Trust me, I will be playing chill, as silly as I can, and probably hardly posting. Just can't handle being normal MP this game. We'll see how long I can keep all that up without getting addicted and supersrs anyway.

And with regards to the site loading slow, to clarify, I have no idea why it's happening. Nothing appears to be any different than it has been for the past few months, so why it's randomly doing this now is beyond me, and Bluehost is assuring me it isn't a server issue.

I cannot spend a ton of time looking into long-term solutions for this until the end of September because I'm just, to put it bluntly, ridiculously swamped until then. But I am devoting time to this and will try to do whatever improvements I can on my own tonight, even though I should be working on my paper. Hopefully it'll help.

I've been looking into it. It seems there are a couple of things I can try but none of them are quick fixes and likely won't take effect until at least tomorrow. I'm on it though.

I am able, but this site is loading like molasses for me. It took 90 seconds just load this response box.

Ugh, that's bothersome. It's been a bit slower for me lately but nothing like that. I'll look into running some diagnostics tonight to see if I can address it at all.

My top two are looking good right now so the dentist isn't particularly interested in removing them. The bottom right needs more scans because there's a bit more risk involved because of where the gums are. I'll get that one out soon.

Oh man, I understand that. I got all of my wisdom teeth out at once and it was brutal for that first week. Thankfully I managed to avoid the dry sockets problem.

I stayed awake while mine were taken out. In hindsight, probably not the best option.

Nobody gives a shit about retirement promises. If you want to play, play it. We'll love having you. If you don't want to play, don't. Nobody can guilt trip you into doing anything.

But if you are busy to the point you want to die on N1, you should probably wait for a better time to break your retirement promise.

I agree. Life changes, situations change. I've seen SO MANY players say they're retiring completely or temporarily only to come back earlier than they said they would (if they ever did), myself included. It doesn't matter. I'm going to be busier than fuck the next month myself but I'm here to have fun.

I'm still technically 'undecided', leaning no just because I know how addicted I get and I have way too much on my plate right now -- comprehensive exams in a little over a month, two classes I still have to prep before the Fall semester, my own research which has taken an incredible amount of time this summer and I still have a lot to go because data collection is a bitch, then research assistant stuff (which I get paid for, as well as teaching), plus we're moving apartments by the end of the month, so the timing is bad all around. And did I mention I get addicted too easily?

So we'll see.

In the meantime, assume I'm not playing and recruit like crazy.

I really, really want to play this, but I just do not have any room in my life for mafia right now or probably any time soon.

I'll do everything I can to help fill this thing though. Come on, folks! Let's try reaching out to site regulars we haven't seen in a while and talk to your friends who've never played and see if you can get them to try it out.
