And, LC, I'll be totally shameless: in honor of your win and totally snowing me in this game, you should totally donate to my cause to fight childhood cancer. Seriously--no donation is too small, and can make a huge difference. Cancer sucks.

Thanks for the great game, hosts!
Lorab, great Mafia detective work at the end there, everything you said was exactly right. I just wish that you had gone for the golden apple I was offering - if only you had killed Boogs that night, thinking I would vote to lynch Bullz and win with you.
Boogs, sorry I had to lead you on like that. I figured that you would choose Lorab to win if I had let it slip at all in the end there.
Juliets.... ah, Juliets. Iprobably couldn't have done this without you. You brought up the notion that I was Indy just like in King Arthur on Rev, and I was like... yes... yes I am! It was my ticket to victory.
I truly regret that Bullzeye did not live to the end, we were so close buddy! You lost a coin toss, that's all it came down to. Well, that or Lorab's crazy baddie sense of honour toward Boogs.Great teammate.
I want to apologize to Bullz and Boogs for the scathing posts I made on their gameplay. I cast them in the worst light that I could in order to try and trick Lorab into believing that I would choose to win with her as an Indy, but only as long as she nightkilled Boogs instead of Bullz... but it was to no avail. Great game, both of you!

And everything I said was honest end game (whole game, really, other than "I'm civ")--I didn't think I had a chance at all. And I did the best I knew how. I completely respect how you played it out. And I would have done the same. Hell, even if you were civ or indy, I would have played it out how you did.
As for killing Bullz, it wasn't just sense of honor--it also made more sense for me. Especially thinking at that point that she was the only other baddie out there. Fuck. I should have realized your shenanigans when you went with "oh no boogs is bad!" and switched my kill to you then. I had suspected an even/odd thing and didn't want to risk another nk on boogs regardless. Part of why I felt good making a deal with him (also honor).

Ah. He said a few things that made me think he had the info I did--especially the bit about Bullz and he kept mentioning cats having so many lives. That's quite funny. I said a few things that were targeted at the idea he got what I got. Alas.Roxy wrote:No LoRab Prince Herbert got the info only splints got it every night not every other night.
Boogs could only find out if someone was a KOTRT on even nights.
His comment was aimed right at Arthur....Patrelli.bea wrote:And I know if canuck could have been here she'd say the same thing:LoRab wrote:I <3 my team!!
I assume Boogs got the same info as I did every other night (although I don't see it written in his role, but I only skimmed). I was rather amused when I figured that out.
And I would argue that he didn't really info dump because the information was pretty ambiguous, and may or may not have been true.
@LC: How did you know I had tried to kill you?
We <3 you. Srrsly - an amazing set of women to have bts with and lorab is easily the best of us. I learn something new from her every time we play together.![]()
TBH, reading along, I didn't TRUELY realize that LC was bad till he threw in the comment about the indy switching sides. Our info had me thinking he might be Arthur long into the game. But that comment was aimed right at you. And our team.

You ladies rocked. We made it so far.
Who ended night early on the night that the prizes were going out for whatever contest that was that only Knuk and Bea that entered (picture or poem or something)? Had that gone longer, we would have gotten rez to win and rezzed MR, a confirmed civ, who would have been on our team because KNuk had found him (after he was dead, lol). But then I didn't think of that or vote until it was too late. Interesting how the game would have played out if that happened.
Thank you to hosts and teammates and all the players, really, for an amazing game. I haven't had this much fun playing mafia in a very long time. Thanks for ending my brief hiatus and making it a good comeback.

I haven't decided yet where my vote is going. I think you're bad, and if I'm right, then you've played masterfully, and to a degree might deserve the win. Then again, voting out a civ would be the baddie thing for me to do--but if I'm right, then you'd kill me tonight and I hand you the game. Also, I think a 3 way tie might be fun. In the end, I'll probably vote for you, but we'll see.

Re: Day 16 Monty Python and the Holy Grail
No, I honestly think you're bad.
And I think his post indicates that he might still win.
And my neck has been on the line since the last lynch.
And I see what you're saying with Sandman, but if Bullz still had a recruit, then why wouldn't he have used it. It's not part of his role or DF's. I can't see it matching in terms of balance. And I can't see a way that the other team has another recruitment built into their roles and if it were built into their team, then Bullz would have recruited someone at some point. And his ranting about how he's been all alone the whole game wouldn't make sense. I think he was lying. I don't I think he either wasn't alone or he recruited one of the 2 of you. And, honestly, LC, you seem more likely. That he and Boogs would have done that much distancing to continually go after each other--it just doesn't make sense.
2 plus a recruit and 3 plus a recruit just isn't balanced. And if he did have another recruit, then there has to be another baddie left on the other team.
Besides, I'm not convinced that there are any indies left in this game. And you pulled the "oh no, I'm neutral," card out at a convenient time. Dropping it subtly so you can allow others to convince themselves.

