That said, I seem to recall the game with the most posts I ever played was Recruitment Mafia 1 hosted by LC and BR. I'm pretty sure that game got to around 10,000 total posts. I don't know how many times I posted in it though.

To borrow a footbaling term, Hedgeowl is my man-of-the-match. I think she could have rode that performance to a mexican standoff and come out on top. There was literally nothing to quote with which to make a case on. I remember looking at her posts, dumbfounded, thinking she was a genius. Some Walter White shit right there, Hedgeowl, a very well done.
Also Dom was fantastic. He was our hide-in-plain-sight star this game.

Sorry TH for your second lynching! But you insanified me so...I'm pretty surprised nobody connected it to me because I'd only just been rezzed.
I really enjoyed the game but after all the role hints it was quite easy to win once I was recruited. Pretty sure the only roles we didn't have info on or had figured out was Turnip Head 1.0 and Blooper's.

I will say that I am COMPLETELY frustrated with the way I lost. I didn't lose because of anything I did or did not do. I lost because several players were outed and outed themselves. It came to the point where if you were suspected, you dropped role hints until everyone got what role you were.
That's not how we play Mafia.
Good game, everyone. I had fun.
I honestly and truely had a ton of fun this game. I don't think I went overboard at any point this game (if you disagree, please do tell me) in terms of role-hinting, or integrity. In hindsight, I don't know if I had played differently if it would have changed anything.

Thank you for not hating me despite my absences.

I completely disagree with you. We can talk endgame about how I think people have played quite.... unsportsmanlike games.Long Con wrote:On the contrary, Dom, I thought that this lynch in particular was an invigorating and interesting one, very much what I consider to be good Mafia. I wanted to congratulate everyone on keeping this game very interesting, even if Dom ends up being the White Jacob secret role and it's a big mistake.
One thing, though... Dom's lynch survival is suspicious because there's nothing in the (unclaimed) Civvie roles that explain it. There is also nothing I can see in the Civvie roles that would explain Zeek's 100% knowledge that Dom is The Master. So... that's sort of suspicious for the same reason?
MP and Hedgeowl were responsible for his rez, I believe.Long Con wrote:He tried and failed to recruit Dom. I find that to be an idea worth thinking about.Chris wrote:LC, what if zeek knew who Dom was because he's "the recruiter"?
Let me know if I'm mistaken, but did we clear Zeek of being a Dalek (all dead) or a Cyberman (they killed him)? So, The Recruiter would be a fine possibility for him. Can you imagine if we rezzed The Recruiter?! Wow. Who was responsible for that rez?
Nope... I don't think that's how it is. I see it as The Recruiter and The Neutral LMS With Some Power We Don't Know. Or Evil instead of Neutral, but they ain't killing, soAlso, LC, do you like the idea of the "Jacob" vs "MIB" theory with 2 of the secret roles?.
I have said it before and I'll say it again-- I cannot way why I survived.Long Con wrote:At least Dom isn't Strax, right? So that's good. And how would Strax *know* that Dom is The Master. Strax never tried to kill Dom.keys56000000000 wrote:I can't help but note how both Dom and Zeek have expressed how much we would regret lynching them, after LC warned everyone not to let a Strax lynch happen..
Dom and Zeek, are either of you planning on claiming a Prize as the reason for you being a Civvie with powers no Civvie has?
Though, that'll be my only survival.
Zeek-- I refuse to respond to you simply because I think I would be the single most hypocritical mod in the world if I did so.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 11
I'll check in tomorrow. I must get back to work and sleep.
However, on the subject of role hinting--
I really hate it. I really, really hate it. I just really hate it. Always have. Always will. There has been an absurd amount of role hinting and outing in this game and, to be honest, for those who either don't get it immediately or do not feel comfortable (and for baddies who can't really role hint) it kind of ruins the game. I don't care if this is construed to be a baddie whining (It's not, but I discussed this with my team in a previous game... the last LOST game on RM), but it's honestly not fun to me. It completely demoralizes a large group of players and it really isn't fun. In that LOST game, my team only lost because some players were essentially forcing people to role hint and out themselves and if they didn't, they were lynched.
How fun is that?
Not very.
So, no, I will not role hint. I will not do that. I will not do what I am completely against.
I will say that you will hate the result of my lynch. I am not the Master. I am not a Cyber. I am not recruited. You will not like my lynch.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 11
Why would I argue about something I know literally nothing about?zeek wrote:Dom, enough of this, you are the Master.
You're the only unaccounted for vote in my book. You're not even arguing that Metalmarsh was recruited by the recruiter. Why? Because you know he wasn't, because you recruited him.
I criticized several players for assuming information about this exact situation.
You are.zeek wrote:Okay guys, you're unconvinced he's the Master? What about the recruiter?
I still think there's something to him trying to stop me decoding the Master's secrets, but look at the Epi 1.0 lynch again.
Roxy and Metalmarsh voting the same way. A big question mark over Dom.
I think he's the Master, but there's a chance he's the recruiter even if I am wrong.
I believe we are at an impasse.
