I'm never sure about him. Ever. But the whole death-resurrect thing that happened makes it seem like he's Civ, by the sheer numbers (could be Boddy, too, but again, numbers). I think mentioned that a little while back, too. Sooooo...at the moment, I'm not looking at him closely, but I always keep an eye that slippery fish :P

Wow. Did NOT realize people were gonna come after me like that. MP, you're even pointing out the weirdness that these people suddenly come out the woodwork to "agree" with you and muddling the so-called facts (e.g., saying I voted for sabie "at the end." No. Did not happen. I voted for her third out of five people, after discussing and logically changing my mind, with plenty of time to save her had she been my teammate. I'm tired of repeating myself). What are you thinking now, Mr. Sock?

Hedge, you point out my MR vote, and I'll be honest - I forgot about sabie voting for MR in the first poll and didn't think that through when I was posting earlier (I had just spent an hour and half catching up with DW and was both a little brain-dead and needing to leave by 7 to be where I needed to be tonight on time. Excuses, excuses). However, I stand by thinking his behavior/voting patterns have been suspicious and blendy - he voted Epi with no explanation Day 1, then seems inclined to agree and vote with Epi for SVS, then turns around and votes Canuck with no previous inclination towards her, nor an explanation of his own to back it up. Perhaps he's busy. Perhaps he's playing an unconventional baddie game as his teammate votes for him. Perhaps he's Boddy. But he's definitely acting suspicious.

I hope I survive long enough to think about this and see what others have to say, as well as look at others, too. Also, voting gnocchi because I made a batch last week and it. Was. AWESOME.
Yeah, the fact that people followed me was strange, the fact that they were getting the facts wrong was even stranger. Civvies not paying attention or baddies looking to slide by?

What I'm thinking now is that I don't believe you're bad, and that I look forward to hunting alongside you again, assuming we both survive the night. :)

What did you think of the votes made against you? Like, does any of them stick out as particularly suspicious? I have my thoughts, but curious to see if you agree.

The thing about Bloopers vote, though, was that she was the third vote for Sabie, when MR had two and there were still several people to vote. That seems like a rash move for a teammate. But I have to agree with you regarding her posts. MR was not all that, I only voted for him because of his vote, becasue of the posting thing, i had no real suspicions of anyone at that point.

GAHHH finally back. Thursdays are hellishly busy!

You keep saying it's a logical move for a teammate, but I don't see how on earth my vote would be logical if I were on a team with sabie (which, for the record, I am not). It's much simpler (and correct, I might add) to see it as a Civ move. Points addressed:

1) I was more suspicious of MR than anyone throughout that whole deal (and right now still wonder where he is and why he voted Epi) until sabie flew in and did her drive-by vote, which happened towards the end of the Day period. I equated them, then found her behavior more suspicious upon further speculation. Our banter brought forth the idea and I became convinced that her actions were more suspicious (though honestly, not much more) than MR's. I'd still like an explanation from him. But what you saw that you don't normally get to see (and really only happened because of that lovely contest) were my thoughts in action as we were posting at the speed of, well, thought. And thoughts can and do change.

2) I was the third out of five people to vote sabie. There were two votes on two other people at the time, including MR. Why would anyone throw their teammate under the bus with a clear opportunity to get votes away from her by making her have the majority with several votes left to cast? I wouldn't. That's sloppy. I'm not sloppy. I'm logical, and this wouldn't be logistically sound (or sane) if I were her teammate. Rather cruel, actually.

3) I don't do contrived. I either say it honestly, or I don't say it. Of course I'm going to mention/deflect to last-minute voters. I posted and discussed for over an hour. I was outright with my opinions and risked changing my mind in the thread, which sparked your attention in a bad way. I believe that people lying low and opportunistically voting at the last possible minute (literally!) are more suspicious and are getting a closer look from me. I hope you do the same.

Is there anything I didn't address, Mr. Sock? I'd like to continue baddie hunting with you, because we apparently make a good pair  So don't go killing the Bloops or the baddies will be happy and we'll all be sad (and I'll find the saddest Blooper picture you've ever seen).

Also, not drinking. Not after that weird wine shit with the Hobbit.
Okay, this is an extremely fair response. Not sure if I believe you yet, but it's a very good defense.

Whom do you suggest looking at then?

So let me get this straight...Niju was first pushing MR, then she was saying MR and Sabie (once Sabie was brought up) were pretty much equally suspicious, and then she said Sabie wins out. I don't know....sounds like typical Day 1 behavior to me. She was trying to decide who seemed most suspicious. She isn't at the top of my list, I just don't see anything yet if there is something to see.
Something like that, yeah, but you can look for yourself. I appreciate you contributing. Sure, I could be wrong, but I'm a bit perplexed since I think it's obvious she was trying to save a teammate.

