As for LC, if not for the llama disaster, I might have said LC is looking too civvie like, but we all know where that led usI can't read him. I see no real difference from previous games, and in order for me to consider voting him, I need something more fishy from him. Right now, I'm not seeing it
I laughed out loud at the Timmer curse, if it's in fact a curse. It's making it really hard to figure out who MM is talking about, but it sure makes for a good laugh.
Welcome back Bass. It rules out the possibility of old Bass having any relationship with any other player in the game. That, or BWT was that person, which is very unlikely. I'll be interested to see how the new Bass acts.
I'm not done reading, but did it make you change your mind at all regarding SVS, DH?

Maybe you should make a case if you want people to respond to it. It's not easy to respond to "I don't feel good about him".
Now I understand your whole "That was my read of the situation" comment, but my read of the situation is that LC is calling Llama's tactic heavy-handed, not FZ's case. And that there is no turnaround, but a follow-through in the post you quoted.Spacedaisy wrote:So, I am frankly not feeling Log Con this game at all. Allow me to explain what I see so far that I really don't like...
When FZ brings up her case this was his initial case. Unless I am misreading it, it appears as though LC thinks it is heavy handed for Llama. Which would imply that he finds it difficult to swallow. I could be misreading this though....Long Con wrote:So llama is deliberately trying to act in such a way that is like a previous Civ game? Is that supposed to make us think he's Civ in this one? Kind of heavy handed.
If I am not, his turnaround to this next post seems odd. Especially since he didnti say anything regarding llama in the intervening posts.
Long Con wrote:My vote is going to Llama, not that it will matter much for now, for playing the "just like Civvie Llama in X-Men" too hard. I also thought that the post about other ways Llama is "acting too Civvie-Llama" was a good read.

One offhanded sarcastic remark does not equal pushing.blindfaeth wrote:MM must be cursed. I'll answer you in the morning I'm trying to get off to bed because boogs is waiting.
I'll just say before I go that it makes me uneasy that DH is trying to push the whole "oh how many baddies have you caught" routine, when in this game since they didn't start with BTSC and don't know each other, it doesn't matter. He's used that theory in his case against SVS and now he's using it again tonight and can't seem to grasp this concept. Sorry, but your lynch of bass = absolutely no civ cred, as much as you want it to, not happening, so don't act like it should.
Linki, I am frustrated with the bass lynch lol. Because we lynch someone who says cheat but not the elephant in the room who's using wifom to the extreme
Keep twisting my words like this and you're gonna wish you were the one doing all that stretching dude.

I think you will have a hard time selling that bass 1.0 had made contact with his team since the host allowed him to sub in DH.
I'm suspicious of DH tbh,he based that entire case on that small possibility.
Anyway, I still don't feel good about LC. Bullz either but you let me know when y'all are ready, since we will lynch people for saying "cheat" but not for blatantly refusing to help the civs, trying to push an obvious agenda that I was a detective so his pals could off me, etc![]()
Now that I mention it, maybe I can get DH lynched for using "non air quote" air quotes, since our last two lynches have been hectic, unpredictable and for lack of a better word, dumb.

1. SVS (to borrow a phrase) "glomped" onto FZ's questioning of my vote, which felt odd to me. Taken by itself it is not damning evidence however; SVS is 90% likely to jump down my throat at any given game for any given reason. When I looked into it, that cracked the suspicion wide open for me.
2. SVS Made several Pro-Bass posts. She tried to downplay these as instead "not particularly suspicious of Bass" posts. As I pointed out, she called him "civvie-ish", called the lynch against him sketchy several times (awful, not feeling it, etc), and outright advocated on his behalf with regards to TH. These are not the actions of someone who considers Bass "not particularly suspect". Her downplaying of these remarks rings untrue to me. For example, she would have us believe that calling Bass's actions "civvie-ish" wasn't meant to imply that she thought he was a civ. Well, that's just plain susp-ish.
I've pulled several quotes already, and highlighted a lot of what I've talked about in this post, so I encourage you to go back and look at those if you have any questions regarding what it is SVS did and did not say.
In closing, There are two scenarios I can see that account for SVS's behavior.
1. She is Blacksmith and either recruited Bass N1 or planned to recruit him after seeing what Timmer pointed out
2. She is bad and wanted to keep Bass alive, so that they could get recruited together down the line.

