Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 10]
I'm here currently doing an iso on Lorab so I will be posting in just a little while. As far as i have gone so far I have not seen anything I think is suspicious. She spends a lot of her time on Bubbles and though she might be wrong she is at least consistent.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Night 9]
I'm not sure who you should have voted for - whoever was second on your list is what I would have expected. I think I would have voted Bubbles instead but if you believe her to be good you couldn't do that. If person second on your list hadn't had time to respond to the reasons you were voting them then I guess voting DH is all you could do. I just know the first thing I did since it was on day 2 of our two day game day was to look at DH's iso and see that he hadn't spoken since Friday leading me to believe he was likely silenced. Others convinced me though there was nothing else you could do since you had to leave for work and so I didn't vote for you.Matt wrote:Dom, you seem to forget on March 3rd, another game started (Turf Wars) and I was asked to replace into Rocky and Bullwinkle. Turf Wars has been just about as busy as this game was when it first started, and I had to catch up on 20 or so pages of R&B when replacing in.Dom wrote:Your ISO is literally 2 pages from days 5-9.
Your ISO is literally 10 pages long from days 1-5.
Additionally, you have brought up significantly less points as of late. You harped on TH being bad, refused anyone else's input, and didn't want to lynch Glorf. You haven't had a cohesive suspect lists since Day 6 or 7. I have asked for your input on multiple occasions and you only are defensive about me doing so.
I think you're coasting. I think you established a civ persona in thread and are riding it to the end like you did in GoC.
You have asked me questions and "my input" on several occasions, each time I answer, and you're like "oh okay cool beans". Then next day, you got something else.
A "civ persona" ? Lol. Can I expect this in every game going forward? "Remember that one time Matt faked his own civ meta to win a mafia game, he must be doing that all the time now!!" Bwahahaha.
Anyway, let me ask you...do you think I'm mafia or an inmate? I'm not either, but this is an important question I want an answer on.
Yeah, here you go...juliets wrote:I apologize Matt I don't remember seeing a question. Would you repeat it and I will answer?Matt wrote:I see Dom replied, but didn't give me any examples of coasting.
DH said he didn't think I was bad and is now making jokes (?) about lynching me.
Lorab and juliets didn't respond to my post at all.
K.
I'd like to know exactly what you think I should've done in my position.Matt wrote:juliets - You were wondering who brought up the Wayne Manor/Bubbles thing. That was me. Also, yes, I typically like to wait for an exchange before voting someone, but I had no time today. You say I should've voted for someone else. Tell me, who should I have voted for? I was going to have to leave anyway, so whoever I voted for would've had no time to respond. In that position, what is better? Vote for DH, who shot up to my top suspect last night when ISOing him? Vote for a random other player for no reason? Just not vote?

Re: Arkham Mafia [Night 9]
Well I was wrong about DF being good or friendly inmate. Thank goodness there were people who saw through his tactics and voted for him. Goodbye DF, I thought you did a good job playing a baddie. After my appointment this morning I will start taking a look at people, though maybe not aloud yet because it's night. I don't want to go through the same thing I went through with this lynch.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 9]
I guess if it were me I would have voted someone else and given DH another day. But if you think that is too much to expect maybe I'm getting clouded by my dislike of the vote with no response. And it was a small suspicion anyway, and it's getting blown up into much more than I meant. So, I will look for somebody else. Where are you on who to vote for?Bullzeye wrote:Do you really not see that Matt couldn't wait for DH because he had to go to work?juliets wrote:I'm not voting him because he had to go to work. As far as my reads right now go, I'd put Matt, Golden, Mac, and MP as strong civ reads, with Enrique up there too. Typh, Bullz, Dom, snd SVS are middling for me, as well as the inactives. I think there could be something to the DH case, I'm still looking over Lorab, and I didn't like Juliets' reasoning for her suspicion of Matt, but otherwise haven't been pinged by her.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 9]
Yeah Golden I see what you mean. And I can agree that I see Matt more as an inmate than mafia. I just have a real thing about people voting people who haven't been able to respond. If he had voted Bass after making a case I could understand because the chances that he would come around are nil. But DH has been around the whole game. Anyway, I don't know what to do.Golden wrote:Don't you think that seems like Matt, though?juliets wrote:Typh regarding you asking who i would vote, I just made a post re: how i feel like I have no body to vote. This is really just a condensed version of the post I made. Maybe you missed it.
