I've considered that it may be related to the Day 1 exchange we had. He did say something similar happened with Dom that rather ticked him off. I hope I didn't upset him that much.

And whoever asked (MP or Timmer, I can't be bothered to open another window as I'm typing this :P ) I don't think there is any really solid evidence that puts LC on a baddie team but he could be an indie?

Agreed. In the interest of making Bass a more valid option for discussion and to forestall a Dom bandwagon picking up steam, I'll vote now.
Perhaps most interestingly, Boom voted for Bass over Dom in the Sorcerers vs. Suits lynch. In his own words attempting to halt a Dom bandwagon. Why would he do that for someone who he had been going back and forth with the whole game?

Re: The Syndicate 2014 Game of Champions [Day 8]

1) Dom and Boomslang have several exchanges starting at D1 despite Dom voting for MetalMarsh and Boomslang voting for me. Despite their exchanges, Dom's vote for Boomslang never really mattered

He voted 16th overall (including host option) in the Day 1 lynch, giving Boom 3 votes when I'd already gotten 5 and MM had 3. Shortly thereafter, Boom voted for MM along with Eloh giving MM 7, pretty much knocking Boom out of the running

The only other time Dom voted for Boom, he voted late again (15th overall) and was one of only two people to do so.

2) Boomslang has made at least two posts that pinged me:
Boomslang wrote:I really am having trouble figuring out what to say this lynch. Obviously, I'm somewhat happy that Dom is getting attention, because I sure as hell don't deserve the tunnel vision hunt he's been throwing my way ever since Day 1. But jumping on that will make me seem bad, so... maybe I better keep my opinions to myself.
And
Boomslang wrote:Caught up, frankly still unsure what's going on. Just let it be noted that Dom has been gunning for me this whole game; I think that burnishes my civvie cred a bit.
The first seems odd, because why would a civ care if they sounded bad if they genuinely thought what they were saying was true?? The second is classic distancing.

3) Boomslang's noncommital votes, as I stated, bug me.

So yeah I can see Boomslang being a Sorcerer.

He's not been lynched, he HAS to still be around. He's been plenty active up until last night and all the inactives have been as such so since like N1.

Why are you willing to be proven wrong about bea and not Daisy?

Why haven't you brought blooper up at all since the last time you said this:
My biggest suspect at the moment is actually Blooper because I thought timmer illustrated perfectly how she has played an illusive game. I mean, she CLEARLY voted for LC on D5, expecting another throw off vote, and had no idea others were going to follow her -- and based on a ping she had left over from D1. I just don't see how that's a viable reason to vote for someone at this stage.
Honestly dude.

Anyway, I don't always vocalize my thoughts word-for-word for everybody to look at. I'm by no means over Boomslang OR Made, but right now Daisy is the most compelling lynch option.

Even though none of them really made sense, since we've seen failed kills before; they always mention the target (see timmer on N6).

This makes me wonder if you're a Suit and you're protecting a non-participant teammate. :ponder:

You also say all kinds of things and don't follow through with them. You keep saying Made could be bad, let's talk about Made... and now you gun after Daisy today, citing the main reasons are that I am defending her. But I've been defending her for CYCLES now.

Look, I get it, SD is your fiance and probably your narrator. Anybody who looks at your panicked posts today can probably come to the same conclusion that you don't want her lynched, but the facts are stacked against that.

- Sabie, Lizzy, or any other low poster (it's OBVIOUS the Suits missed their PM, so if there are 2 of them, 1 of them is definitely a low poster)

What happened to your Made case?

And what happened to everyone wanting to look at Boomslang, including you?

I'm starting to think you're bad again.
Made could be a suit I suppose, and he didn't vote in the Dom/Bass lynch which allows for the "at least one suit missed the vote" theory. I still want to look at him, I still want to look at Boom, but the evidence against SD (including your defending her, No Uing for her, threatening the thread, and her sudden guilt trip) Outweigh that, at least as it stands right now. If SD is lynched and *IS NOT* a suit, that would mean both suits missed the vote, and would tell us a lot.

