I was interested to see how the game would play out, because if you had happened upon one of the killers earlier, Snow Dog, it probably would have quickly become obvious who they were and you could have done a great deal of damage. On the other hand, if zebra hadn't missed kills and had spent her money, the Pirates would have had a much easier time. I'm pleased that it could have gone one of three ways on the last day.

Having finally tracked down LeChuck in the bowels of Monkey Island, it was a simple matter to dispatch him and his ghostly crew with some home brewed root beer goodness. It felt like a victory. In fact, it felt damn good. That is, until you realize that your ship is destroyed and you're stuck here on an island full of ruthless cannibals. Whoops. Maybe next time plan a better escape route.

After a long and exhausting day of roaming around Monkey Island trying to solve that stupid puzzle with the gibbon, the remaining adventurers grew testy with one another. Tempers flared. Accusations flew like boulders bouncing off rubber trees. Sooner or later, someone was going to get hurt.

Just as he was about to clobber Scotty in the head, Long Con was distracted. "LOOK BEHIND YOU!" someone yelled. "A THREE-HEADED MONKEY!"

Long Con turned, and what he saw scared him to death.

I like that solution because it plays to my laziness and wanting to go to sleep.

I appear to have accidentally let the poll run for three days instead of two. ALthough I said 48 hours in the post, I expect people are confused and that is why they have not voted. Should I end the poll in 10 minutes as I originally intended, or allow it to run an extra day or until everyone has voted?

It's time for the final trial, the treasure hunt. Below, you'll find a treasure map, only it seems the pirates have forgotten to indicate where the actual treasure is. A minor oversight, but a nettlesome one, as now you'll have to search manually.



You start in the center and can move three spaces horizontally or vertically. For example, you could move: Left-Left-Left-Left or North-East-South-North etc.
Please post your movement in the thread, and the person who lands on, or comes closest to the square with the treasure will win it. If two players are equally close, the player who posted their move first will win it.

Thievery, eh? Very well. In the game, there is a hilarious sequence during which Guybrush attempts to rob the Governor's Mansion. This whole sequence plays out without interaction from the player, although it looks otherwise. Over the course of this madcap farce, you acquire a staple remover which, although aslleged to be useful, is never employed in the rest of the game. What a missed opportunity? Please PM me the most creative use for a staple remover you can think of, for a prize.

I have heard this band, and regard them as one of the worst bands ever, but don't let that discourage you.

Time to master the sword! On Monkey Island, sword fights are won or lost not based on how fast your feet and hands are, but on how quick your wit is. A properly delivered insult will do more to demoralize your opponent than the sharpest rapier. For example, if you encounter a pirate who boasts "You fight like a dairy farmer" a response along the lines of "How appropriate, you fight like a cow!" will give you a sure victory.

Thanks JJJ, I was just about to post something similar. I get that it's a heated game, but let's try to aoid personal attacks please. This is all about fun.

So you want to learn to fight, do you? Well, it's not going to be easy. Melee Island is home to some of the toughest swordsmen around, and you'll have to go up against them if you ever hope to defeat LeChuck and his gang. Fortunately, it's a great day for training.