I felt like people were far too hasty to clear Matt after the Nerolunar lynch. Back then, I felt he could well be bad. But, over time, for example his unflinching suspicion of people like TH and MP despite all evidence to the contrary. I just came out of all of that feeling like this is normal Matt.
I could see Matt as inmate though.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 9]
I am not having very much luck today on who to vote for. Someone else said this and I feel similarly that my leaning bad reads are all gone. There has been evidence brought about DH but he has not been around since Friday to respond to it. I don't agree right now with either Typh or Dom being bad. I understand what your saying Golden but I can't suspect someone off of your gut reads. I'm not seeing Golden bad either. Equivocate and ekenat haven't been here to send in kills, and Bass its hard to say because the field that tells the last time you were here in his profile is blank. So anyway, you get the picture. I'm tempted to vote Matt for not letting DH respond before voting him but that seems like a small reason to vote someone. If anyone has other ideas I'd love to hear them (btw I've noticed DH, SVS, and Enrique haven't been here this phase. I could see one of them being silenced but all three? Enrique said he would have declining participating but nothing during the whole phase?).

This is the same thought I was having about the process of elimination. Are you sure you got all the NK's people's role's right? Much less the people alive like Equivocate and eketat. I can understand process of elimination but not when there are so many people it would seem impossible to know them and their role, dead or alive. Maybe there is something more to this that I don't understand.Dom wrote:So how do you prioritize me over Equivocate or Ek etc?Golden wrote:By the way I gave a reason for BOTH of you. DF, why do you feel Lorab bears looking into? Did you see something that pinged you? She did a great job of asking Bubbles questions that we'll never get answers to but they show why there should be some suspicion on Bubbles - someone that you suspect too.DFaraday wrote:Here it is. And here is my response.Golden wrote:Scotty made a case in the early game on DFaraday that I really agreed with but now have entirely forgotten about.
I don't agree with the Matt suspicion. He's still coming off as an earnest civ to me.
My main suspicion at the moment is on Bubbles, because here vote was still shady to me, even without Glorf as a teammate. I also feel like Lorab merits looking into some more. I suspected her early on, so I may revisit that.
I still don't think going after inactives is a good idea, since the baddies are still sending in kills and so that limits the number of baddies inactives could be.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 8]
Never mind telling me a game - I found a really easy way to determine what games someone has been in.juliets wrote:I don't know anything of Bubbles except what I see in this game. If I've played with her before I've totally forgotten. For some of you who are speaking up on her normal style can you tell me another game she played in? I know she doesn't have many posts but I'm going to look at her posts here in comparison to another game.
I read her posts in Star Wars and found the posts much like this game. I'm not positive but I believe she was good in Star Wars. I then read her posts in AWR and again, they seemed similar to this game. She seemed to be good in that game. Then in Recruitment her style differed - she was much more involved and posted almost every day. No big gaps like there were in the other games. She was also good in that game. As a matter of fact, I found reference in one of these games that she had always been good in all the games she's played here (I think this is the twelfth), not that it makes any difference because just because you're good in every game doesn't mean you will be good in every other.
So basically I learned nothing. She has posted the same and differently in other games and still been good. I guess I would say I don't lean bad on her due to game style comparison. Lorab's questions though point to a myriad of things wrong with what she has posted which means I can't dismiss her entirely. Oh, and I was mistaken I have played with her before but just didn't remember.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 8]
Hello everyone, sorry I have been missing today. I had some things to do and then I fell asleep!
Let me try to clear up the game comparisons I did with Glorfindel. First, note that I was looking at three different games: this one, Star Wars, and Pikmin. I think the confusion on how I feel stems from the fact that the two sets of comments were about two different games comparing them to our current game.
The first game I talked about was Star Wars and I said I did not see the comparison. He seemed much more melt downish in Star Wars than in this game. I didn't say this the first time but since it has come up, it did appear he was spending his time defending himself though if being accused i think it's hard not to defend. But he sounded more defensive to me there than here. In terms of whether or not he was evasive I wasn't reading for that because it came up after I read the games to my recollection. Dom feels like - having been there - that the posts in Star Wars were not melt downy and that his game there was reminiscent of his game here.
