I am still really confused, but I enjoyed my team. I had a blast with you guys, and it was so fun to watch the game after I died and see you doing well. (Even if I was a bit confused.)

Also... Mafia of the Absurd on HV is going to start the beginnings of August, and there are 2 more roles open if anyone wants to sign up. Otherwise we're starting beginning of August and cutting a couple. :srsnod:
I would sign up, but I'm gonna be playing one, hosting another, and starting school (probably). :/ I'd love to play though.

I'm not, particularly.

It came up, and I remembered that I was one of those who had seemed pretty confident and voted for her rez.
If I had to vote in a vacuum tomorrow, I'd lean toward Aces over Mongoose because of the strange reaction to my info dump.

(I follow your line of thought Aces, but if it were me I'd scowl and then reach eagerly for the vote button.
I certainly wouldn't think "well, she's probably a baddie, but it might be *unfair* to vote for her").

I just didn't want anyone passing on Mongoose because I thought she was good :-\
Strange reaction? Because I didn't believe you right away? I've already made it clear I vote based on evidence and facts. If someone takes an infodump in the thread I am not going to take kindly to it, and I sure as hell am not going to take your word for it right away. I only took your information seriously when it became painfully obvious who you were and what you were doing.

I'm a civie. I have played this game civie all the way through. If you look back you will see that.
Is it really that painfully obvious? I read the roles like 3x and I still don't know. Usually I am not this dumb. :|
Exactly, Kate. In situations like this, you and I tend to get it at the same time and kind of nod at each other, ya feel?

I went with Mongoose based on a uh, gut feeling. But I've found several ways my intuition could have failed me in the time period since then, and now I have no confidence that earlier-nev was correct.

OK
Here's my two cents.

I believe Tanenbaum to be alive, unless Boomslang was Tanenbaum. We know that both Big Daddies were alive as of night 8. However, in that blood bath, perhaps one of them died. We lynched a Little Sister and I don't think the other one is dead. It could be. So let's count that as a half. JAck? I can't remember if he's dead? Last I heard, he wasn't. So, that's 4-ish baddies? Which is pretty bad considering we have 11 people in teh game and still have rogues.

All of Fontaine's crew is dead.
We've discussed who Cohen might be... I think his dancers might be dead given they have no protection. But Cohen, as long as he doesn't receive votes, is not a threat per say... only a liability if he decides he'd rather play with the baddies.

Andrew Ryan is dead. Spider Splicer is likely dead considering we haven't seen a kill from it in a while (never).
Of the Ledhead, Thuggish, Houdini, Nitro Splicers... I'm thinking two to three of them are dead. That blood bath was bloody, and those people were suspicious as hell. Not for sure or anything, but some of them were definitely part of this group. If not, perhaps security bots, of which we only have two confirmed deaths for. I think more than that are dead, through NKs and incinerations (what is that anyway???). Let's say there's 2 SBs alive. Let's also say 2 spicers. That's 4. Combined with the other four baddies, that's eight. Plus Cohen. 9. Two civvies if this is reliable. Of course, my numbers are pure guesses, but I think we should have these discussions. We have to think about who to lynch and who they might be.

Don't quote me on these numbers. I'm not trying to scare anyone. Things could be better or worse! I don't know. But this is what I do know. My role doesn't let me gather any information at all, so this is based on a spreadsheet I just made and educated guesses.

Kate, who are you looking at? Do you think Mongoose is as civvie as we used to given the poll? What about Aces?
I'd be more inclined to look at Aces since he put the last vote on Hedge, looks like a "oh well he's getting lynched anyway vote." I have also had my eye on Mongoose since she fought so hard to keep Bea alive but her vote for Nev doesn't seem all that suspicious since there was no way she was going to save Hedge by the time she voted. Why does everyone assume Mongoose is civ? I must have missed that.
She was incinerated and we brought her back the next night. We all thought she was civvie... but she could be bad. So, I think a nice Aces v. Mongoose dsuccsion is in order.

