Re: The Great Gatsby [Day 5]
I know I'll never be trusted again after that Blooper kill. But then again, nobody trusts me anyway.

I've never seen such beautiful shirts!
Sorry
I think we earned that win despite the apathy. We killed Blooper because we saw her as a legit threat!
Sorry

Nope, keeping my vote where it is. I don't think you have a convincing case on Elo and are scrambling.

Re: The Great Gatsby [Day 5]
I can get behind a TSP lynch. Especially if he doesn't deign to explain the self-vote after not bothering to vote on the day he proposed the big plan.

Re: The Great Gatsby [Day 5]
I assumed there would be three mafia in the game given the setup. I know the last heist I played, Futurama, had three mafia, and that seems to be common for other games with about the same number of players.Elohcin wrote: βSun Aug 13, 2017 4:22 pm Boom has been here. Did he agree to kill blooper? And he was the one that implied there are still two mafia instead of just one left. Like he knew it was a fact. What does this say about him. Makes me think he was mistaken and so Tony is the last mafia.
Boom...what say you about the number of mafia left in the game. Do you still think there are two?
Linki...yeah... I think Tony is our best bet afyer my reread.

Re: The Great Gatsby [Day 5]
That's completely fair in any game where people are actually paying attention and trying to win for the civs. People are usually camped out at EOD, excited to see what happens. I think you just didn't care about the outcome one way or another because you knew it'd be good for you.DrWilgy wrote: βSun Aug 13, 2017 12:07 amDude, you posted that you voted Neverwhere about 9 min b4 eod. That's not even fair for everyine your targeting here lol.Boomslang wrote: βSat Aug 12, 2017 9:58 pm Wilgy is making excuses: he knew when end of day was, and so did everyone else who didn't vote. If they really wanted their plan to go through, they could've done so.
If both Made and Neverwhere were civ, the Mafia wouldn't have had any incentive to vote and be on record. Same for an indie who can just switch his win con. So really everyone who didn't vote is suspect.
Also, the original plan was a 2v2 tie anyway iirc, so you should've been expecting people to vote. Encouraging a 1v1 tie is encouraging nonparticipation and less info for future decisions.

Don't try to blame this on me, Wilgy. You could've tied the vote, or literally anyone else could have. I actually made a decision.

This is so aggravating. I'm drunk and voting Neverwhere to punish all the nonparticipants. Odds are one of you is bad.

Re: The Great Gatsby [Day 4]
For that matter, TSP, why are you so keen to leave this decision to Wilgy? Could it be because you know both Made and Neverwhere are civ, and that either way will make Wilgy look bad?

Re: The Great Gatsby [Day 4]
Heists have a maximum of 3 non-vanilla roles. Two of them are dead; if Wilgy doesn't call the tie correctly, we know he's vanilla something, but it wouldn't necessarily implicate him as bad.Long Con wrote: βThu Aug 10, 2017 12:14 amI like this plan, I also want to move forward with a Wilgy-test scenario.TonyStarkPrime wrote: βWed Aug 09, 2017 11:21 pm Assuming 2 Maf left
Boomslang - could be Maf with
DrWilgy - Could be a very smart maf
Elohcin - could be Maf with LC or Boom
Long Con - could be Maf with Elo
Made - could be Maf with anyone
Neverwhere - could be Maf with anyone
TonyStarkPrime - town
Wilgy, I'll make sure you get your tie today but you have to call who's going to die before it happens.
I typed that, but then I thought about how it's a closed setup game, and a baddie extra vote would negatively implicate Wilgy. If Wilgy is tested and is wrong, do we then lynch him?

Two things: TSP, you never specified who I could be Mafia with. And Elo, what do you mean by Made being alone? There's only one Mafia down... Unless you're forgetting to count yourself

Re: The Great Gatsby [Night 2]
Quick reads on everyone:
Boomslang - As usual, a good guy whom everyone wants dead.
DFaraday - Nothing to go off of but a drive-by on Made and an ungimmicky start-of-game post. Votes Enrique for low-posting reasons, then continues to be part of the problem after saying he'd be back yesterday. Could be bad.
Dom - Terse, healthy suspicion of multiple people. Most recently pushing LC, who hasn't gotten much flak. Probably civ.
DrWilgy - Almost certainly indy, and confidently civ aligned. Not worried about him.
Elo - Immediately goes after me based on "he just always sounds that way to me," then backs off when I actually start posting. Misses the Rico lynch, votes Enrique for low posting. Could very well be bad and pursuing easy targets.
Long Con - Likes Made's idea, doesn't like me, also doesn't like DFaraday. Seems genuinely inquisitive. Likely civ.
Made - Interacts with Rico early, goes after Enrique even earlier. Offers big claim idea, doesn't offer much after it. Dump vote on Enrique, no vote yesterday. Would like to see more; in yellow part of the rainbow.
Neverwhere - Complete no-show. At this point in the game, either bad or non-contributing civ. Nothing in her favor is not a good sign.
TSP - Dislikes Made's idea, exchanges votes with Rico first lynch, wants to lynch me because "I might always want to lynch Boom." The Rico exchange is either masterful first-day bussing or a civ clear, and I'm leaning toward the latter given Rico's genuine frustration over the lynch.

Alright, finally back at a stable computer and can respond to things. Such as Blooper's deathLong Con wrote: βTue Aug 08, 2017 12:02 am I agree with the Boom suspicion. A look at his ISO is suspicious to me. The gimmick, the Rico defense, looks bad to me.

The gimmick was because I love Gatsby, nothing more and nothing less; I had to drop it because I didn't have access to a copy while traveling. And it's easy to go after me for defending Rico's gimmick in hindsight, but I after I literally spent all of Night Vale defending him for a gimmick, I think he counted on me to continue that train of thought.
I'm willing to trust Wilgy after he pulled a claim similar to what I did with the Man in the Tan Jacket last time. With a mafia lynch on the first day, I'm sure he's truthful about throwing his hat in with the civs for at least the next few days.

Yeah, I've been out at a wedding and now having goodbye party for my brother, who is moving to Chicago this week. Sorry to add on the excuses train, but them's the facts.
Seems I'm getting piled on despite Wilgy literally saying he's not civ. Huh.

Realized I didn't actually cast my vote. But I'm now more willing to vote TSP based on the policy attack on Rico. His gimmick wasn't bad last time?

Dammit, can't keep posting in Gatsby quotes because I'm on the road, and poll ends while still driving. Voting TSP to force him off his self vote and because Wilgy makes good pressure points; may change if I have time to check before deadline.

The notion originated with Daisy's suggestion that we hire five bathrooms and take cold baths, and then assumed more tangible form as "a place to have a mint julep."

Elohcin instinctively avoided clever shrewd men and now I saw that this was because she felt safer on a plane where any divergence from a code would be thought impossible. She was incurably dishonest.