The real eye opener was Pikmin. His posting in Pikmin was nothing like his posting here or Star Wars. He was straight to the point, there were no winding posts and the posts were short enough to read more in depth as I skimmed and he did not avoid things that I could see. My only caveat about that - and its a big one in my mind - is he wasn't under any pressure of being bad like he was in Star Wars and is here. So I don't know if I'm looking at someone who has a posting style that comes out when he's under pressure as in this game regardless of alignment or someone who has a drastically different posting style when he's good than when he is bad. That's why I asked others to read his posts and add their opinion as to what those games are telling us.
Also, a lot has happened since I posted my read on his games. I was not looking too close at content and that seems to be the reason many are suspecting Glorfindel now.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 7]
sprityo, i'm sorry I participated in your lynch. I guess there were just some things I took wrong or misunderstood. I hope you'll be back to play again in another game.
Glorfindel, you did say you would vote for SVS and she did ask for your reasons. Why, especially after she couldn't find anything in your posts, did you ignore her request for a link?S~V~S wrote:
And I appreciate it when I would not even defend myself that day. I really had just thrown my hands up and said, "Fine, I'll show them" that day, and I appreciate you putting in the effort for me. Yesterday was different. Yesterday the self vote was more of a pressure vote. I wanted to see who would put their money where their mouth was. Golden keeps saying, "I don't know why SVS thinks I am gonna vote for her". Well, I was his main topic of discussion, every post where he mentioned me he mentioned some form of "bad", for starters. And Glorfindel (writing "Glor or Glorf" seems disrespectful to the High Elven, lol) clearly stated he was going to vote for me. I asked 3 tumes for his reasons, finally he said, search my posts. And I did and I could not find it, and asked him to link me to it two or three times, and he ignored me,even though he replied to posts both before & after mine.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 7]
Ok thanks S~V~S. I'm not going to vote you because I believe in your heart you would rather stay and play, you're just annoyed. I know how that feels.
sprityo didn't respond to me, even to ask what I meant by what I said. I don't think he really cares and some of the things he has said, like he'd be ok with dying except he'd be putting his fate in the hands of the town. When asked what that meant he said "Sparta". And as I said earlier this is not the only example or reason. He implied he had met win conditions then denied it and then said a lynch would help him. I just don't trust him.
So I'm voting sprityo.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 7]
S~V~S, I can see you being frustrated one day and voting for yourself but now you've done it twice. Are you encouraging us to vote you because you want out? You haven't sounded like that but then I don't think I've ever seen you vote yourself twice - have you?

Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 7]
DH, I know S~V~S said it didn't matter which points you were talking about but I would like to know. I just reviewed Golden's case and don't know if your points about Sabie and SVS are coming from there or from other points. It would be helpful if you would point me or link me or just describe what bothers you about that subject.DharmaHelper wrote:Are you aware of the points I am talking about? This seems like an awfully generic statementS~V~S wrote:Anyones points linking me to Sabie are untrue. Because I was not linked to Sabie. Since this is a game of hidden knowledge, it is easy to take almost any supposition and find a way to find evidence for it. But That does not make the case correct. Other people apparently judged it based on the content, and as the person who knows the truth of it, I judged it based on that truth.DharmaHelper wrote:I meant moreso my points not Goldens.
And there is no truth in it. And that is really all I can say about it. I can go through it point by point and say "Nope" to all of them if you like.
I am thinking about a vote for sprit but I want to see if he is going to come in and answer the final few things in my case. He told someone (Dom maybe?) that he did not meet his win conditions but frankly he implied he did and then he said he didn't and I don't know which is the truth. He seems deceptive on this subject and I don't like deception.

Ok Dom, I know it feels different when you're playing than when you're simply reading like I did. I just thought there was more frustration and meltdown than in this game but will give weight to your read having been there.Dom wrote:So glorf, you wanna lynch anyone or nah?
Juliets, having played star wars, I'd say this play isn't necessarily dissimilar.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 7]
I read Pikmin Mafia and Glorfindel's posts did look significantly different - he never appeared frustrated or upset. BUT there is a big difference between that game and the Star Wars game - he never had any pressure on him about being bad. So I don't think I can compare that game with this one.
I'd really like those thinking of voting for Glorfindel to read those two games - it doesn't take long - because I'd like to hear other opinions based on the reads.
