Return to “Whatcha Watchin? (Spoiler Free)”
Something like that, yeah.Sorsha wrote:The series centers on Prairie Johnson, an adopted young woman who resurfaces after having been missing for seven years. Upon her return, Johnson calls herself "The OA", exhibits scars on her back, and can see, despite having been blind when she disappeared. The OA refuses to tell the FBI and her adoptive parents where she has been and how her eyesight was restored, and instead quickly assembles a team of five locals to whom she reveals that information, also explaining her background story. Finally, she asks for their help to save some other missing people who she claims are currently in the same situation she has described to them. ~WikipediaScotty wrote:Tell me about this show. I was afraid of that lol.Ricochet wrote:The reviews have not been very kind.
I haven't! And I'm not much of a movie guy but I am a bit intrigued myself.Dragon D. Luffy wrote:Hey Socky and G-Man, have you seen this one?
Haven't seen it myself but looks cool.
Yeah, it's a tough call, all three of those seasons are pretty good.Ricochet wrote:So far s2 still hit it right with me, followed maybe by s4 > s3.MovingPictures07 wrote:
Don't worry, Parks and Rec is definitely good. And definitely worth it. Season 1 wasn't great, but it gets better.
Season 3 or 4 is probably my favorite, but I really don't know what my favorite season is.

Aaand season 1 went by fast in two sits, because the whole thing is kinda short. I only laughed consistently at Book Club so far. Dat Swanson face when he realized he has to sit through Leslie's confession rather than having it on e-mail was priceless. Fat Pratt is pretty fat; and good, I can see why they kept him. Paul Schneider needs to go oh wait he will woo.
Ok, season 2 ep 4 was insane. That's more like it.
So season 2 was hella fun, but I'm not feeling it with season 3, at least the first half. Say it isn't so.
Rashida Jones needs to go...damn, I should have known lightning doesn't struck twice.
I feel pretty similarly re: GoT.Missing Person wrote:Nope, and don't really feel like I could get into it. While I was wrong about BB, I just don't see GoT having the premise to even suck me in.juliets wrote:What about GoT MP or MP? Do you watch that?
Like, I didn't really like the premise of Breaking Bad before watching it, but I knew that the humanity of it would pull me in. Same with Walking Dead, but I could see even the premise being reasonable enough for me to watch.
Game of Thrones just doesn't do that for me.
This is duly noted.Missing Person wrote:So far the first two are the worst. I'd stand to say the 4th is pretty close, but it still isn't as bad because reasons that i refuse to spoil.juliets wrote:I'm glad to find someone else who is squeamish about Walking Dead. I watched the first two and gave up. I also don't watch GoT or The Following for the same reason.Missing Person wrote:I just started in on Walking Dead last week, albeit slowly. I'm way too squeamish for this show and yet it draws me in.
Four episodes in a week. I finished Breaking Bad in about 3 weeks-ish.
The character development is pretty good, so I'm wanting to stay watching even when I know I'm gonna have to turn away when things really hit the fan.
It's on the list of "Shows I wouldn't normally watch but I'm getting sucked into" alongside Breaking Bad.
Good to hear! Yeah, I feel the same way about it. I really love Doctor Who, but I wouldn't say it's my favorite show.fingersplints wrote:So far so good! I don't think its the greatest show ever, but thats what I like. It's fun
I'm onto the 10th Doctor, and the episode I just started has his HP dad in it too! I like seeing actors I know from one thing in something else
How do you like it?fingersplints wrote:We had a Twilight Zone marathon last year. We still have some to finish up so should do that.
I'm a couple episodes into the second series of Doctor Who.
That's exactly what I was doing! I wouldn't consider myself a huge fan, but I won't argue that it's freaking amazing. I don't know why I don't watch it more. I totally should.sabie12 wrote:I love watching the marathon every year. One of the best shows everMovingPictures07 wrote:The Twilight Zone
I'm loving it. I had the same problem; did you start with Season 1? Season 1 episodes are pretty weak, comparatively anyway, and it didn't grab me -- struck me as a poor man's The Office.Made wrote:Just started Twin peaks. Great show once you make it through the pilot
tell me how you like that. Finished (most of ) 30rock a while back, and made it through 2-3 episodes of Parks and recs, but it never really hooked me.MovingPictures07 wrote:Parks and Recreation