Okay, here's Blooper's most significant posts throughout the ending of Day 1. Seriously, just read them in succession. #25 is the post that singlehandedly did it for me, though the whole picture paints one of very likely teammate.

And yes I realize I could link these so this will be a somewhat long post since I didn't, but I feel it's helpful to see them all in a row and there aren't THAT many quotes.

11
But kpence is totally new so maybe he didn't understand the poll? Why would you consider a vote there?

And then would you be voting for MR or Epi? I assume the former because it was unexplained?

20
True. I considered that about kpence when I saw his number of posts, so I guess this discussion will also point this out to him?

And out of those two, if I had to choose, I would indeed go with MR without the explanation. Nothing set in stone, although we're running out of time.

13
Pushing MR vote.

26
I've re-read this thread three or four times today and the only remotely suspicious thing is that vote (if I'm going to give kpence the benefit of the doubt, which I am right now). But you make a good point about doing something that weird on Day 1 - rather risky for a baddie so early. Gahhhhh I just want an explanation!

17
You'll note that if you read through Blooper's posts she's pretty waffly and agreeable, in an attempt to seem reasonable, even though she obviously has a vested interest in pushing an MR vote. Sabie votes for MR around this time. Blooper backs off MR a bit here after my counterargument that it seems unlikely a baddie would do that.
nijuukyugou wrote:

46

25
I mean, that's true, BUT the timing is totally different. It would not be in a baddie's benefit to vote the way MR did, but it would be in a baddie's benefit to save a teammate to bandwagon, or I guess just to bandwagon in general, which Sabie COULD be doing.

But they are definitely both weird. I'm still far from feeling real confident in a Sabie vote, but it's better than random, and we've given her a chance to explain it. The possible baddie benefit is what makes it worse than MR's. Why she didn't explain it though... that seems unfavorable. So... IDK.

48
True. Now I want two explanations. In less than ten minutes.

27
Agreeable.

Contrast this with #25, just three posts before. MR and Sabie's actions are equally suspicious, and now Sabie's is most opportunistic? She also makes a point to say "Not confident". Come on.

Re: Clue: The Movie [DAY 1]

Sorry for being mad, Boogs, but I seriously just spent nothing but refreshing like a madman to win this contest and now we've lost it.

Well, Sabie's back. But I guess it's too late for an explanation. Still REALLY curious though.

I'm putting my vote in before I run out of time.

Seriously weird day. Yeah, I'm not sure where everyone else is, though some appear to be reading the thread and not posting??

She posted in other games.

25
Yeah, very good point. Has she even posted here once? I can't recall. Well, I'm voting for her now. Let's hope she's just a newbie baddie who was trying to take advantage of the situation.

Me too, haha. This is seriously the strangest Day 1 I've participated in for quite some time.

I also feel like I have to use my vote to save myself (familiar place, yeah Alex?).

25
Yeah, man, been there many times. Too many. :p

Are you going to vote Sabie then or...?

nijuukyugou wrote:sabie's in here, too. Perhaps she is explaining herself as we speak?

26
She's actually been in here since I originally said I was going to give her 5-10 minutes to explain herself, and it has been that long. I'm still waiting, but I won't wait much longer.

And I realize my vote is predicated on WIFOM... but considering I was heavily contemplating randomizing, it's all I got.

MovingPictures07 wrote:It seems sort of weird to be OK voting for Sabie when MR also voted someone without explanation, but I believe at least MR posted he was voting, and obviously was first -- whereas Sabie hasn't even posted why she voted MR, and the timing of her vote is what makes it suspicious IMO, as if it was an easy way to get out of having to explain a vote.

Still waiting on her response, or I will vote her.

46
Understandable, but MR's post wasn't really much better than not posting at all. No explanation. Both are weird.

So... IDK.

She's a talented baker (but not as good as Eloh), she's funny (but not as funny as Eloh), she's pretty (but not as pretty as Eloh), she puts up with my bullshit (but not as much as Eloh), and she teaches British literature (okay Eloh blows at that one).

Not voting either of those ladies.

19
LOL.

Why are you not voting for them? And which knocker seems most suspicious or are you unsure?

38
kpence for giving you a shot at redemption. He would have been better off not posting at all. It isn't difficult. And he caught his mistake within a minute of making it. And now he votes himself. And since then has nothing else to add to the discussion. Prior to that, he had not posted either.

Unlike others, I assume that people come into here knowing how to play the game and read our documents. When I visit another forum, I read their founding documents.

And a self-vote is not an accident. Read the title: "Who shall be the first Little Indian to go?" Unless you are Cherokee and visiting your former allies in France, you don't vote for yourself.

Horse shit.

What fucking number are we at?

23
So you think he sabotaged on purpose then?