Timmer, again, voted third for DF. There simply are not enough buses to account for that many teammates throwing other teammates under them.

In fact now that you mention it, during the Made/Llama lynch, SD also voted Llama (a civ). So, that is another point against her. :consoling:

Re: The Syndicate 2014 Game of Champions [Day 8]

Funny you should say that SVS. Don't be mad at me but:

Dom
7
Long Con (5), Spacedaisy (6), DharmaHelper (8), timmer (9), Turnip Head (13), S~V~S (15), Snow Dog (18)

1) Long Con - Extremely Anti-Suit, despite never actually voting to lynch a suit as far as I can tell. Was he silenced at one point by the Warden? Could be a team-target but IDK, again, not *really* seeing the baddie LC as much as I had been in the past.

2) Spacedaisy - Likeliest of the Dom voters to actually be a suit, IMO

3) Myself - Civvie

4) Timmer Not likely to be bad at this point, if maybe an indie

5)TH Not likely to be bad at this point

6) SVS Not likely to be bad at this point

7) Snow Dog, Sorcerer and for some reason the last to vote Dom, another Sorcerer) Boddy blackmail? Hatter? Would be an odd coincidence.

So, we know the identity of two of the Suits, with two remaining. Unfortunately, only *one* of the Dom voters fits the profile of a suit with any degree of confidence, and that's Daisy. Since it would be an incredible leap to assume that one suit voted to save Bass and another voted to save Dom, I'm forced to consider the likely scenario that one suit is in fact inactive.

Re: The Syndicate 2014 Game of Champions [Day 7]

Almost done catching up, but I did want to suggest to Russ (And anyone else who might be interested). I myself have been doing some homework looking for baddies and I find that cross-referencing the Bass/Dom lynch with the DF lynch really narrows the baddie field.

DFaraday
9
S~V~S (9), juliets (11), timmer (12), MovingPictures07 (13), bea (14), FZ. (15), Roxy (16), Bass_the_Clever (19), Turnip Head (21)
43%

Dom
7
Long Con (5), Spacedaisy (6), DharmaHelper (8), timmer (9), Turnip Head (13), S~V~S (15), Snow Dog (18)
37%

Long Con (No vote for DF, Early vote for Dom) - Honestly, if LC is bad at this point, he's an indy. I think he's got his wires crossed in regards to me, and considering his blow up after he thought he was being lynched, I would not be surprised if the majority of his case is just him being angry at me for "misrepresenting" him D1.

Spacedaisy - (No vote for DF, Early vote for Dom) Not voting for DF, and being one of the first to vote for Dom indicates two things to me: Firstly, Daisy is likely not a Sorcerer. Secondly, it is possible she is a suit and she deserves a re-read to see if she at any time defended DF or Bass or Made.

Myself - No vote for DF, Early/Mid vote for Dom. I know I'm a civ, so no point.

Timmer (Early vote for DF, Mid vote for Dom) - Given that the Dom/Bass lynch was all hands on deck for both teams, I doubt timmer would have voted for a teammate, so he can't be a sorcerer IMO. Could he be a suit? Not likely, given his early vote for DF.

TH - Voted late for both parties, Killed by suits. Likely civ.

Snow Dog - No vote for DF, Late vote for Dom. Again, given the nature of the Dom lynch, Snow is likely not a Sorcerer. Possible suit.

So my Suitspects are Snow Dog and SpaceDaisy, just going off those deductions.

Russtifinko wrote:Gah! Thought of one more thing. DH, on the Made vote-force thing. I couldn't find the post, but if TH did indeed support Made's vote-force claim, would that not lend it some credence? TH was killed by the Suits on N5, the team you're claiming Made is on.
I'm not disputing whether or not Made's vote was forced. What I'm pointing out is the level of support he got, namely by Bass. TH supporting him, (assuming TH was a civ) warrants some consideration, yeah. But all that means is that one of the people supporting Made was a civ, not that Made is a civ.

