I feel ignorant. Can someone explain this to me like I'm an ignoramus cause obviously I am.
sig theorized before that Mac was Saitama and targeted him so he could only post one post during the day. Mac almost got lynched yesterday so now sig is saying that Mac as Saitama used his other power on Dizzy last night, janitoring the kill (making it so that Dizzy's role wasn't revealed) because he or the team feels like he (Mac) will be lynched today so he needed to use the power last night. Somebody correct this if I've got it wrong.

Here is the Saitama role:

Saitama - Each night, you will choose one player to be limited to a single post during the next day. You have a one-time nightkill survival, and once in the game you can janitor a kill you perform, giving you alone the result.
Thank u

I’m leery of Dom. A lot of his posts seem to be making points/arguments that expose someone’s bad logic but are not actual scumhunting. This in tandem with his tendency to just say “you’re scum” to people, in place of a crafted argument, gives me heeby jeebies. It is entirely possible I’m projecting because I butted heads with him so I’d like others to check him out.
BTW I fully expect Dom to say that he hasn’t said the words “you’re scum” in this game or whatever but I think you know what I mean.
Colin hasn't read my posts about Turnip Head, himself, or Mac. It's easier to lie about them.

Yeah, the sabie stuff was my biggest takeaway there. It also felt good to cross TH off the list after independently arriving at a town read on him earlier, but that only eliminates TH from being a member of one of the teams. It’s still theoretically possible he’s on the other team. I’ll call it unlikely though.
Oof. I was not liking TH at all today.
Why?
I asked Turnip who he'd vote for if his top suspect was not an option. He declined to answer. Later, I asked him if his analysis of something JJack posted actually made Jack bad or if he just didn't like it.
Turnip did not respond, but turned around and used that line on me later.

He says he civ reads me, but isn't engaging in good faith.

This is Mac's only post mentioning Radishes.
He is voting Radish.

When he came in, it was 2 on Mac and 3 on Radish.

He voted to make it 4 on radish.

.... why? Just to protect himself? Why Radish? Colin was right there too.
He was definitely in contention, but wasn't a lead wagon.

I asked for why Radishes, and I never learned why.

Now, Rob, you want to sit there and say it's silly that I am saying what I'm saying. But it's true. Mac has been entirely grievance based. He is not afraid to lie to meet his grievances. I have spoken at length about Colin and Turnip Head in particular. I have not been only about Mac. Mac makes the thread about Mac because he believes his personality will save him. Sometimes he is right.

He also literally said that I must be excited to see him get lynched because I personally dislike him. Not only do I think this is just about as toxic as you can get when playing the game, but I think that Mac is just desperate to not get lynched and really does not care who goes down. He hasn't been hunting. He does not act-- he only reacts.
I'm not going to talk about your personal disliking of each other (as I understand it). Wait, is this whole post directed at me? Am I "Sir?"

I'm confused.
This started as two separate posts. That might be why you're confused as to the audience of it.
Sir is Mac.

Rob-- I don't think Mac's trying to earnestly figure the game out. I've spelled out why. It's not about dislike. Mac brought that up. He knows I don't dislike him. He brought that up to guilt me into shutting up. He's seeing that won't work.

No I am just not interested in discourse with someone who sees everything I do through a negative lens. It's unproductive and unpleasant and I'd rather just do things my way. You are ignoring a lot of my play with these statements.

And I don't dislike you, nor do I think anything I did was toxic. I had a very tame tantrum and stopped almost immediately. You're the one who keeps bringing it up and complaining about me. I'd rather just move past it. Sorry that I flipped out btw.
I literally tried to engage with you and you declined because you are afraid of what actual engagement would bring. It's easier to demagogue.

This isn't me painting your actions in any way. You did that. Rather than engaging on the topic we have in common, you deflected and said I have nothing good to say.

Well fuck all the way off to baddie hell.

