Re: Blue Velvet Mafia {DAY 3}
After the rain is done, and just before the man is set to collect his $500, four more men come into town.
"That's the guy who says he can make it rain." they say, pointing at the fellow.
"You know him?" say the townsfolk.
"Yeah, he owes each of us $100."

Re: Blue Velvet Mafia {NIGHT 2}
A man walks into town one morning, straight into the saloon.
He gathers the attention of the townsfolk and says "It'll rain tomorrow." which the townsfolk can't possibly believe, because it has been the longest drought in history.
So the guy says "Fine, I'll bet $500 dollars it rains tomorrow." and the townsfolk, eager to make money, take him up on the bet.
The next day it rains.
How interesting.

Looking at the lynch at the moment, it is between a guy posting, either intentionally or by role design, in an annoying way, or a guy who seems to have thrown in the towel and is self-voting.
I\ve read the LC/Epig thing twice through, but I can't help feel like they are just picking at each other. I'm more interested in Epig's stance on nutella atm but yeah, this lynch seems built on a bunch of substandard stuff, and I include my own current vote in there

@Epig, I just iso'd your posts for the word nutella, and read through them. Am I correct that your stance on nutella essentially boils down to the use of the word pushing? Have the more recent posts bolstered this in your eyes, or are things roughly the same?
@DH, you've got your vote on G-Man. He is only 1 vote off of being tied for the lynch, but one of his votes is his own self, and the other besides yours is a player asking for replacement and thus not around. I'm curious if this situation causes you to think MORE that G could be bad, or if the situation seems likely that he isn't? Where are you on G atm?
I don't think Dyslexicon wanting to be replaced and also having voted for G-Man has any impact. G-Man's self vote I guess gives me some pause but I'm honestly up in the air about where the hell else to vote :P

Re: Blue Velvet Mafia {DAY 2}
Spoiler: show
---
I've placed the above quotes/snippets in spoiler tags in case this post gets too long as a result.
Blue Points: Long Con suggests Epi's only contributions to the game so far have been to focus on Dyslexicon, which Epi refutes ("False.") As proof, Epi offers up a post of his where he asks Nutella to clarify what she meant by "pushing" in regards to the Ricochet/PopTart thing. Long Con doesn't think this is sufficient proof that Epi has done more than accuse Dyslexicon in the game so far. Epi Conflates this (intentionally?) with the idea that, in real life, he's been busy.
Orange Points: LC asks Epi who else he thinks is bad. After he gets no response to this question, he accuses LC of steering away from that particular discussion to avoid having to answer. Epi responds by saying that was the first time LC ever asked him for his thoughts on players, and then quotes a post which contains the original question ("and who else do you think is bad?")

Re: Blue Velvet Mafia {DAY 2}
Epi, whom do you suspect as the day draws closer to ending? A couple of cases have been floated around, so I'd like to get a sense of where you stand on at least some of them. Or, if you have some insight on a different suspicion that would be cool too.

Doing the latter may take me all but right up to the lynch deadline. If I shirk domestic productivity, what are the odds that I'm just accused of being a try-hard now that I have votes? Because if my efforts have a high probability of being dismissed and I get lynched anyway, I'll just be productive and let you lynch me.

Re: Blue Velvet Mafia {DAY 2}
This'll be the last I make reference to anything Rico related.
I understand from a player-to-player level the desire to make fun gimmicks and such, but a gimmick has to strike a balance between being fun and actually participating in the hunt for mafia/baddies.
The question is, does Rico's gimmick do that? I don't think it does. I can't think of a single coherent thought or suspicion he's put out that wasn't "X thinks I'm bad for being Pop-Tart, so X must be bad." I invite Rico to correct me on this. (Technically I already did and he willfully chose not to, but we'll get to that)
The next point I want to make is - Does this PopTart business make Rico a baddie? Doing a gimmick might not mean someone is bad, but hiding behind that gimmick to the point where you aren't offering anything to discussion does not indicate, to me, a town lean (as the kids say these days).
Now, maybe all that was incidental. Maybe Rico just wanted a bit of fun and means well. That being said, multiple people have expressed concerns with the gimmick for multiple reasons. I personally don't care if he sings whatever he wants to sing all game, all I want to see is some form of actual baddie hunting. What gets me is that I (and several others) asked for this, and were rebuffed. (which is a word I don't have to look up, Epi)
IMO, if Rico was serious about looking for mafia it would be worthwhile to break character or incorporate those answers into the gimmick. Yoink.