Why do people assume I want credit?FZ. wrote:If I could curse Epig, he'd have to use 10 adverbs in every post :P
DH, apart from saying Bass was cursed, did you say he was manipulating it? Because I remember you talking about a curse, but I don't remember anything else, which is why I said props to TImmer. If I missed something and you deserve more credit, then by all means, I'm giving it to you![]()
While TImmer's speculation was a long shot, it was logical enough to convince me it could be true, and if so, I believe there were probably more people who thought it could actually be true. Which is why I think that people not voting for him might have done so to try and save someone who could potentially be in alignment with them, so saying that someone didn't know because baddies don't have BTSC might not be accurate in this instance.
That said, SVS' vote looks too fishy to be true. I'd think she would try a more subtle way then to call his lynch awful, but that's just me.
Since I'm still far from convinced Bullz is bad, I think some of his voters could easily be bad.
Aceofspaces' vote is looking quite bad, to be honest, and BlackRock's as well. Also, she's more absent than any of the recent games I've played with her. What's your opinion of her, LC?

I was pointing out to LC other instances of your being Pro-Bass. Not just in your lynch vote post.S~V~S wrote:EBWOP~ just because a person is proven correct about a suspicion, does not make suspicions leading up to that point invalid. Had i known Bass was bad, then I would have lauded your wisdom. I didn't, so I questioned your vagueness.
Yes, DH, then when you FINALLY explained it, I said, "Thank You, DH" and backed off.

Long Con wrote:That's true, S~V~S, and I don't find your questioning of DH to be suspicious. It's easy to drop "oh, that's his baddie game", but it's more of a test to get some details... I think you approached it the right way.
On the flip side, even though you were satisfied with DH, your vote post is more pro-Bass than any other player.
It's anti-Turnip Head, which makes sense, because it's a vote post on him. You specifically mention two different things that I read as a Bass-saving attempt: "I'm not feeling any of the B-Boy votes" obviously includes Bass, but in a not-directly-referring-to-Bass kind of way, and then mentioning a short time later that TH's reasons for voting Bass are weak.S~V~S wrote:I am not feeling any of the B-Boy votes.
I am going to vote for Turnip Head. I think his reasons for voting Llama were weak, I think his reasons for voting Bass are weak, too. TH takes voting seriously, and puts lots of thought into his votes when he's a civ, even if he does not post every thought. Todays vote i can get, he is working, he's is playing the Champs game, he's stretched thin. But his Llama vote was weaker than I expect from TH, even for Day 1.
I don't expect him to get lynched, but I want him to know I'm paying attention
I would like the answer to this. He's fighting pretty hard not to be cheated () which feels pretty civvie-ish to me.
Why the? How is this like his baddie game?
Do you rally think that's so odd for Day 2?
I am not sure on Bullz, and I don't think BF is bad. I am not seeing the case on Bass, either. Especially the way this lynch is forming up, this feels awful, lol.

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 2)
All of those posts of yours I quoted wherein you jump down my throat regarding my Bass vote occur in a very short window of time, thats what I mean when I say you enthusiastically (uh oh LC, Those adwhatevers are back) defended Bass/attacked my vote.S~V~S wrote:What enthusiasm? I thought your vote was vague. I said so. And I thought your vote was vague (and it WAS). Then when you explained it, I said, "Thank You DH" and never brought it up again.

For Reference, SVS practically tripping over FZ to get at the front of the "Save Bass" line.

Linki ~ last time we lynched Sophie for being too quiet, she was just a busy civ. So maybe that's it.
Linki~ why, LC?
Linki~ Thank DH. At least I can understand that, although I am not sure I agree.

To be fair, I'm hardly responsible for the Bass lynch being a success. I was just personally correct, which is an achievement for myself. Several others seemed to think he was bad.Spacedaisy wrote:Well done DH!

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 2)
I'm making an effort to be polite because most of the vibe I'm getting in terms of his baddieness is coming from his last game as a baddie (Death Note) which was the worst mafia experience I've ever had and has probably soured me from playing mafia for a very long time, which has a lot to do with my own absence in this game.FZ. wrote:DH, you give these generic answers: "I don't trust him", "he doesn't seem honest" and "some of his answers remind me of his baddie game". Come on, you can do better.
What is it about his answers that remind you his baddie game?
But his first vote was exactly the suspicious "I agree with all this so Vote X" type of vote that I called him out on in Death Note, was correct in doing so, but got shut down on for rather underhanded reasons. This curse thing doesn't smell right, and I really can't shake the vibe I'm getting from his posts.
