I'll try to be better this time.

Return to “WEEK 27: EZ Fantasy Baseball 2016”

I just did the math. At this point, if our bullpen doesn't give up any more runs after that 3-run homer, their overall ERA will go down!![]()
*Sobs into a lasagna*
Edit: Literally gave up another 2-run homer as I was typing this. Man, 2020 can't come soon enough for the Reds.
LOL for whatever reason when I quickly read this I thought you called them the Diamondsucks.S~V~S wrote:I already had mine in, the Diamondbacks.
It happens, don't sweat it!G-Man wrote:Okay, I fixed MP's team in the earlier post. Everyone else's teams were accurate. I'm not sure why I goofed on MP's.
I am more interested this year than most years as well.G-Man wrote:You know I have to say that I'm actually excited about baseball for the first time in my adult life (since the Red Sox broke the curse, really) thanks to this fantasy stuff. I haven't watched any games but I've been following my weekly picks' game scores just about every day/night.
I think I may switch EZ Fantasy Football over to this new-team-each-week-for-points format.
JaggedJimmyJay wrote:There's probably a reason the top 3 in runs scored all play in the Reds' division.MovingPictures07 wrote:Interesting, the top 3 are all in the same division (as the Reds, that's the only reason I know), right?
Yeah, I was surprised to see the Braves' current W-L ratio. So far, I've only been looking at the team that certain teams are playing for the upcoming week and trying to judge whether a relatively good team is playing a relatively bad team. I probably need to be doing more research though because my picks have been completely uninformed beyond that.S~V~S wrote:Miamis Dee Gordon got suspended for steroids, and AZ is playing them 3 games this week. AZ has better pitchers in each of those games, so the Diamondbacks are a pretty good pick. AZ, San Fran & Philly are all really close in runs, AZ could have a good week. Their other match ups are Colorado and the Braves. The Braves suck so far this year. Colorado is their toughest opponent this week, so if they do well against them this weekend, they could breeze the rest of it, even with only one day off.
Even I know enough about baseball to know that's weak.Sloonei wrote:The Nats just got shut out twice in a row. By the Phillies.
G-Man wrote:I read that post way too fast at first and only picked up on the words "my fantasy," "Albert Pujols," and "lots of balls."Sloonei wrote:One of my fantasy teams is depending on Albert Pujols to hit lots of balls over fences this year.
Why is that?JaggedJimmyJay wrote:The Cubs are probably the best team in baseball. The problem is, once the playoffs start that means basically nothing. I think the MLB playoffs are a total crapshoot more than any of the other professional leagues in America.
It'd be pretty awesome if they did. I can't imagine being a hardcore Cubs fan and having to wait out a drought this long.Sloonei wrote:on paper they're definitely the strongest team in baseball right now. They're great in every area and have plenty of guys on the roster who've won before (three of whom did it with the Sox in 2013, for the record). I'm pretty much a full-time Cubs fan at this point. They need to win.MovingPictures07 wrote:I think the craziest thing about that is it predicts the Chicago Cubs as having the best chance of winning the World Series. Could this be the year?
Somehow that doesn't surprise me.S~V~S wrote:My dealer told me he gets them from MM!
That seems sensible enough, especially since your Yankees pick really paid off.S~V~S wrote:I picked the two teams I never want to root for for the first 2 weeks to get them out of the way; next week I start picking for strategy.
Hell no. :PMetalmarsh89 wrote:MP texted me and said he wanted the Padres next week. :P
Just kidding, I don't even have a phone right now.