Then the last man standing crap started and now I feel a bit like I could swing a cat by it's tail and probably hit someone who would potentially have a kill at this point. I saw what you said about Nev, but I could also read it the way he explained what he was saying so I'm not sure it means anything. Either way I would bet if he isn't lynched someone will kill him tonight after a comment like that which could possibly be read as a slip up. Given his info he seems to have I am more inclined to believe hm at the moment and maybe toss a vote on hedgeowl. I have a bit of time to decide before I have to go to work though,so I want to think on it.

Linki: Aces, what role are you thinking Nev might be?
Thank you daisy! :)
Kate wrote:Nev is reading as genuine to me and we think we know he is, I think we should keep him around as long as we can.

Aces, an alliance is not a horrible idea. We all have targets on our back at this point and those who refuse to vote with the "civs" may show who is not one. After what happened last night we are all likely to get attacked to it anyway. Might as well give it our best shot while we have a chance to.

I'm inclined to trust nev.
Why didn't you feel the same way about Bea?
And why do you get to decide how this "civvie bloc" votes? Why are you a confirmed civvie? Do we really all have targets on our back? Yeah. Everyone does. There are roles that want everyone else dead. So... yeah... those people would be the ones painting the targets and they never had BTSC and thus don't know who each other are, right?
So... why would us civvies want to go ahead and say "HERE WE ALL ARE"?

WTF
How about we lynch like we normally would and stop acting like the game is over today. Calm the hell down people. We won't ahve another night that bloody if you read the roles. At least not tomorrow night.

I don't find that surprising at all.

Linki hedge:

Yeah, keep trying to ride that cart.
"I'm one of you! Nev is just trying to lynch me because I questioned him!"
My behavior would not make any sense at all were that the case.
I'd be immediately revealed on your death!
What would I say, "oops, I was so sure, please don't lynch me now"?
W I F O M

I'm holding out on my vote. I'm wondering whether we should give NEv (no matter how suspeicious he is being) a chance.

If he is Cohen... NKs would be preferable, right? That way he doesn't gain a kill ability? Am I understanding the role correctly?

Yeah, it's crazy how Dom's entire suspect list died in one night. Since that doesn't really make sense if he were a baddie I think instead it was used as a kill list apparently by both rogue bots/splicers and ADAM. Dom, this is a plea from all of us. Don't make any more lists. :(

Interesting that you say intel? This makes me think one of two things about you. At this point in the game I am not sure about either one. I don't think you have been voted for more than 5 times, but I will check that.
I think the baddies coincidentally chose people on my list to thwart our efforts at discussion since those were pretty much the only names out there...

And are you asking to not have anymore suspects? That would be bad. Especially since I think a good deal of the people that died were in the pool of people that the civvies need to eliminate.

Also, Kate, were you implying that some of those who were *sure* that Bea was bad were her teammates?
I didn't actually say I was suspicious of you this time though. When you thought I was a priority to lynch, I thought you were a priority to defend against. Then you stopped attacking so I stopped defending and didn't mention you really because I had no reason to. Then you mentioned me again so I pointed out that your opinion had changed again just to see your response and you confirmed why you'd laid off in the first place. There is a reason for my vote by the way, but it's not what you seem to think. I think it should be easy to work out though.
Did you not tell Bea I was someone to look at? Did you not just admit to doing that just a few posts ago? Did you not then drop me when I dropped you? Did you not then try and paint me in a negative light when I picked you back up?

Interesting that his defense against me of all people would seem frustrated, don't you think? Maybe looking for sympathy after how annoyed I was at Dom/Nutella? The case on INH has nothing to do with Dex. In the first few days, he was demonstrably blendy and appeared to be trying to keep under the radar. Then he jumps onto the potential bandwagon against me claiming Bea made a solid case when she didn't even definitely think I was bad. He claimed I looked like I was being coached, which is an odd thing to say of someone who's been playing for as long as I have (or even a couple of months really, nobody needs coaching after their first few games). He never explained that comment despite me asking him to/implying he should do four times. Despite what he said on the matter, I also still think it's weird that he claimed to be following what Bea said and then used Dom's thoughts as the reason to vote for me.
Dom wrote:I think INH, Bullz, Snow Dog, and DFaraday are all good people to discuss today.. :)
You've changed your tune. Again. I think there's more evidence on INH than any of the others you mentioned and will probably be voting for him.
Interesting that instead of questioning why I consider you a suspect again, you try to paint me a little black... NOT what you were doing before...