Re: The Syndicate 2014 Game of Champions [Day 7]

I confess to not having kept up with the thread today, but I will do my best to get back into it tomorrow. I will say that Made placing his vote on SVS really solidifies my thoughts on him being up to no good.

Yes, I almost forgot about the case on Made. I remember it being a good one but forget what was said. I will look into that again.

As far as the Dom/Bass lynch...here are the results.

Bass_the_Clever (9 votes) -
Elohcin (3), Dom (4), Boomslang (10), zeek (11), bea (12), nijuukyugou (14), Russtifinko (16), juliets (17), Roxy (19)

Dom (7 votes) -
Long Con (5), Spacedaisy (6), DharmaHelper (8), timmer (9), Turnip Head (13), S~V~S (15), Snow Dog (18)

Only 16 people voted. I assume some of the non voters were baddies. What do y'all think we can glean from this poll?

DH - can you recap you made case or post a link?

It started with his claiming his vote was forced, and the support that he got from people including Bass who we know is a baddie.

juliets wrote:I just want to say when it comes to LC, that hissy fit he threw after he thought he was going to be lynched and before the post, made me believe he is probably good or possibly an indy. I just can't see him doing that if he was bad - he would look like an idiot if he had said that stuff and then been bad. The poorest of poor sports. I understand that some people will see this exactly opposite of me but thats ok. I bring it up just to see if it has any bearing on the way others think about LC.

I also agree that the Made case needs another look. DH, do you remember who made that case? There have been so many cases lately. Taking a look at the Bass/Dom vote again isn't a bad idea either.

Also, has anyone else taken a look at Mongooses posts? There is no substance and that makes me nervous. Also she didn't post for a long period of time - 7 days I think - when she was only supposed to be gone on vacation for 4. Worries me when people don't post for long periods in a game, especially if it's longer than they said they would be not posting. Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has taken a look.
I'm pretty certain I brought Made up as a suspect initially.

I still think the Made Case is something to consider. Also, we should look at the Dom/Bass lynch very carefully. Two baddies being the only options, stands to reason that Suits voted Dom and Sorcerers voted Bass

You're contradicting yourself, Eloh.
How so?

I'm curious then: What do people think of juliets, Blooper, zeek, Daisy, Elo, and Russ? Those were the later voters in the stages of yesterday, and most of them voted for LC, but not all of them.

I'll be busier today, but I'll be back probably before D7 starts. If people want to wait until then to discuss, that's fine too.
Study the DF lynch and the Dom/Bass Lynch, and I think you'll see a number of those names also come up.

I was just tampering with a project of mine and actually said the words "this game has been designed to give participating players a distinct competitive advantage over non-participating players" and then I died a little inside.

The back and forth between him and DH makes me think that LC was actually being quite defensive (more than necessary). He also seemed to be digging at DH's supposed "mudslinging then backing off," but I found DH's defense of himself to be sound (one can suspect something, then back off when it's proven by others or situations that that suspicion might be unfounded). Although DH can be a master of deception, from my little experience with him, he doesn't give me the baddie vibes today (he was more lighthearted and less argumentative when I played with him in Misfits). Anyway, that's what pings me the most Day 1, so I'll be going with that.
Here's a post from Nijuu. Defensive of DH from the get-go. :eye: :eye: :eye:
Yeah pretty neat how I defended you from that bandwagon and named her as my top suspect aint it.
Re the first post: Sorry I forgot to thank you for your sympathies regarding the last lynch. It's true I have been focusing on myself too much, and not giving appreciation to guys like you who, despite being on opposite sides of the Mafia melee, can keep it real like that and recognize some unusual craziness.

Re the second post: Yes, I know. It's a point to think about. I went back to search her posts to see if she was actually suspecting me for just the Rey vote on Day One, and I found that defense of you interesting enough to share.

And I could be wrong, and she's a Civ, and she just legit suspects me, and you are fine with taking her down because she's not on your team. Or you're teammates, and your recent post was high-quality distancing. I am trying not to be biased with my opinion on that one, not because I'm unsure of your baddieness, but because I'm unsure of Nijuu's connection to you.
