Long Con has the right idea, methinks. I had assumed that special roles would start with a higher fighting level, making them more likely to survive the nights, and that might give insight in the future.
Unfortunately, I'll be unable to pay much attention to the thread for the next week due to personal circumstances; I'll be sure to vote and check in, but I doubt I'll be of much contribution.

Re: [DAY 7] Fight Club Mafia
Throwing my vote at Leamiteo to discourage revenge voting. Seems like an unnecessarily aggressive action.

Re: [NIGHT 6] Fight Club Mafia
As I did not win my fight and can fight again, I vote for me.

Re: [DAY 6] Fight Club Mafia
Alright, I've gotta vote before bed. Seems like the vote is at a 3-way tie right now, and I have no intention of breaking it. So randomizing and getting Boogs.

Re: [DAY 6] Fight Club Mafia
Urgh... it does look like there are going to be a lot of missing votes. I'm not sure what Sock will do about it, but I'm sure it will be bad. And honestly, I still don't have enough of a read to feel confident. I don't think the Vomps case is airtight, especially this early and based on two pieces of evidence. So will likely randomize again, unless some crazy analysis comes up in the next hour or so.

Re: [DAY 6] Fight Club Mafia
Interesting points both, especially the first. Regarding the second point I get the feeling that Vomps being random encompasses random moments of lucidity... On the other hand, I can see DH trying to throw Vomps, with all of his known behavior, under the bus if he thought suspicion was coming his way.Sorsha wrote:This was the original post against vomps:Long Con wrote: What was the case on Vompatti again? Keterman seems to think that he would be automatically receiving votes because he came so close to lynch last time, but was there a solid case against him, or did votes just kind of fall his way in a lazy semi-bandwagon?I'm not going to go find all the other people who voted for him too but if you go back to this post you can scan through and find them.timmer wrote:Okay, continuing my read of Penns Grove.
So Vompatti, who has been his normal obscure self, continues to be an interesting person here.
Day 3, DH shows up, throws his shit around and makes sure everyone knows he wants to fight. But then he says:
"Vomps wants to fight, so I will let him do that."
Only there is no post AT ALL where Vompatti said he wanted to fight. None. Please read Penns Grove and tell me where I'm wrong.
Also, Alex mentioned that the puzzle in his siggie hadn't yet been solved and said people could suggest a letter.
Vompatti said: "I request the letter 'D'."
That's VERY unlike Vompatti to be so suddenly on-topic and direct.
I think I just talked myself into thinking Vompatti is bad.
I think I am going to be voting for vomps today, as I did yesterday. I think the theories going around are nice and everything but this point about vomps is a good one and I'd rather vote for someone based on actual thread behavior than on a theory that may or may not be correct.

Re: [DAY 6] Fight Club Mafia
I'm willing to buy this, mostly because I didn't notice the Chicago option myself. That drastic geography change does suggest the possibility of a drastic rules change, but I'm not sure what that would be. I don't think the movie itself sets a definite location, but the ending of skyscrapers does hint at a more major city...birdwithteeth11 wrote:Personally, I voted for Penn's Grove that day, because it was the only city I hadn't been to yet. By the time I noticed Chicago was a new option, it was too late.Keterman wrote:Same here. And although it goes against the pet theory at the moment, I'm more weary of those who didn't vote Chicago. A new city to check out and they didn't vote for it? Why the lack of curiosity? Do they already know what the rest of us were going to find out?Bullzeye wrote:Of course I voted to go to Chicago. It was an entirely new place and I assumed everyone would be drawn there. Go read my posts, I said on the last night in Wilmington I thought that since a lot of people would presumably vote for the new place that Chicago would be a good place for discussion and building theories. How was I to know where DH had voted? We were in separate threads. There's no connection between me and him just a few minor interactions given more importance than they deserve. I've already established that he didn't help me get my fight on day two in any way and nor have I defended him against any accusers while they were present in the same thread.unfurl wrote:Fair point about DP!
haha, i can not help to notice Bullz name is among the people wanted to go to chicago,
as I voted for the previous period
and then people say they dont see a connection bewteen him and DH

Re: [NIGHT 5] Fight Club Mafia
The theories on the importance of fighting actually do make a lot of sense. At this point, Tyler has enough people to recruit that I'm not worried about expanding the pool with the remaining four (including me). If anything, keeping us out of the pool makes us more likely NK targets, as I assume will eventually happen, because we can't be a possible asset to Project Mayhem. So I'm willing to jump in, along with... Hedge? Idk.

Re: [DAY 5] Fight Club Mafia
Although I've been pushing the "original cities don't mean anything" thing a bit, and some of Bullz's posts suggest that mentality, I don't think the case is as clear as it's being made to be. Been reading and still nothing sticks out... I hate to do it, but I'm randomizing. Wait to get some more info, especially in as big a game as this. So, my apologies to Metalmarsh89.