Like I said, I think that he could be in the new group of baddies/rogues.
First off you're still wrong about me, I'm not bad or independent. I threw out my little observation about your second opinion change to see how you'd react, I did pretty much know why you'd laid off and why you started again but I wanted confirmation of that as well. I kinda have tried to 'paint you black' before as well. Your name was in the list of people I find suspicious that I gave to Bea, I'm sure you can remember the one I mean. I've never actually claimed to trust you and do think there's a possibility of you not being pro-civvie (especially now we've got a bunch of new indies) but I think others need to be dealt with first. I'm going to look back into this movement that's building against Bea but if I don't vote her I'll vote INH.
Uth, I lots my post.

Basically, what I wrote boiled down to you seem to think I'm suspicious of me whenever I think you could be bad or think you're a priority. But the second I don't, you seem to change your priorities as well. If I weren't confined to my personal hotspot, I'd do a nice reread of you.

Also, Kate, were you implying that some of those who were *sure* that Bea was bad were her teammates?

No worries. Last Man Standing roles are generally what the name would imply; they have to outlive/kill everyone. Last player alive. These Splicer/Bot roles (NOT Cohen's Splicers) are all now the same, completely rogue and on their own.
Ok, thanks! That's what I was confused about.

Dom, I take it back, the baddie pool just got a lot bigger! :solitary:
Unfortuneately... it really did. :disappoint:

I have to say that INH's insanification isn't sitting right with me. For one thing, his posts don't look like they went through the insanifiers I'm familiar with, and also, its a little too convenient that his punishment just happens to be insanity right when he's up for discussion.

I am trying to get more focused in this game, and for now, Bea and INH are on my radar, ironic considering I've gone on record defending both. But I do have suspicion of Bea considering Indi's splicer-related death.

I also think Dom is an eager civ, despite the fact that he brought me up. :p And I find Nutella a bit pingy, she mostly seems to be going with the flow this game, a bit more blendy than I've come to expect from her. But she's nowhere near the top of my list.
These are the types of posts that have been lacking from DF, in my opinion, and why I think he could be discussed. :) This is the first meaningful thing I can remember him saying. No offense, intended.

Basicly a whole civ team has just gone rouge. A baddie has deflected to the other baddie team (As it was BWT's team, it's safe to assume that)..... The remaining baddie on that team just went pyscho and is about to go on a killing spree.

Do I have that all right?

Dom - you seem pretty set still in Snow Dog, INH or Bullz - in light of all this new info, your opinion of them doesn't change? Whyfore?

I'm willing to have the conversation, I'm just not sure what the conversation is.
Why would it change?
The baddie pool expanded... I think that some of them, especialy Bullz may be in the new baddie pool.
Bullzeye wrote:Wow. Hell of a night.
Boomslang wrote:Oh boy, things are about to get a lot deadlier up in here... RIP, DH.

People have mentioned INH as a possible target, but I'm not getting much of a bad read off of him. He was wrong about Dex, but so was I. His defense against Bullz feels legitimately frustrated as opposed to baddie posturing.
NOT what you were doing before.

Bullzeye wrote:
Dom: He wanted to lynch me for like half the game, then he didn't, now he seemingly does again. That's what the change was, you're right he's been after Snow for a long time. I'm not even sure what the case is against DF, is it just that he's quiet?
I stopped because I thought you might be a certain role, or in a group of roles. Then, those groups turned bad/rouge....
bea wrote:re: boomslang - ok - I can understand where you are thinking there. I will look forward to hearing what he has to say.

Dom: Yea - I understand - he was more of an advocator of you when I was Bea 1.0 because of the two of us stuck in the ridiculousness of B = "baddies", he (I would guess?) felt I was more civ? And if not me, then you? IDK - I'm just trying to get myself into the sort of mindset of "if it's not one of them, it's surely the other of them" that seemed to run this thread the early stages of this game. I get the thinking, flawed though it may be. TBH - I'm not sure what the case on DF is either. He's always quiet - he's more of a "quality not quantity" sort of poster, yet you always hope when he posts there's more "quality" than you get. Kinda like DP ya know? I've not seen why we should think DF is bad, but then again -

every civ bot and splicer (that are not the vote manipulation splicers that are cohen's) just turned rouge - I can't even being to make heads or tails of that...
The case against DF? I thought he'd be a good name to discuss because his post quantity and quality is pretty low. And DF, as a civ, usually has better quality, regardless of quantity.
Kate wrote:OK so Bea comes back after Indi and I make a pretty large case on her and votes for civ. Then comes back again, and doesn't even mention that case (or Daisy's) and just ignores all mention of her and no one thinks that's odd?