Jack – I don’t get the recent shade; I felt his case on Nutella felt naturally Jack-like, or at least not scum-like

Mushy middle
Sloonei – as mentioned, don’t know how to read him; at the moment feeling more + than - though
G-Man – gimmick aside, he’s just floating, but I don’t know if that’s necessarily scummy; as I type this, he explains it all again, so now I need to review…
Sprit – have paid him no attention this game
Speedchuk – low poster, need more to make a judgement
Nanook2.0 – seems different, but not necessarily scummy; TBD
Drago & Tranq – exist, apparently

Not at all fond of
Jay – doing nothing of note, but no one is seeing this apparently, so we’ll circle back here later cuz I don’t have the time now
Turnip – he’s sitting back a lot but clearly paying attention; that apparently fits his meta but I’m not convinced I’m seeing town here
Mac – for reasons many others have stated by now
Ted – has dropped down my list today; seemed too confident when defending Mac and to me that could be TMI
TSP – I know he’s been posting, but I actually don’t know what he’s done; I consider that not a good thing
SVS – must confess, a bit of a ‘vibes’ read here; early posts pinged me and I feel she began today clinging to my wagon too much, like she hoped it would be an easy out
Sabie – mainly for the bandwagon vote on Nutella; haven’t properly ISOed to make up my mind

Hope I got everyone.
I do not like this post.

You, like a teacher hoping to impress their administrator with a lesson play they'd never employ were it not for the observation in the first place, are reading as hollow, meaningless, and half hearted.
:haha:

I've had observations where the administrator gets to watch me grade work. I'm not putting on a show just because someone walks in with a laptop and sits down.
I REALLY hate it when people do those kinds of things. I'm like... just do what you think is best for the kids. And like... most of the time, while improvement is possible always, you're gonna do pretty well.
Like... I know very few teachers who are truly truly bad and need to be retrained with educational buzzwords etc.

Wait. I disagree that Mac is spewed as not the silencer/not on the silencing team. But even if he was, as you argue, that does not spew him as not scum, it just spews him as not on that team. Unless you are on the other team. :smoky: :smoky: :smoky:
Two things:
1) I like this analysis.
2) the word spew sucks

MacDougall wrote: Sun Mar 01, 2020 3:34 am Lol I feel like there are quite a few people who are just falling in love with the idea of catching me and not actually reading my play. Namely Dom, Nanook, Jack and now Nutella. Dom especially only really amped it up on me when I came back to thread live and a bunch of others (Jay, Nanook, Sloonei) all simultaneously started hounding me. It was too opportunistic and I do not trust.

I'm not really one who generally believes/trusts when people make self meta reads but if you've seen my GoC play, or really the vast majority of my mafia play, before (and I have been mafia in multiple), I can't see how you look at this game and think you're seeing the mafia version of Mac.

I'm not saying that I'm playing well or anything, quite the contrary, but mislynching me today would be a poor result. We should lynch someone who sucks more at Mafia ergo if they are mislynched would be no loss. Someone like Jay, Epi, or Sloonei.
There is no hunting here.
There is no attempt to solve.
It is all grievance based.

Should we lynch her, again, Mac?
MacDougall wrote: Sun Mar 01, 2020 3:50 am Ohhh I remember why Dom has decided to just tunnel me and not actually read the thread. It's because I snap scum read him and was right. Hardy har har.
A snap read you drop whenever it is inconvenient.

A snap read that is wrong.
A snap read that you won't defend. That you won't entertain pressure on.

Would be my guess anyways
I really really really really dislike his flip flop on how he read me and Nutella. He declared me a wolf and Nutella one we should follow after the two of us started battling. Then like 12 hours later, I was town and Nutella was scum because I read her perfectly.

His argument for Nutella being scum exists in its entirety at the time he expressed a strong townread on her. His read change does not come from a town perspective. It comes from a scum perspective mimicking townplay, ie trusting Jack's Nutella read.
AND it was rooted in a sudden memory of his hosting... where he then tried to link me to nutella?