Re: Day 15 Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Wait. The more I think about this, the more I think LC is bad.
There was something off about how he said KNuk and I were kissing up to him to appease him by saying he was civ. But here's the thing--that only makes sense if he wasn't civ. When I kiss up to him in games because I want to keep him away from me, I do it by innocent flirting and compliments--not by saying what his alignment is. And how is saying he's civ when he's civ-aligned and he's being accused in the thread really make sense as sucking up? It only makes sense as an accusation if I was completely wrong about him.
Also, this line from Bullz doesn't really make sense if he didn't still have a chance to win as a dead baddie:

Re: Day 16 Monty Python and the Holy Grail
I had pretty much no chance once knuk was killed. I have no protections left. I would have likely been lynched today anyway.
My only chance at not losing was to throw my cards on the table and hope for the best. If I'm lunched, I'll die.
The other option going on here, of course is that you're actually a baddie on the other team. And after you dropped the idea in the thread that you were neutral and boogs picked it up, you ran with it. I don't find out until tonight if I inherited the other team's kill. We have no confirmation that the other team is gone. And, in fact, it doesn't really make sense for the other team to have been smaller. 2 players and a recruit seems unbalanced with another team of 3 players and a recruit. Maybe you're just evil and I've been reading you wrong this entire game.

And thank you.Long Con wrote:Anyways, compliments to Lorab for the great game, but don't expect me to side with you against Boogs tomorrow. I'm going to win this with the Civs, and since you think they deserve it, I'm sure you will understand completely.
I'm aware that such things hang on for a long time, having done that myself. And, technically speaking, I think you're neutral not indy. But that's just semantics.
I will not fault you for voting with Boogs. However, I'd ask you to consider. If you really do think I played the best game, then shouldn't you win with me?
Or, to make things interesting, you could not vote and let the fates decide.

@LC: If he's a recruit, it's for the other team. Galahad would have been our recruit, but he died before KNuk found him to recruit.
Also Boogs is totally not my recruit. That would be the most hilarious distancing ever, plus he'd have voted for you yesterday. Unless he is my recruit and we've been distancing the whole time?

I'd rather see the civies win over the other baddies, yes, especially with Bullz's last several posts. And if I went back on my word and killed boogs, I don't think you'd take my side.Long Con wrote:That is the best course of action. I've been playing this role as Civvie all game, and if Lorab truly thinks the Civvies deserve to win this, then she will do them a favour and kill Bullzeye tonight.
I honestly won't believe it until I see it though. I can see two endgame plans for Lorab both of which involve faith in someone. She can kill Bullz and hope that Boogs will vote against me tomorrow, then kill him and win... Or she can kill Boogs tonight and give me the choice between two baddies to win with, having faith that I would choose her over Bullzeye.
I think, out of all of us, Boogs has struggled the most and deserves the win the most. If Lorab truly believes that, then she will bow out gracefully and kill Bullzeye tonight. I just don't know that all the fight is gone out of her, or if she's just faking it. I guess we'll see in about 9 hours.
@Bullz: The game wasn't stolen from you. You just assumed that things would work out in a way that they didn't. And, although we haven't had a successful kill since night 7, I wouldn't call our team a non-entity. I've fought hard to get this far. I'll fight my hardest tomorrow.

You can't kill me because you can't double-target.
You have to kill either Boogs or Bullz.
If you kill Bullz, then tomorrow, the lynch will be me, you, and Boogs. You will have to convince Boogs that I am bad in order to get him to lynch me, and you have to further convince him that you will not simply kill him the following night and win the game. You have certainly been laying the groundwork for that with your "The Civs deserve to win" talk, but I don't believe that Boogs is going to fall for it.
If you kill Boogs, then I am left with a choice between two baddies to lynch. You would have to convince me to lynch Bullz and win with you, rather than lynch you and win with Bullz. That's a conversation best left until tomorrow, from my point of view.
And why do you think I targeted you?
So you assume Bullz to be bad?

I disagree. But that's what keeps mafia interesting--different ways to think through strategy.
I hope I survive. If I do, as I've said, I will not kill boogs. Whether or not I'll use my kill at all remains to be seen.
If I don't survive, it will be interesting to see how things play out. Because the game won't end. At this point, I think Bullz is most likely to be the other baddie. Then LC. I doubt boogs has been recruited, although with these hosts, who knows.

I didn't say there weren't recruitments--I said that it wasn't one big massive baddie team that recruits everyone.
And 2 reasons about baddies killing baddies. 1 is honor among thieves. 2 is I think it's poor strategy to have killed her. Had they kept KNuck around, they could have had 2 more lynches with focus completely on other people.
And I do mean it. I think the civs deserve it over the other baddie team. I'm willing to work with them. And I keep my promises in mafia games. I'm noble like that.