Not to mention, Indi is suddenly dead?

My vote will be going to bea today.
I think Bea would also be a good option.

I threw names out there because I can't vote and wanted to get my voice out there.
Snow Dog wrote:I have read back to since Bea 2 started posting and read Indiglo's comments about her. As she seems to know Bea's game very well I put a lot of faith in her points. It did seem like Bea slipped up and she did react differently than before. I voted Bea once and she was civ and don't want to make the same mistake again, but if she is bad I must.

So I'll probably vote Bea, but I need to read INH too. And Dom. Just comes and posts a few names to see what happens I guess.

Is your issue with me still that post I made about wanting to lynch Gleaming?
Gleaming/your reaction to my questioning led me to believe you, like Bullz, could be in the group that is now rogue/bad?
Boomslang wrote:

Fair enough re: the Dex case. Looking over things, the coaching comment does come across as particularly pingy, especially without further explanation. And this latest evidence about INH's punishments adds further fuel to the fire.

The Dom-Bullz fight has been quite interesting to reread as well. The way it suddenly drops away after Day 6 is really weird... What came to light that changed your mind, Dom?
Like I said, I think that he could be in the new group of baddies/rogues.

There is definitely something afoot with at least one of those situations, Russti!
The question is, which one? Dom has pinged me before, I think, but I'd have to read back to remember exactly what he said. No doubt INH is acting weird, but that may be normal for him. And a Freudian slip is in large part what got BWT lynched on back on Day 2, so if bea really made 2 there it may be worth following. On the other hand, if she is good it looks pretty clear that indiglo isn't, pushing so hard for her.
I pinged you when I said we should lynch Bullz over Bea a few days ago... if I recall correctly you said you weren't suspicious of me because Bea turned civ. .

and you think that just because indiglo pushes for Bea, if Bea is good, Indi must be bad?
That's pretty crap logic.
Oh, right. That's what it was. Thanks for the reminder.

I never claimed to be using logic about bea/indi. I you're absolutely right that indi could be wrong twice about the same person. I just think that without some kind of certainty that the player you're accusing is not on your team, most people would hesitate to go after the same player twice in a row. I know I would, anyway. And indi has been extremely vociferous this time. So I very much doubt they're the same alignment.

I don't expect you, Nev, or Epi to agree, since you follow only logical arguments, but it's running through my mind so I thought I'd share for others' sake.
I didn't really realize that Indi pushed for Bea the first time. But still, I was just pointing out how it's not really a solid argument that Indi MUST be bad.

I must say I'm not seeing the case on INH. I've played with him a couple times, and his behavior strikes me as pretty standard INH.
You think randomizing of a rez poll is civv like behavior?

Also, INH's response makes little sense.

Linki: Whoa. I hadn't noticed that on first glance, but it looks very much like a baddie slip to me. I wonder if she has some kind of explanation?
DF is usually laid back, yes. I've had quite a bit of experience playing with him, we even both started on the same game and were bad in it together. DF usually is quieter, but doesn't sit around saying virtually nothing... I think he's worth an eyeball or four.
DFaraday wrote: I've been making sure not to miss votes. Sitting back is how I roll.

Anyway, I do agree with Russ that there seems to have been vote manipulation, and the fact that I already was leery of Dex hasn't made me feel better about him. I'm not sold on INH, I think this is pretty standard for him, actually.

And I think Indi is reaching with her comments on Bea's (welcome back!) "was a civ" statement. It's pretty obvious what Bea meant, so I didn't read it as a slip up, just a reference to her previous known role. I think I'll be keeping an eye on Indi for now.

And welcome Kate!
Is there an echo in here?
