Agree that Nut was somewhat of a surprising kill given the post restriction. But she was very unlikely to get lynched because of tipping the scales on Soneji.
Also Flash Hundred Yard Dash is a 'good guy' (probably), and nutella had the post restriction to prove it.
The anti-town faction(s) have fakeclaims, so don't get too crazy with this kind of talk.

I don't want you to think I meant anything like "on thin ice"... I just made up an expression that was similar. I mean, there's very little to judge people by, and the votes here that are maybe supposed to get some reactions or get things going just don't have any oomph to them. No respondable accusations behind them. What are they for?

I have to disagree with this. Then I have to question if this is genuine or not. From where I stand, we're doing pretty well. We have stuff to work off of. I feel I have a little townie nucleus to work with, and those are all factors in our favor.

We have a 48 hour day, I'm waiting for more people to check in, see reactions, etc. I plan to do some chatting with Dys again this Day Phase, as I feel we made a good team yesterday. With additional input from additional green feels, I'm hopeful we'll accomplish something again this time.

I was actually just contemplating the pros and cons of doing a mass claim, and reading about it. I'm interested in hearing others' thoughts on this idea. When I was coming up in mafia (eons ago, LOL) info-dumping and role outing was a mod-kill offense. So this realm of role claiming and info-dumping is foreign soil to me. I know there are definitely pros and cons, and am interested in discussing whether we think it would be helpful, and at what point in the game it might be most helpful.

I agree that the night killing of nutella was an odd choice. It does tell us though that at least some of the mafia team is not a total no-show absentee. That makes me think that folks who have been totally absent are less likely to be my best mafia vote.

That would tend to remove folks like BWT and Never from my suspect pool.

Went through both analyses of speedchuck again, and I feel most comfortable moving him down to yellow now.

Especially the point about Soneji answering for him, and then speedchuck being unwilling to vote Soneji. Dys's points on speedchuck were valid, they just didn't persuade me as strongly for some reason. It must be how Epi's breath always smells of alcohol.

One thing that's stuck in my mind is why Rej voted the host/non-player option. Did anyone else notice that? I mentioned it at the time, but got no feed back, so I thought maybe I was just being paranoid. But the more I think about it, I just can't figure it.

). It looked like fluff disguised as something to me.

But, that faked random vote on Kyle added to it. I agree, it seems like it was intended as "oh noes, I don't know what's going on, so I'm just going to vote this guy".

Posted a big post talking about possible game mechanics, which looked good. But I agree, that Kyle vote is meh at best.

I'll say this: indiglo is the one I'm most confident in labeling a civilian, and I'll tell you why:

I went after birdwithteeth, and she said nothing. I went after Spacedaisy, and she threw a fit.

She said nothing in the first case, and called me opportunistic in the second (or, as indiglo would remind us, that we are partners and I'm up for murdering my own teammate, which isn't something I do unless my hand is forced).

I believe the disparity between her reactions is that indiglo was defending Spacedaisy the person and not Spacedaisy's role. If memory serves, the two are friends and know each other from Mafia of Ages Past. I know indiglo was one of the first people on this site. Also, indiglo hates birdwithteeth [citation needed].

What indiglo's reaction tells me is that she does not know Spacedaisy's alignment (she accused us both on one hand, as she reminded us) and that she was going to bat for a friend who isn't around, and if she is bad with Spacedaisy, I don't think she'd be so bold as to double down on this defense by casting a vote for me.

indiglo gets a civilian cookie for Day 1.

Have you played much with Epi?

I haven't actually played in years. I'm guessing around 4 years? I'm not sure. Anyway, this is my third game after a long hiatus, and my first game receiving a town role after coming back. I played with Epi years ago, and I believe he was in at least 1 of the other 2 games I played since my hiatus.

No, I don't. But I don't know what "where applicable" means.

Other that Rej being ??? to me, I guess Bob is the only one who has actually tried to question stuff and progress the game. But I don't have a read on them myself.

I 100% understand. I'd be freaked out about Rej if he had claimed my role as well. I'm not even sure I understand what a bastard game is, or how all the mechanics are supposed to work in this game. I just don't see what mafia Rej has to win by coming out full force role claiming Day 1 when no one even asked or seemed curious about it.

I have to head out soon for a while myself, but what was it about Epi that made you vote there? At this point, I feel the most ??? about him and speedchuck for voting Daisy. Speeedchuck didn't even explain his vote there IIRC. So maybe I like that less? I'm not sure yet either. Not enough to go on today, which is the suck.