@LC: The other team killed my teammate. Of course I don't want them to win.
I will not show up bad. The game will end tonight with a baddie victory thanks to your vote. You say you haven't lynched me to 'further your game' which suggests you've always known deep down I'm a civ and have wanted me to survive because my death would reflect badly on you, so I'm not sure why this has changed now unless you really are recruited as LC has suggested. If you're still civ, we would have won together if you'd just voted LoRab. I strongly advise trying to change your vote if the hosts will allow you to, since I know how important winning is to you. Lorab has promised not to kill you but promises from a baddie mean nothing. I can't believe how easily she tricked you. The most decent, honest, and trustworthy people outside mafia can still be cutthroat and dangerous in the game.Boogs wrote:If Bullzeye doesnt show up bad then LC was lying and isnt Indy and killed Canuck. And yes, but we killed them on nights 1 and 3. We had no clue they were bad.
And I keep my promises. I won't kill boogs tonight. And the game won't end if I die this round. There is another baddie team left. You are sounding more and more like a desperate baddie, by the way. Trying to convince everyone that I'm the only baddie left in the room and that there's one big, bad recruiting mafia team. What it really sounds like is you want me gone so you can get my kill.

Thank you, Boogs. I really am being honest here. I will not kill you tonight.
@LC: The other team killed my teammate. Of course I don't want them to win.

I didn't imply that my opinion was based on Boogs' posts....although I think I knoew where he was coming from. Regardless, my current suspicion of you comes from 1. your posts and 2. numbers.Bullzeye wrote:Unlike you, I do want a civ win. It's why I've voted for you. Boogs never had info on me and he knows it. I actually went to the hosts to ask why he was pushing info he didn't have and whether that was actually allowed.
And I do want civs to win over other baddies. They have played a better game.

I know I can't win. I think that other than me there are 2 baddies and 1 civ. Or maybe 1 baddie, 1 civ, 1 indy.
At this point, I'd rather see a civ win rather than an other baddie win.
Your protestations make me strongly believe you're on the other baddie team and that boogs was right all along.

Re: Day 15 Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Knuk was on my team. We did not have the kill last night. There is another team. I suspect you're on it, tbh.Bullzeye wrote:If there's definitely another baddie then it would have to be LC I guess but there's no guarantee another team exists. Canuck could have died to a redirect and you could just be using that as evidence of two teams. It doesn't matter anyway. Boogs needs to vote you and then if the game isn't over we'll know you were right. Either way if there are two teams the civs have already lost and you're just trying to make sure it isn't your team in third place.
If I am not killed, then the civies still have a chance. If I am killed then the other baddies will for sure win.
If the civs keep me around this round, then they stilll have a chance to win. If they do not, then their chance is gone. I will cooperate with them because I think they deserve it more than the other baddies.
I hope they realize I have integrity and that my word is worth something. If they want a chance to win, they will vote with me.

I know that the other baddie team has at least 1 person. I know it's likely there's 2. So, either you and LC are both bad or just one of you...you think it's LC?

@Boogs: I know you're civ. I'm sorry I didn't realize that before. But, really, your only chance at winning this is to vote with me. I'll vote for whomever you say. I think Bullz is most likely bad--LC could possibly be indy. But I'll go with whomever you say. And I promise to not try to kill you tonight. I'll even skip my kill. Honestly, your only chance at winning is for us to vote together. If you vote for me, you will lose. There is no way that will not happen. I beg you to open the door so that there's a chance at winning.

Re: Day 15 Monty Python and the Holy Grail
By my estimates, based partly on assuming that in a balanced game, there are the same number of players on the baddie teams, there are 2 players left on the other baddie team. I'm on team just me. Maybe, if there are major built in protections, there's only 1 on the other team, but I somehow doubt that.
That means there's 1 civ left. I'm not buying that LC is indy. And I give him much cred for totally snowing me this game, because at this point, I doubt he's civ. I just don't think it likely.
I implore the civ that's left to work with me. And if LC is indy, or even civ, and there's only 1 other baddie out there, then it would be lovely if he could change his vote.

Seriously, the numbers are such that they're pretty much guaranteed a baddie win if you vote me out.

Yeah, I'd consider it. If there were no suspicion on me and I could buy another day of someone else having all the suspicion? I might risk it for sure.
And I've seen baddies do crazier things.
I don't have an explanation for why the lynch switched. I'm trying to think of possibilities.

Both is venture to guess. Frame me and kill a civ without having to use an nk. Plus it keeps the focus on it their team for yet another day. It might not be what you would do, but that doesn't mean pone would do it.

Re: Day 14 Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Because baddies have never framed someone before. Right.
I think someone switched the lynch to kill Dana, not to save me.
I'm not bad. I didn't switch the lynch. I didn't have someone else switch the lynch for me.
I didn't "turn" on you--I realized that boogs, whom I now understand to be civ, may have been onto something all along.

Re: Day 14 Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Or someone else to make me look bad, or get attention off them. I don't know.
At any rate, I'm going to use occam's razor to assume Boogs is in fact civ based on Dana's posts, now that we know her role. And trust that he might actually know what he's talking about with Bullz. And apologize for being totally off on him this game--I look forward to hearing what the frig he was up to.
Since I know LC is wrong about me, I'm not going to blindly follow him on a vote for KNuk. Nor do I know that he's good (still think he is, but who knows these days).
I'm voting Bullz.
