Re: The Syndicate 2014 Game of Champions: Suits and Sorcery
- S~V~S and Bass helped ensure our evil victory in WWE, which started in '13 but didn't finish until after the new year. I got myself lynched on purpose (with a lynch switch) in a crazy-close lynch in that game to cause chaos... and it worked.Made wrote:so, any spectacular performances i should know about? everyone here has won, so ya'll gotta have some stories pre Misfits.

- Turnip Head swept the floor with the civvies in Harry Potter.

- S~V~S dominated as the independent Apocalypse in X-Men.

- juliets proved the best Smaug (serial killer) imaginable in The Hobbit.

- Black Rock proved the best Tyler Durden imaginable in Fight Club, despite timmer being the best Narrator and juliets being the best Marla imaginable.

That's all full games pre-Misfits.

timmer: Watch out if he isn't on your side. If he is on your side, listen to him.

Boomslang: Generally a bit quieter, but nonetheless possesses insight. He hasn't played a game in a while so my read of him will need some updating.

Yep! Made won Cars and he was previously ineligible. I imagine once he logs back on and sees his PMs, he'll come running here, since he really wanted to play.S~V~S wrote:Are any of the winners of Cars new Champions? Or unsigned up? I don't know that this would be all that family friendly, so Tink & Simon might have to wait for another Elo family game, or Disney theme (anyone feel like doing a Frozen mini game?).

Sounds good. Either way works for me! Though I suppose the 3rd might be more preferable since I'll have a couple of day period where I'm out of commission driving back to Texas.Epignosis wrote:If there is no objection (and the game is full), I can start a 48 hour Day 0 on New Years Day itself. Yep!Epignosis wrote:^Yep.
As I discussed with MP, anyone who wins a game this calendar year is eligible to participate in the 2014 GoC. However, the games that ended (or are ending) this month will have their themes most likely reflected in next year's game rather than this one.
Also, there will be another game going on for Job #1 so that anyone wanting to play a second game, who dies in Champions, or is ineligible for Champions can still play in a normal full game.

I've had it in the back of my mind since even before hosting the Bioshock game in 2013, but amid all my different games I've been developing it hasn't gotten the attention yet that it deserves.Bass_the_Clever wrote:I think it would make an amazing game.MovingPictures07 wrote:Considering I already had that in mind for a future game but haven't developed the game fully yet, I'd be honored.Epignosis wrote:MP, we should cohost a Bioshock Infinite game.
But I promise it will come to this site and I will try my damnedest to do the theme justice. Partnering with Epig could make that even better.

Super Mario World
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Maybe?
I don't know. Something like that.

Well, really, I just hate permissions when it comes to changeable votes and editing. The former is not associated with permission groups while the latter typically is, so for every single possible group every time a subforum's permissions are created or altered they have to be appropriately customized.

Totally understandable. And if anyone were to win a game before EOY and they hadn't previously, that would be an additional possible player.Epignosis wrote:Thanks.MovingPictures07 wrote:I am so fucking excited for this game.
The roles are sweet, Epig. Totally loving your inclusions.
Also, I presume the number of players/roles is subject to however many players want to play, so it could theoretically end up being less or more than 30?
I do not want to run this with fewer than 30 roles, but I do not mind adding if it comes to that. There were 40 winners this year, so I'm counting on 75% of those people to sign up.
Let's make this as big a player list as possible!

Also, the only role that I really miss who isn't currently in the player list is The Master.
