Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 5]

S~V~S wrote:
DharmaHelper wrote:See why would I bother looking into it if people already are dismissing my point lmao.
I am not dismissing it; I would like to wait a day is all, to perhaps allow the commissioner to clarify his point. Pushing to lynch someone over an ambiguous reference in a gossip post is not something I am comfortable with. Just becasue he said "Mac" in one post does not mean he makes similar references in every post.

*Everyone* would get "Mac", not everyone would get "coffee" due to history. It would be like one of us who played at the Piano dropping "Chameleon" as a hint, when there are probably 10 people playing this game that would get that reference as a reference to YOU. Or referring to me with a comment about Vincent the dog, since that used to be in my user name at LP and for a while all my avatars were yellow labs. Again, half the players would feel the breeze ruffling their hair at that reference flew over their heads.
I just want to say regarding this post that no one has called me juliets coffee in my memory - though they have called me JC - since I came on board here at TS in Dec. 2012. I registered here as juliets.

I think the Mac point is stronger than the coffee. Cops drink coffee.
But I'm not opposed to putting some pressure on any player who we don't know is civvie.

Juliet, are you describing your civ meta right now?

Woah, chill DH. :p Keep linki-ing me.
Yes Dom, I'm describing what I do as a civ. GOC is a recent example.

I think I'm going to have to give Mac the BOTD today because TH's points meshed with my thought that Mac had done a good job at responding to the case against him. So, it's looking like a BR vote for me today. I'll wait a bit just in case something happens.

DharmaHelper wrote:Exhibit A3:
Considering 3 people based on 3 other people's cases:
juliets wrote:As I start the day today I'm considering three people for a vote tonight.

I believe DH's theory that Typh is the penguin though what bea said about him being more restrictive with a curse does cause me pause because Typh is indeed that experienced. I really would like to hear what he has to say about it though and since he's working now I hope he comes on when he gets home.

The BR case comparing her from one game to another also appeals to me. Again though, I'd like to hear what BR has to say about herself. I did reread her yesterday and I don't have anything I can add to the case.

I'm still dithering over the Mac case. It's hard because I read him so hard as civ and to consider a vote for him I have to bring my mind around to see him as bad. I also thought he did a good job defending himself. If he is bad it sounds like he's mafia where as Typh looks like an independent and I don't know about BR. My point is he could be the worst of the three if all three are "bad".

I don't get the remarks being made about Matt. To me it looks so clear that he was cursed by a different person last night than the one who cursed him the night before. I know Matt can be a little crazy but I find it difficult to believe he chose to post in lines from Shakespeare. So in short, i don't understand why there is suspicion on him.
I often vote based on cases other people bring to the table. In the case of Typhoony though I changed my mind once I had talked to him so no longer bought the case. With the BR case I did engage with her and ask her a question that hadn't been answered in TH's case. And I ultimately decided the Mac case was one I couldn't vote for because his responses were strong which TH also said. What is your link between liking others cases and being bad? I said specifically in the BR case I iso'd her and couldn't find anything else to bring to the table. TH seemed to have gotten it all. Was I the only one who voted for BR based on TH's case?

DharmaHelper wrote:Good morning!

I did a little bit of re-reading on Juliets based on what I find usually suspect about her which is her votes and her reasonings behind how she votes when bad. Fun fact, her votes for:

1. Black Rock
2. Scotty
3. Nero

Were all based on other peoples points. The baddie juliets I know is one to be very agreeable with outhers in the thread, so this gels with my thought. I'm a little groggy right now but I can pull quotes later.
That's how I play when I'm good. In other words, it's not alignment indicative. And I'll have to look these up to see if that is the truth but I know offhand the reason I voted for Nero was Enrique backing off of him bigtime and asking us not to vote Matt, and then Matt's insistence that Nero was bad. I think you'll find many people who voted under those circumstances for Nero. I could go to the thread and find them if you don't believe me.

