That being said I've been in a number of games where people take their ball and go home and it sucks every time but its also not alignment indicative every time. Short story long I think the least suspicious thing about Sprityo's play is his grumpy "leave me alone" turn today. The most suspicious thing about Sprityo's play is what I've said since D1, his abdication of responsibility and hunting D1.

I'd take Eloh's "DH is bad and just wanted people to do what he wanted" thing more seriously if I had torched her yesterday for...not doing what I asked.

I asked everybody to case someone else. Difficult for me to see how asking people to participate and case people was me wanting to control the thread. Dunno.

Considering you were townreading Elo AND you were the one who pulled the trigger on Luna, this surprises me a little. Did Elo's pursuit of Luna factor into your own suspicion towards Luna or nah?

I agree with you that there was a change in Quin's behavior from Day 1+2 to now, but I'm not sure what it means.

I torched Luna because she "didn't think it mattered" who she suspected D2. She picked Poutanko, put together something that she eventually said was nothing, backed off Poutanko immediately, and then bounced between Colin and Quin to make up for that. That exchange didn't sit right with me. I considered Eloh's suspicion and Poutanko's case-ish of Luna in my decision.

You're right I was townreading Eloh. I'm hesitant to call her Luna case/reads "fake" because that's a pet peeve of my own, so I wasn't really giving much credence to an Eloh torching (and she's low on my list of preferred targets even now) but her post about Luna here Rings way too many bells for me.

Only at the end of her post when she says "like I did" does she relate Luna's lynch/suspicion to anything related to her (the chief Luna Suspector). It felt wormy and deliberately "Luna did this to herself".

So I guess in summary I was town-reading and didn't really suspect Eloh for being "fake" or "fabricating" her Luna case/suspicion because

1) I don't like being called fake myself, so I didn't want to nail Eloh down for being "fake" when she could just as easily be trying.
2) I found other things that Luna did suspicious
3) Eloh was actively casing and participating

And I'm no longer comfortable "town-reading" Eloh because of the post I linked.

TH here are some of my thoughts:

Quin - I'm gonna keep beating this drum. Top 5 post count, Day 1 and Day 2 he did nothing. Day 3 he jumps on the Flamethrower Holder's top (or current?) suspect Sprityo. Meh.

Eloh - Normally I'd start this with "Given Luna's flip", but this set up cuts that avenue of investigation off. Regardless, even if I haven't 100% seen it in the past, Eloh's pursuit of Luna does ring forced in some aspects of it, and her goodbye post to Luna essentially blames Luna for getting herself lynched.

Colin - INH made a solid case, and Colin's waffly D1 makes me feel sketchy about him.

Jack - I think everyone's hall pass has expired by D3, if Jack continues to stay on the outside of things discussion-wise, I'd be ok with him getting warm.

I think that covers just about the top of my list RE: who I'd be ok with torching today. Didn't rank them but I don't think I need to.

Possession of the flamethrower doesn't abdicate you from your normal civ duties my guy. I'm going to be wary AF of people who use the flamethrower as an excuse not to participate in discussion, vote for their suspects, etc.

"Appealing to the inactive crowd" and "Actually concerned with inactivity" are two separate issues RE: Sprit. In the latter, a Doc vote makes more sense I think. In the former, a Mac vote via randomizer is plausible.

Well my point being Sprityo's statement that he randomized between the non-voters and got Mac is a shade rank for a few reasons.

If one holds that Sprityo was going with the anti-inactive crowd so as not to ruffle feathers, Doc was the obvious choice so a Song-and-Dance around a Mac lynch seems unnecessary. But if he was genuinely concerned with inactivity, the logical pick would have been Doc. So the theory I'm gathering is that he picked Mac instead to head off what he anticipated would be a dangerous player once Mac got his sea legs.

My thoughts on Sprityo:

I don't like his D1 play very much if at all. I don't mind that he torched a non-voter, but I do mind that he didn't bother to offer his own input/reads/suspects all day and essentially coasted, to borrow a phrase from his D2 nova case. Speaking of Day 2, his nova interaction was a fair bit better than his Day 1 stuff even if parts of it I lean more on nova's side. I could see the argument against Sprityo for his Day 1 play and for picking Mac to torch tho.

Where's your head at TH? Top 5 suspects? Criteria for Torching?

Food for thought: The mafia targeted mafia last night. If we do a little nightkill analysis, it prompts the question: Who would the sk/mafia nightkill in this situation? Who would they have no reason to target?

Some possibilities I guess:

If the Killer was new or had history with a new/off-site non-syndicater they could have targeted within that circle. Nova, Pout, that crowd.

If the killer didn't want to ruffle feathers, they could have gone with a low or non-poster like Doc or Jack or Colin or DDL

If the killer wanted to cut a high poster/contributor, Me, Sprityo, TH fit that bill.

Of course with a rotating kill, kill analysis is gonna be tricky, made 10x trickier without a dead mafia to potentially work off of.

To keep Sprityo's tradition of passing the Torch alive I'll officially endorse TH.

My town play and scum play are very different. DDL and novase can tell you. It should be very easy to spot.

Poh's "town play and scum play are very different" She doesn't say how. And DDL and Nova (as far as I know) haven't said either. This could have been a great place to expound on meta, but she leaves it up to someone else. Could be consciously avoiding making mistakes here that could get herself caught if she's scum.

When I'm scum, people catch me quite easily (either it's because it's too obvious or not idk, I take that as yes it's that obvious since I often get D1 or D2 when I'm scum). As to how to read me? Hell if I know it myself on the specific. So yeah, ask DDL or novase if they can explain it
I'm sorry Poutanko. This is a rather lame start. I thought DH wanted each person to build a case on someone showing why that person could be scum, then place their vote on them. So that's what I did. But honestly your posts don't look scummy to me. But I posted anyways to keep with the spirit of the game that DH set forth. I'll place my vote elsewhere and if I have time today, do an analysis saying why.
