness. Loud white noise penetrates the atmosphere of the room. You can barely see or hear what's going on around you. In the dark, you feel as if you can almost make out a scream coming from somewhere. You lose track of time during the blackness. It could've lasted a minute or an hour, you just aren't sure. Then, as quickly as it came, the darkness recedes. You scan the room, looking for differences, but you spot none. Obviously, something happened during the hour of gloom, but you have no idea what.

In the center of the room, there are 8 chairs facing the right. To the right is a .44 Magnum pistol on top of a metal table. The gun is loaded with six bullets. On the walls around the room are six numbered doors which lead to small saferooms. These rooms are completely blast-proof. Each door can be opened and entered by a switch in the main area. To enter a saferoom, type "flip door #1-6 switch". Only one person to a room. Once inside a room, you cannot leave until the bomb is either disarmed or detonated. To the left of the room is a bomb, and a single set of wire cutters. The bomb is 2 pieces of C4 connected to a detonator. There are 4 wires connected from the bottom of the detonator to the C4, a pink wire, a red wire, a blue wire, and a purple wire. Also connected to the C4 from the sides of the detonator, are 4 cables (Brown, yellow, green, and orange.) that can be unplugged and replugged. On the surface of the detonator, there are four switches placed around a red button. The switches are to the north, south, east, and west sides of the detonator, and can be set up or down. They are all currently up. Once you think that all of the correct wires are cut, the right cables are plugged, and the accurate switches are flipped, press the red button. If the bomb is disarmed correctly, you will all move on to the next round. If the bomb is disarmed incorrectly, it will detonate, instantly killing anyone who isn't inside a saferoom. The survivors will move on to the next round. The correct instructions to disarm the bomb have been divided into six parts and placed in each saferoom. The problem is, once you are inside a saferoom, your communication to the people in the main area trying to disarm the bomb is limited. If you unplug the wrong cable, you can simply replug it. If you flip the wrong switch down, you can simply flip it up. However, if you cut the wrong cable, the bomb will detonate. Any attempt to tamper or break the bomb, will cause it to detonate. This challenge relies on teamwork, communication, organization, and leadership.

Three Chambers is an interactive social online text RPG. Eight people awaken trapped in a bunker, forced to work together in order to solve increasingly complicated puzzles. But, one of them is not who they say they are. One of them is a mole hired to weed out the weaker candidates. Everyday, the mole will kill one member of it's choice. His/Her job is to mislead and spread misinformation among the group. Your job is to identify, isolate, and eliminate the Mole, while solving the puzzles in under a week. If you eliminate the Mole, the killings will stop. But, keep in mind that the Mole can also choose to not kill someone.

How to play:

You interact with the landscape by using one of four commands. Post these in the thread whenever you want to do something.

You don't have to say these exact words, but these are the only four abilities you have.

These interactions will only be responded to when the Acolyte, the person who is in charge of this particular challenge is on site. Translation: I'll only respond when I'm online. When my signature says "The Acolyte is In", I'm ready to respond to posts. When my signature says "The Acolyte is Out", I'm not available, and any interactions will have to wait until I'm online to be processed.

3CHAMBERS {CHAMBER THREE}

The first thing you feel is the metal digging into your wrists. Then, before you can open your eyes, the headache strikes. A familiar feeling clouds your head. You feel as if you had downed a gallon of tequila the night before. When your eyes first open, they take a few seconds to fully adjust. On a table in front of you is a gun. This is obviously not right. Yawning, you start to realize where you are. In front of you, a metal table with a .44 Magnum straight out of Dirty Harry lying on top of it. A piece of paper lies in front of the pistol, though you can't make out what it says. You seem to be inside of a concrete bunker, with a few light-bulbs dangling from the ceiling. You move your head to the side, and then you see the seven other people trapped along side you. Well then. You fell asleep at home, and woke up in Saw.

As if to rub salt in the wound, a shrill mechanical feedback screech fills the air.

"Begin." a mechanical voice proclaims.

The metal bindings rip off of your wrists, causing more than a little discomfort. Lurching to your feet, you analyze the people around you. Surely, one of these people knew what was going on? Feeling nauseated and queasy, you turn around and begin to retch. This gives you some glares, but you hardly care anymore. Luckily, you don't vomit, but what you see makes you want to. A nice stack of C4, with a detonator on top. It's just then that you notice the cameras. The sheer surrealism and bizarreness of the moment almost makes you laugh in a way. You smile for the camera.