Some stuff I remember:

1. sig thought he read as being "fake-nice" early in the game but later went back on that.
2. Matt thinks he's been claiming Two Face throughout the game for mentioning coinflips and the number two.
3. He made sure to reply to sig right before he got killed and the whole thing got buried.
4. MP reads him as an inmate for not matching either his civvie or baddie metas.

I don't know if I'm missing something.
So it appears people suspect him of being an inmate as opposed to mafia. Thanks Enrique i appreciate your response.

Golden hasn't told us yet whether he's come up with anything.

Thanks MM. I am also reading Mac as civ but with some reservations. I agree with your comment that DH seems "metal less" though i am also reading him as civ. MP falls into my leaning not civ category. I'm just not sure because his posting I think has been affected by his poisoning. Since he should no longer have that sig thing maybe I'll get a better read.
What do you mean that MPwas affected by poisoning? Does poison do something different in this game than I'm used to seeing?
He doesn't give a shit since he is poisoned and knows he is going to die. So being poisoned has affected how and what he says, is how I read it.
It looked more like a curse of sorts to me. MP made sure to state in every single post that he was suspicious of sig. Even when he forget to include it, he'd immediately follow up with the thought in the next post.
I wasn't talking about the sig part. I was talking about his other stuff. Like posting he should be lynched.
This isn't the first time MP has done this. He did it in Flash, and I'm pretty sure that wasn't the only time either. Recruitment maybe?
Oh really - thats interesting to know. Was he bad in Flash (I didn't play)? I don't remember if he did in Recruitment - I tend to forget the details of games once they are past.

Matt wrote:SVS - I do know that Bea can read you quite well, and I believe in a recent btsc (forget which game, help me out here bea), she told me that you can read her really well, too. Soooo I suppose I will back off on her for now. But but but there is something fishy with that post I quoted "I always worry that my....................." :puppy:

Mac - You're correct that it wouldn't make sense that you would be distancing on Day 0 since one of you would have to be the cop that wasn't yet recruited. Hrm.

The only scenario that I can now see bea and Mac on a team is if they are Falcone, and that would mean they were not Nero's teammates.

Btw, I had been trying to get this across, but Golden eloquently put into words what I couldn't...
Golden wrote:2) Yesterday's lynch, his turn around didn't feel entirely genuine to me. My suspicion as to why... Enrique is on team Nero. His team figures out a theory that Matt is Batman, and suddenly realises that if Matt is lynched and comes back Batman, Nero is probably going down right afterwards. So, the best option is to bus his own teammate, and get civ cred in the process. Others have already pointed out some posts by Enrique that appear deliberately designed to get cred.
Actually, my theory is that Enrique was convinced...CONVINCED...I had a targeting role (it didn't have to be Batman), so his team figured no matter how I flipped, as long as I had a targeting role, peeps would most certainly eye Nero next. And I had made a big deal about Enrique/Nero in thread, even dared Enrique to vote Nero. People keep saying "Why buss a brand new player teammate on Day 2 of a game where the Mafia only has three members?" If Enrique and team believed Nero was a goner no matter what, then why not buss him? Saves Enrique from having to defend his actions after Nero would eventually be lynched (in his eyes anyway).

Btw, I cleared this with the hosts...

Some of you said during the phase yesterday "Hey MP and Matt, do you really think you're helping the thread with your nonsense?"

Yes, I was helping the thread. If some of you (like juliets, bea, Scotty, even Mac did) had gone along with what I was trying to do, we might've gotten a clue as to a certain inmate's whereabouts. But after being accused of cluttering with nonsense, I didn't want to annoy anyone and get myself lynched, so I didn't say much for the last hours of the phase.
Matt I'm not sure what you wanted me to go along with. I didn't see any instruction from you until you said "Follow me" and voted for MP. I think I had already voted by the time you said that because I remember thinking I wished you would have said it earlier. If there is something else you wanted me to do it went right over my head. So what should I have gone along with?
